Your Chamberlain location in Louisville Kentucky have terrible customer. Resorted to avoid going and cussing them out. I deal with customers every day and would speak to a customer in that fashion or tried not to help meet their needs. Used the Eastern Blvd at last minute and it was a pleasure to deal with them.

Had reserved 10' truck at Brite Salvage & Surplus in Clarksville, IN. After waiting from 10 AM to 11 AM on July 25th, it became apparent the owner was not going to open. Called several U-Haul numbers and was transferred to Regional Center. After being on hold, the call was dropped. Went to Eastern Blvd location and was told nothing was available. Fortunately, someone brought their truck back early. However, we had to return the truck versus being able to drop it off at destination as was our original plan. This ended up taking my entire day, and double the cost because Brite Salvage failed to open. Employees at Eastern Blvd location did what they could, however, I have a really poor impression of U-Haul in general.

This is twice in the past two months that I have used this location for moving. The people are nice and the equipment is fine, EXCEPT, on both occasions, I've either been overcharged due to a system error or the person behind the counter not processing the orders right. This time, it's been 4 days since the order and it still hasn't been processed right and I had two holds on my account. I will most likely be going somewhere else other than UHaul next time I have to move anything.

My overall experience with UHaul for my move was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have had in 15 years with moving. I was told, when I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance through the 800# with "Cody" that I had up until 24 hours before my move to get a larger truck if needed. I went in this location to switch truck 48 hrs before my move. "Stephanie" from traffic control called me and was extremely rude on the phone telling me it was my job to confirm my truck with the location truck. Thank God I did because that location no longer deals with UHaul. I called customer service and was told by "Paul" they were and to just double check in the morning. Good thing I called to double check because again I was told they NO LONGER did business with UHaul. I called customer service again! They switched me to traffic control where I got "stephanie" again and again was treated rudely. She persistently told me it was my fault because I switched trucks. (A company not doing business with UHaul is NOT my fault). She also then told me my truck arrived a day early and was given away and that I would receive the truck I initially requested. I explained it was not large enough. I complained to customer service where I spoke to "Shawn" who told me there was no "Paul" and no notes regarding the discount "Paul" told me I would receive for the hassle I had about trucks. Needless to say I did NOT have a large enough truck! I had to get a trailer to pull behind the truck as well as load 3 other vehicles full. AND MY COMPLAINT DOES NT STOP THERE! I made arrangements to store my household things in a climate controlled facility. On my 5 hour drive I called to verify my storage and could not get through to the facility, so I called customer service, yet again. I was told by "Janey" that she was able to send a message to the store and that one of the managers ("Joe or Dan" would call me to confirm. No call was recieved. I arrived with a 20ft truck of furniture including appliances to see I was getting a "shed size" storage(5wx10dx8h) which I was told would hold a 2-3 bedroom house! I would have needed 4-5 of those size units to hold my home furnishings. Many items that were packed needed to be in climate control. They had nothing large enough for my belongings. I had to make arrangements to go to another facility that was NOT climate controlled.

The guy who put our car on the dolly put it on crooked & He checked that we inspected the inside of back of the truck when he didn't even open it. Although the guy who waited on us was very friendly & Professional. So overall I will use Uhaul again.

Don't rent junkers. 2nd day the a/c work off and on. steering wheel is loose. The shocks are horrible. Couldn't open passenger side door from inside. Gauge light came on the 2nd day and we lost over 2 hours of moving time. We still have one load to move. I was the only driver and I was informed that there "was nothing we can do" on getting you back to the location to get my personal car. Luckily the truck gauge light didn't come on again and we were able to get my car. Well, don't rent junkers where customers can be left without a car.

I drove a pick up 50 miles and it cost me $25 in gas to refill to a level they were satisfied with I went to the station 3 times unbelievable.

I made the reservation for a van at $19.95 a day, plus mileage. I was charged one way rate of $75 a day + 271 miles. I was also charged $20 a day for insurance( because it was a new van) 2 days would be $$39.90 + $40 for insurance & then 271 x.29 = 78.91. which would have been =$158 for the rental. I was charged $214. I have rented for u haul 3 times in a week & over charged on 2. This # 92102264 & another one was # 22691109. Bith I am reporting to you. #22691109 charged me for 2 days when I didnt have the vehicle for more than 8-9 hours, on the same day.

Prepare and inspect trailer equipment prior to issue. The passenger rear was cupped. I pointed it out to the representative, but they did not replace it. 200 miles up the road it had only 8 psi (65 psi recommended on the tire). Passenger front had 32 psi. I had to call U Haul's 1-800 number for assistance. The repair man came quickly, replaced the rear and inflated the front. 1000 more miles and the front blew out. I called the 1-800 number again, stranded in the desert, and the repairman came as quick as he could, but replaced the passenger front with a radial tire. (The other tires were bias). The radial bounced the rest of the way, leading me to worry constantly and my car to ride poorly. The point: inspect and replace worn equipment! A+ for repair response, F for equipment serviceability.

This trailer was a replacement for the trailer that fell apart on the Kennedy bridge. The original trailer was rusted and should never have been rented. The people at the second rental site (the Jeffersonville site) informed us that the trailer had to be returned to them. We live in Louisville, KY. We were not going to cross the bridge again to make things easy for Uhaul. I cannot express how disgusted I am with Uhaul and their handling of this situation. When they finally called us about the horrible experience, all they wanted to do was a partial refund. Some of our boxes were damaged when the trailer fell apart - Caroline (the woman we spoke with on the phone over a week after the mess happened) was completely uninterested in our losses. She even threatened legal action when I refused to accept her partial refund. I never imagined a company like Uhaul would behave in such a manner.
