Uhaul scheduling could not move the pick up location 115 miles from the original pick up location without telling the customer. And the truck should be delivered to the city it was ordered in instead of making the customer drive 230 extra miles if it had to be done.

Was 2d in line when I got there but still waited 40 minutes. Only one person working the counter and she seemed to be doing everything. By the time I was served there were 12 people in line. I will not go back there.

When I got the truck up to 65 the whole truck started shaking. When I would go up hills the truck would spit and sputter like it had a miss in the motor. I called the day before and moved the pick up time from 8:30 to 9:30 so she moved to time for me. 8:30 the next morning they start calling me wondering why I haven't picked up the truck yet. So poor communication between employees and poor maintenance on the truck. Also she filled out the damage slip on the truck on the bback and I had to sign the front of it. When she didn't not inform me of the damage to the truck which was a big issue cause the roof leaked. She just slid it to me front side up and said sign here. That was the whole point of renting a u haul is to keep the stuff safe. Employee wasn't up front and honest with the serious damage to the truck that could've damaged my personal property. Poor service and poor maintenance trucks.

The Ellis Ave. store was great. Shay and Tony were incredible. Shay had a great attitude for a Saturday morning. She made our experience quite pleasant and made up for the terrible customer services we received at the Pearl store. The only improvement needed at the Ellis Ave. store would be for the General Manager to be more engaging rather than sitting around and not helping Shay and Tony. They are a great team and did not need the GM, but even when we spoke directly to him he seemed disinterested in our general presence in his store. Our experience at the Pearl store was frustrating and upsetting - dealing with the owner Christie and the manager Kevin was very unpleasant and I would NEVER recommend that location to anyone. I would also recommend that Brittany (the person who called to confirm my pick-up) notify the people that she is calling that the truck will not be at the store where the reservation was made, but at a different store. ESPECIALLY, when there are two locations on HWY 80.

Terrible experience. First they reserved my truck for the wrong day, second the employees were unprofessional and unknowledegable, the truck ramp was detached and thrown in the back of the truck instead of properly fastened on the pull out roller and the dolly was missing.Due to this, and not knowing it until we arrived at the destination to load our belongings, we were charged an additional $100 by our movers to compensate for the missing equipment. Even though when we spoke to the company regarding the situation and they agreed it was their fault they refused to give us a refund.

Contrary to the confirmation email I received that directed me to this location that stated "This is confirmation that the 6' x 12' Van Trailer, Appliance Dolly, Furniture Dolly, and Furniture Pads you reserved is scheduled and guaranteed to pickup at 12:00 PM on 07/05/2014 at U-HAUL STORAGE OF JACKSON, 2234 HWY 80 W, JACKSON, MS 39204. " the location was only able to deliver 2 dozen furniture pads when I had ordered 3 dozen and was only able to provide 1 furniture dolly when I had ordered 2. When I inquired about not receiving my full order I was told by the customer service represenative that the on line reservation was just a request and that I would not get all the equipment that had been confirmed and guaranteed in my on line reservation.

The manager at the store was very nice and accommodating. However, the sales clerk who checked me out was extremely rude she had an attitude with me from the minute she started waiting on me. I didn't say anything for the first few minutes but I finally told her how rude she was being with me and there was no need for it. I was nothing but nice and pleasant to her. If I ever went back to this location I would make sure she would not be the one to check me out. Very rude!

I had to put my hand out, to let cars know what I was about to do ,because the lights didn't work on your equipment. When I returned it, there was only women working that day and everything was in the way, so I had to move it. Now don't get me wrong the women did all they could do to help.

I will never use you again. Not because of the specific location but because your uhaul service sucks. We say where we want to pick up. We get an email confirmation in one place. Then you have to three locations to find where it is while your moving crew gets paid $150 an hour to stand there. Then I called your switchboard manager who argues with you. The worst customer service and an attitude to match. Then to top it off I tried to call the general manager who's phone is disconnected. Very very pis poor. Not professional at all. I will be spending my time writing reviews. Not on the specific locations as they are not to blame. But of your dispatchers and how rude they are. Your $50 refund doesn't cover the $150 I lost for movers and the $150 I spent in taxis hauling me around three places to find my uhaul. Unacceptable. The three stores I went to find the uhaul at were all unhelpful and could not speak English hardly.

Tried to charge me $20 to take off one chain for the autotransport. Then they had us move the Uhaul to take the autotransport off and navigate their extremely full/difficult parking lot.

The worst customer service I have ever received. U-Haul called me at 5:00 pm the night before my move to tell me I wouldn't have a truck. I complained and was finally offered a truck 1 hour and 30 minutes away. Myself and 6 other people had taken off work to move me. The help at this store was rude and tacky. I asked about a dolly with air inflatable tires as my builder told me the floors could be damaged with a steel wheel dolly. The man working there told me I had cheap floors or a cheap builder (these are heart of pine wood floors). Next they wanted me to pay mileage at .40 cents a mile for an extra 190 miles since I was driving double now due to them not having my truck where they told me they would have it. They did subtract the extra mileage but I was not reimbursed for the extra $75 in gas I bought driving the truck 2 ways now instead of 1 way like I reserved. I also paid for 24 furniture pads to protect some really expensive furniture. I got 200 miles away and looked in truck and they didn't include them. I did the whole move in a day and brought the truck back and they wanted me to pay a fee for dropping it where I picked it up and not where we agreed. I also wanted them to pay a fee for not having the truck where they agreed to have it. They didn't find this very funny. I did. I waited an hour for the woman to check me back in because she needed to call the other woman off work and verify that the furniture pads weren't in the truck. The service I received could not have been any worse. I wouldn't use U-Haul again if they paid me. What a disappointing experience from such a well know company. Beware!

The service was OK the first time I went but upon returning the vehicle it was a disappointment. I've called and went to the store about my deposit. I was told the manager wasn't due to be in until 2 or 3pm. Until this day I still haven't received a call from Justin, the store manager about my deposit. Next time I will strictly stick with the Uhaul on Gibraltar Dr.

The store manager was rude! When I asked a question about the availibilty of equipment and the reservation system, his response was "You're not the only customer in the world". Is this the way your representatives treat customers? If it is I will be sure to use your competitors in the future. I've never been treated with anything but respect and courtesy by Penske and Budget.
