There should be more choice in choosing specific vehicles from the parking lot. Sude to the weather we would have preferred a van with more than 2 windows, but the keys we were given was for a van that only had 2 windows.

The gentleman who helped me was terrific--knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. So I give him an A+. However, I had ordered a 26 foot truck to be picked up on Route 9 in Brookline, just a short drive down a major road to my house. Instead, I had to navigate a huge truck down suburban streets in unfamiliar territory--a significant detour from my resonable expectations. I have little experience driving such huge trucks and this was not appropriate on many levels. The truck itself was clean, but an engine light was on when I first turned the ignition.

The location in question would have released the trailer we rented without right side directionals, running lights, and stop lights. They wanted to charge us to add a temporary light assembly. After a contentious argument they agreed to add that assembly for no additional charge. The assembly in question still did not have running lights and we were forced to drive for two hours in the dark when we returned from our 6 day trip.( we used hazard lights which were operational). All in all a very anxious trip.

Jameel was awesome... very helpful and accomodating! The inside of the truck could have been cleaner and the windshield wipers need to be changed. However, everything worked very well and we completed the task. Thank you!

I rented an 8' pickup truck for 4 days. Despite reserving online, using the weekly rate of $324 per week, when I arrived to pick up the truck I was asked to pay nearly $1400. The person working at the desk said that he had never heard of a weekly rate and I was forced to show him the listing on uhauls website before he believed me. If it wasn’t for my persistence in insisting I needed an extended rate, uhaul would have violated its own “Best Price Gaurantee” which states they will use any combination of hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly rates to get you the best price for your rental. Once I got in the truck, I found that it still had trash in it, as well as a cup of buffalo dressing concealed under the cardboard 'Rent Me' sign that was still in the front seat. This spilled during loading and resulted in a nearly unbearable smell for my 700 miles of driving. Additionally, the rear bumper was falling off, only held on by bungie cords, despite the truck having < 10k miles. About 30 miles from my starting location, I got a low tire pressure notice. After pulling into a service area, it became apparent that there was a leak in my rear driver side tire. I tried to use the jack and tools in the truck to put the spare on, only to discover that there was no tire iron in the truck, which also is needed to get the spare down in the first place. I called U-Haul roadside assistance who informed me that the truck was under warranty and they were going to have Ford send someone out. About 90 minutes later, the roadside assistance arrived. It turned out that he was contracted by Ford, not from Ford. I wish I remembered the companies name, because upon discovering that the tire iron + spare tool was missing, he said "Nothing I can do - sorry" and drove away. I called U-Haul roadside assistance again, this time ensuring that the dispatcher knew that the truck was missing key tools. They told me that they would send someone else and would call back in 15-20 minutes with an update. Nearly 45 minutes later, they called saying someone from Sullivan Tire and Auto would be out within 90 minutes. By the time the second roadside assistance truck arrived, I had been sitting in the service area for about 4 hours. He was very skilled / knowledgeable and was able to not just put the spare on, but actually put a brand new tire on the wheel so that I still had a spare in case of any other issues. 30 minutes after the representative from Sullivan Tire and Auto arrived, I was ready to finally get under way. Needless to say, I will not be renting from this location again.

I requested pads and was charged for a dozen and never received them, when I inquired after returning the vehicle I was told that I had to call the pick up location which I had called and went to in person. I then called again and was told that I would receive a call and never did. I was charged for moving pads that I never received.

It was expensive ! $72 just to pick up one piece of furniture and drop it at our house. The whole trip took less than 2 hours of borrowing the uhaul van. The staff however were very friendly, informative and helpful. I would go to this uhaul again.

The one employee on site very helpful but obviously understaffed. Your whole pricing "gimmick " is misleading and borderlines on fraud . $19.95 is an impossible amount to be charged. I intend on following up with DA's office.

There was only one person working at the Hyde Park location on Saturday morning and the line was 10 people long when I went to check out. I felt uncomfortable parking the truck because the whole froth of the Uhaul location was overcrowded. The need to better staff this location. There should at the very minimum have 2 + people working. Especially at the end of the month on a Saturday. I would not recommend this location to a friend.
