The representative explained everything about how to use the tow dolly except for how to get the tire straps undone. This made things difficult when I tried to load up the car, but I called U-Haul and they explained how to do it.

Hi, I had a horrible experience!!!! I was guaranteed to have the truck I rented for 10am on saturday november 1st. I took work off that day and picked up a few people to pay them by the hour to help me move. I called at 8am two hours before and was told that my truck is here. I get there at 10am and there was no truck?!? This is absolutely not acceptable. Now I missed the opportunity to work, lost money, wasting money on the help that I had. You guys guarantee the truck?! Makes no sense. He got me a truck for 5 PM that day, now its raining and now I have to move in the dark??! When I purposely scheduled this 1-2weeks in advance to have it during the day. I even still had to pay for the services when I returned! I want a credit back on my account for the service of the entire day I feel I should not have paid anything for this entire experience. Please feel free to contact me. If I don't hear back i will never recommend your services to anyone when moving. 860-463-6566 Marc G.

The checkout and checkin process was very quick except they gave me a truck that was supposed to be in the front of a row and it turned out it was the last one. Had to wait for someone to come over, find the right truck, go get the keys for the other two trucks and move them before I could leave. All time on my 6 hour rental clock.

I booked a truck on short notice so called the company as I thought this was the easiest way to get a tuck. I set up a time and place to pick it up. When I went to pick up the truck I was informed they actually didn't have one and were supposed to call me but didn't. I was informed there was a truck available at another location and could go there as a walk -in. There they got a truck for me easily. I was asked to sign a paper saying I had looked over the truck for scratches and dents and made sure all were marked and to initial that the truck was clean without even being told which truck it was or being asked to go do so. I assumed this was standard now and wouldn't be a problem as I was informed it used to be that the customer service person would go out and go over the truck with the customer. I went out to the truck and the inside had all kinds of spills over theindide cup holder area and dirt/leaves on the floor. There were multiple scratches and dents not marked with a sticker. Thankfully I spoke with someone out in the lot who agreed the truck was not clean and helped facilitate getting a different truck for me. This one also had multiple scratches and dents not marked. I now felt obligated to purchase the additional insurance as I did not want to be liable for any scratches that were there previously. The attendant there did Mark a few more scratches after I asked specifically to have them marked. I will say the staff here was very pleasant and accomodating and I had no problems returning the truck. I would have felt better about the rental had I been asked to go look through the truck or even better have the service rep gone over it with me as has been done with other companies I have rented from.

The worker that 1st assisted me appeared to be on some sort of drug. He continuously gave mis information. Also, during the process of my reservation, he stopped serving me, he said, wait here, and someone will be there to help me. So I was left standing until the next available worker could assist. Then there were some type of computer glitch that duplicated charges as well as charge me for unnecessary items. I spent more time at U-Haul that day than with my family (2 hours) . My son in law called the store manager. and the manager came down and apologized. That was a good gesture but I will not EVER use U-Haul service again and I WILL spread the word. Because 2 hours at U-Haul is just tooooo long especially when reservations were made. From a Highly Dissappointed Customer After that, its time for me to pick up my items at the U-Haul in Norcross, GA. That was a bad experience as well. Because they say I cant pick up my items until I pay. Okayyy fair enough. So I give them my debit/credit card and they tell me my card was denied. WHAT????? So I had to call MY bank and of course I have more than enough money in my account to pay for the substandard service. So about an hour or after an hour, the company was able to resolve their issue and I was able to get some of my belonging. Of course the staff was apologetic. I'm just appalled, you would think a big company like this was capable to provide quality service in what they specialize in. Again I will not use your service and I will advice other people not to do the same What you can do to improve, Well hire competent people or take the time out to thourhly trained the people you hire. I realize that U_Box is relatively a new program (well, according to one manager) Therefore there should be some type of discount or something when mistakes or made such as the one I experienced.

Problem was they could not figure out the weight my truck could handle and it made me have to wait longer to get out of U Haul..Had reservation. My 2005 Trailblazor had factory trailor hitch but they could not get computer to say yes my truck could tow another vehicle..Finally worked out after 2 hours and getting trailor cleaned off of leaves got my 2006 equinox loaded and on the road. .
