I had reserved my truck for 7:30 am got there at 7:00AM there where two people in front of me,the girl that was working was really slow and she was yawning the whole time when it was finally my time to go she ran me up told my the instructions and told me I need it to bring the truck back by 11:30AM or they were gonna charge me like 100 dollars fee so I told them that I should have my truck ready to go because I had reserved it for 7:30 and it was like 7:45 and I was still not done with the paper work the girl didn't have a good costumer service and she was yawning the whole time. Really rude it was not profecional I would never go back to this location

I think the person could have maybe given out or offered a little mor information, I had to ask questions on hooking up the car to the trailer. Not sure if I asked the right questions, but overall he was really nice.

My overall experience was great. I don't believe there's much more to improve on. Justin and Kris were very, very helpful, courteous, and service oriented. They made the rental seamless. I only wish there was a furniture dolly to rent rather than purchase one to get the job done. Very please with this experience.

I had a bad experience. I reserved a 17' truck online for a 9:00 AM pick up but Uhaul did not have it for me when I went to pick it up. They told me it will not be ready until 11 AM. I had to settle for a 14' truck. The service agent was also not friendly when I asked if I can be compensated for their mistake. She just said, "I can't give discounts." She didn't even recommend I go to their website to contact someone. I didn't even get an apology. When she gave me my truck, she just handed me the keys without saying a word. I had to stop her from walking away so I can ask about return instructions. The particular service agent I encountered was rude. Others sounded friendlier.

MY AGENT WAS THE BEST !! HE WAS TREMENDOUS HELP IN EXPLAINING THE U-HAUL RENTAL CONTRACT AND HE SUPER HELPFUL WITH THE RETURN OF THE RENTAL TRUCK. MANY THANKS---WILL ALWAYS RENT FROM HAYWARD U-HUAL.

We reserved the truck near our house in Union City, then only by confirming the night before did we find out that they did not have a truck and never bothered to call or email that we could not pick it up at that location. We had to do to Hayward to pick up the truck. We ordered a furniture dolly to be in the truck when we picked it up. We got to the apartment and it was not in the truck. When we turned the truck in on the other end in Sacramento, we got a call asking where the furniture dolly is. We told them it was never given to us at the Hayward location. Very poor organization.

I reserved a truck on 8/15 for pickup at 7 am on 8/23. At 6 pm on 8/22 I get an email notice that my truck is available for pickup at 12 pm on 8/23 at a location some 10 miles away. When arriving at that location the equipment I reserved was double-booked and not available and I was told that I could pick it up at the original location. The 6 hour delay in pick-up and location cost me as I had people counting on loading and unloading times that no-longer were available. I suppose the kicker was the truck was available at the original pick-up location some 2 hours earlier.

The customer service representative was not very helpful, seemed hurried and did not tell us about our options. *We* had to ask about queen-sized mattress bags and packing blankets. More personnel at the register would speed things up a lot more. Also, we had to go to this location because of a snafu / mixup on the on-line order. We had initially wanted to rent the full day, but instead reserved the truck only for 4 hours. Confirmation pick-up and drop-off location times on the email receipt would have been extremely helpful and not have caused such a huge delay in our moving schedules.

First, when I called I specifically told customer services I needed the truck for 2 days, she said she could book for 1 but if I needed the truck for an additional day all I needed to do was call back and say that I needed to extend. I was very upset when I was told by the representative at the actual location that if I did that, my actions would literally "throw another family under the bus and that customer services does not know what actually goes on at the location." I was asked to step aside to figure out what I wanted to do. Since I didn't want to adversely affect another family and after he had finished with the customer who stepped in front of me, I was told there was a considerably smaller truck available for the 3 days leaving me unable complete my job. I feel like I was thrown under the bus by driving to your location with misinformation and my wasted because your customer service people committed to something they could not fulfill. Secondly, the dolly I rented was left off the truck. Albeit they reimbursed the charges, but the fact is the dolly was still left off which made larger items difficult and, I was not informed that the truck I rented did not have a ramp like the one I'd initially intended to rent. I didn't want to drive back just to get the dolly and be charged for more for mileage or gas. Thirdly, the sales person who finalized my contract verbally quoted $0.89/gal. for the smaller sized truck. I was charged a higher rate of $1.29 and was told today that rate had been changed from the discontinued price 3 mos. ago and I was not pleased to hear that. The location is nicely kept, but I'd rate the overall experience with staff (both online and at the store location) as extremely not on the same page as far as informing the customer and an unsatisfactory customer service experience. I told the person who called me back today that I would be sending something stating the same.
