Need more than one person working! I felt terrible for the employee because the computer was having issues, the customer she was working with was being frustrating, and the line was getting longer and longer.

There can be occasional glitches when ordering as it has happened before for trailer rentals you choose all day it auto sets back to 6 hrs when rental info sent over. I was lucky enough that they didn't have it rented after me that they were willing to work with me for an all day on the trailer.

Since this was a larger trailer than I have towed in the past, some tips on trailering with such a heavy/wide load would have been reassuring. Also, letting me know my truck was rated as being able to easliy tow that size trailer and load would have eased my mind as well. I know your staff deal with these issues many times per day, but many customers are experiencing this for the first time and some basic information in addition to the written materials would go a long way in creating peace of mind.

My only complaint is when going one way you are not reimbursed the overage of gas because you don't want to stop at stations a lot of times to fill and end up over filling with no return

While the truck was clean and the staff excellent, I admit frustration that there in several issues with the truck (I've rented u-haul moving trucks quite a few times, and these are new issues for me).There was an extra dolly and moving pads in my truck Which I could" break the seal" And rent. I already rented a dolly and enough moving pads, so these extra" rent me" items were purely in my way, and in the space I needed in the truck. So wasted space. So someone needs to start informing people who rent these items a la carte May find them in the truck too and to double check that. Also the AC in the truck was awful, the fuel gauge was stupidly hard to read to get an accurate idea of fuel needed for replenishing, and the ramp was so super stubborn we almost didn't get it out. Wondering if the truck I rented needs to get put out to pasture.

Make sure you charge your customers correctly and when the bring your error to your attention listen and be respectful. I had to get charged in order to correct your error. Not happy

the satellite locations in Janesville are more convient to me. However when I use them I have to travel to get the truck I need to this lacation anyway. Could U-hal pre deliver my truck and equipment order to the satellite locations, so I can get it easier and cheaper (less $0.69 miles to buy)

The survey answers are relative to the pick-up site. Regarding U-Haul as a whole: U-Haul's last minute, <24hrs before pick-up, bait & switch on pick-up locations (yes, plural...LOCATIONS) not only cost me a precious 2 hours of moving time, but also gas with the extra hour of driving. Of that hour: - 20 minutes in our car to get the truck - 15 minutes of time waiting and doing paperwork to pick the truck up - 15 minutes with the truck and car (my 16 year old daughter was the second driver in our car, so she had to follow to get the trailer so I knew she would get home safely) - 30+ minutes of time picking the trailer up where it took way too long waiting for them to put the trailer on (the facility was disgusting....so gross, I wouldn't allow my daughter to even ask where the rest was.....that bad) - 30+ minutes with the car, truck & trailer home. This was completely unacceptable. U-Haul's consolation? 100 "free" miles, which I didn't need. Rest assured, I will never recommend U-Haul.

We requested a pick-up in Loves Park/ Machesney Park, Illinois. We had to drive to Janesville, Wisconsin to pick up the U-Haul. That added 1 1/2 hours plus gas to pick up the U-Haul. That is ridiculous. Surely there was somewhere closer or it could have been delivered to the Rockford area. We have certainly warned our family and friends about this.

We arrived at 1min to the 8pm closing time. The 2 young men were smiling, polite and professional. They unhooked the trailer and quickly got us on our way, turning what had been a miserable day (thanks to Chicago traffic & construction) into a peaceful evening. Thanks guys, great job!

I will go on line and do your survey but I wanted to reply to this email as well.  My experience was awful with you guys.  Much like an old Seinfeld episode, you guys seem to know how to take a reservation, you just don't know how to hold a reservation. I showed up to get my confirmed, guaranteed reservation right on time at Madison wi only to be told that no trailers were available.  And none were expected any time soon.  I could, however, drive to Janesville to get a trailer there.  So, I had to drive another 45 minutes each way to get a confirmed trailer in a town I don't live in.  And the $50 refund u-haul gave me maybe...maybe...just covered my additional fuel expense.  Oh yeah, I had to make special, highly inconvenient arrangements to pick up the cargo for which I needed the trailer in the first place because now my trip was delayed by driving to Janesville to get my confirmed trailer. So as I see, you got my money...didn't  live up to your promise...I had to do your job getting a trailer to Madison...and I'm out additional time and money.  Somehow this isn't my idea of good customer service.

Get a WAY better online reservatio system working because the one you have now is not adequate at all. I had no problems with the location I picked up the uhaul other than the fact it was 20 miles from my preferred pickup location and I had to go way out of my way to pick it up which caused me to lose out on loading time and get stuck with an extra day. Safe to say next time I move, I'm not using a uhaul.

There was a lot of confusion as to what time I could pick up the truck. I wanted it for 9 AM and they said I could not get it until 7 PM, so I had to reschedule my move to the following day. But then the next message I got said I could get it at 9 AM. So I got what I wanted, but it was confusing and stressful.
