the whole process was quick & easy. was even able to change a future reservation in the same time. took only a few minutes both times to pick up & drop off. The floor layout makes it difficult to see the 'cashier' area. I know you have to have boxes but they are too tall and too much in the way of seeing people. Same with the display racks for the point of sale displays.

I rented a tow dolly to move my sedan. My only issue was that the info on the online reservation did not get correctly transferred to the location. The location had the wrong vehicle listed as my towing vehicle and initially they refused to rent me the equipment. My blood was starting to boil until I decided to review what they had listed as the tow/towed vehicles. IT WAS WRONG! Once we entered the correct vehicle and my blood pressure returned to normal, everything was smooth. Not so much an issue with the local office, just the whole online thing.

Acetept paypal or use pre entered card info from online reservation. Location had credit/debit card issues and couldnt take payment conviently. Also note that while low decks have pros and cons... main con being that it bottoms out very easily.

do a through inspection of the vechile (ie) take the vechile for a spin and get it up to speed to ensure no problem's and to ensure that the a.c. work's for more than just the time it take's to pull it from the lot to the front of the location for the customer

I really appreciated the attendant's offer to drive the truck into the lot to drop off the Auto Transport. It would have been more challenging of a backup job than I'd prefer.

Where do I start? So picking up the truck was a good experience. The Staff member was respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable about the contract. Where it went all wrong was when I turned in the truck at the end of the day. Here are some major issues that caused the experience to be poor and to consider Penske for all future rentals. 1. Upon arrival, the Staff member that came out to inspect the vehicle, did not start with a "Hello, how was your experience with this rental? Is there anything that was a problem....blah blah blah" Instead, the person swung open the back door, and in an unfriendly tone proceeded to tell me that I was going to be charged $25 because I had not folded the furniture pads. I asked the person where in the contract did it state they could do that and I got a blank stare, and then she pointed to a sticker inside the truck that indicated this. Now that was something of a shock, because in all the years of executing contracts, not once was I required to comply with a sign posted somewhere. This should be clearly stated in the contract, not a sticker on a vehicle somewhere. Obviously, if UHaul Corporate supports this then I would say they need to talk to their contract Attorneys, because a sign on a truck does not obligate me legally to fees not stated in a written agreement. Therefore, the staff member was totally oblivious to the T&C’s in their contract. Signs on a truck are not a contractual obligation… I did fold the pads, to prevent further escalation at the site because at this point it was of no value to discuss contractual obligations with a moron. 2. After folding the pads, I enter the office to get a copy of the final bill, and the next sentence out of the Staff member is “Did you know you did not fill the truck's gas to the proper level?” I proceeded to inform her that in my written contract, the Staff member who rented the vehicle made an exception on the amount because the actual amount of fuel in the vehicle was less than the contract indicated. I did bring back the truck with the correct amount of fuel, but this Staff member proceeded to argue that I had not complied. You can guess that at this point I am totally convinced that this store’s sole mission is to “up-charge” everything they can charge for, and not provide proper customer service. After a bit of arguing back and forth, she decided not help me any further and asked that I return the next day to deal with the manager. I left and intended on going back the next day because this person was not in a position to be a good decision maker because she was obviously lacking this skill. 3. I returned the following day, and the Manager was almost on his way home when I intercepted him in the parking lot. He indicated all had been taken care of, but to this day would you believe that not once has anyone at this facility asked how my experience with this rental truck was… Again, customer service is lacking significantly. 4. The manager, Tom, was incredible! Our car keys were inadvertently left in the locked truck when we dropped it off after hours. Tom came to the store and got our keys. He truly gave great customer service! I will always recommend this location.

I always use & recommend this location. However, this time the wait was EXTREMELY long. More representatives are needed to service customers promptly. Also, collect on the first authorization you get from the customer's financial institution! Having 2 holds for 1 rental on my checking account was very inconvenient. Insult was added to injury when I was yelled at, over-talked, lied to and then dismissed when I called to request that you release the extra, unnecessary hold on $128 of my money! Luckily, I work for a bank so I know how to handle such poor customer service. My bank released my funds immediately. I value good customer service. Overall my experience was above average until the end. One poor interaction can ruin everything. Treat your customers with respect from start to finish.

My experience was very complicated. We picked up a truck from the clemmons location and it broke down. We contacted the Emergency number and they sent a mechanic out that was awesome. Very very nice guy-while he was at the location where the truck was broke down he detemined the truck could not be repaired. While he was at the site a U-haul rep called back and explained there was a truck in High Point that we could go pick up. We were charged twice on our credit card. One charge was for the original truck and the second charge was for the truck we picked up in high point. I understand that this was a processing error and after speaking to Tristen at the U-haul regional executive office...He assured me the situation would be taken care of. The initial circumstances were not ideal nor did it meet my expectations however after dealing with Tristen I am confident and my opinion of U-haul has changed and I would use their services again.

I had to wait more than 10 minutes when returning the truck. After pulling up and no one coming out to the truck after about 4 minutes I went in and was told that someone would be out soon. It was then another 8 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me outside.

when I picked up the truck every thing went fine, was told to return it clean or would be charged but when we got it in it smelled like smoke and wasn't very clean even had french fries in floor of the cab. BUT returning the truck is where improvement could be made. When we took the truck back there was 1 lady working the front counter and at least 10 people in line, she was hurrying and doing good but she charged me for the furniture pads & dolly which I did not use & didn't mention this to me at all didn't ask me or tell me I was charged for them. So after I looked at my receipt I had to get back in line to get that corrected. Also before I threw away my paper work I was checking to make sure I didn't need any of it and seen there was a note of damage to the truck that had been repaired temporarily with duct tape and that customer acknowledge possible water damage. NONE of that was pointed out to me, I never acknowledged or agreed to that and would have been upset had there been any water damage to my personal property assuming that it was in a dry place. They definitely made sure that I was aware of that and did not even mention it.
