The manager kept trying to push us to bring the truck back early. We did an in town move and did not want to rush. We tried to explain that and he kept telling us what an average move time took.

The customer service is great! I don't however like how uhaul puts a hold on checking accounts then waits to take the money a day after they are supposed to. It has put me in the negative two different times I have rented on my bank account.

The manager was a bit snarky towards my friend and me. He was even a bit rude to his employee that was assisting us. I'm assuming he's used to dealing with rude/pushy customers, but it does not give him the right to automatically start making smart comments to someone that is being polite and compliant. I would recommend this location, but I would warn whoever about the manager's brusque attitude before they get there.

We're honestly torn about today's transaction. On Monday we intentionally called the store. I was online and when trying to book the 10' truck we wanted, we noticed that the business we prefer doing business with was not on the list of pick up areas. My husband instructed me to call the store he prefers because we've had excellent customer service there. I called and asked if they would have a 10' truck available for Wednesday to use for 6 hours. The woman I spoke to asked me how many rooms we were moving (it was a local move) and I told her a 1 bedroom...roughly a studio apartment. I told her we were moving a couch, a bed, chairs and some small furniture which is why we NEEDED a 10' truck. She assured me that they would have the truck requested so we made the reservation. When we showed up this morning to make the reservation my husband was told there was no 10' truck available and he would have to take a van. I didn't budget for a VAN! I budgeted for the truck so we could make ONE trip. At 59cents per mile, I wanted to keep our expenses to a minimum so that we would have the funds to take our kids to dinner that night. The furniture we were moving was going to storage, they are moving to Minnesota. We wanted to spend a nice evening with them by treating them to dinner. The additional mileage that we incurred to make 3 trips- rather than just 1- cut into our dinner budget. Rest assured, I am not a very happy customer. I called the Uhaul store and stated my complaint and they put me right through to customer service, and customer service treated me fairly, but I'm still not pleased. The refunded money won't be here when I need it- which is now. So, would we recommend this store? We would but-- we would definitely share our experience and tell others to be extra cautious to be SURE that what they requested is what they get.

Lower prices. A guy shouldn't have to pay almost 65 bucks to rent a hual for just almost an hour to move a single peice of furniture. Maybe offer a deal for in city light moving with just a pickup for 20 dollers including the rental insurance with it so no hidden fees and dont charge extra per mile just compensate that with refueling the truck.max rental time, 2 hours

There is no parking on site, so when you pick up the vehicle you have to park your vehicle next door at the Family Dollar. Not good especially if you need to use the rental overnight. Ready did not feel comfortable leaving my vehicle there during the day!!

Have he employees trained better for the equipment. Knowledge about the equipment was not correct. I asked if the auto transport trailer had brakes and was told no. Also, the rep made me wait to hook up the trailer because she said the trailer was too heavy for he to hook up. The next attendant, a man, didn't lift anything. He used the trailer's equipment to do all of the work. I left annoyed. The trailer did its job well without any issues.

Everything was fine until I received a bill today for two extra days. I rented the trailer on Saturday, 12 Sep in Charlotte and turned it in on Sunday, 13 Sep at this location. Now I suppose I have to take my time and go back to make them correct their mistake.... Unless someone actually reads this. Mike Bowman (910) 382-9759.
