The pick up location was terrible. This should not be a pick up location at all. The location is a dirty convenient store where employees and customers smoke in the store. I did the express check in online and still waited almost an hour and was never given a receipt, no inspection of the truck prior to me leaving. Additionally there were employees from a local business adjoining the pick up location sitting on the back of the truck, I assume taking a break. They did not have the pads I reserved , and I was sent to another location to pick them up. (NOT CONVIENT ON MOVING DAY) They did not call that location to let them know I was coming and what I needed. Once arriving at the new location Mrs Josephine got me the pads I needed and was a JOY to work with during a very frustrating moment, she is absolutely wonderful and helpful.
Once getting the pads and returning back to load the truck, I find that NONE of the dollies I reserved were on the truck. I called UHAL was transferred 3 different times and had to explain my issues each time (incredibly frustrating), only to be sent back to Mrs Josephine. I was able to get what I needed, thanks to Mrs Josephine, her naturally sweet disposition and willingness to help and resolve these issues was truly the only thing that kept me a UHAL customer that day.
Once I got the truck loaded and about an hour into the trip, the ABS light comes on in the truck, which was just another added stress that UHAL caused.
