The staff was very professional...she was very fast...and polite. ..and my pick up guy was very concern that I have a good service and a truck in good condition. .but when return the truck the guy staff. .was very professional. .and very concern about my pain issues. ..it took me time to get out of the truck...He was very understandable..and very professional. ..and polite ...within seconds a got my email info.....thank you...for giving me a good service....

U haul needs Better Customer Service in the office area. People had attitudes and act like they do not see you once you arrived to the counter to say, May I help you. I felt like they did not want to do their jobs and I chose which person to walk up to. The outside guys whom check the vehicle are great. Nonetheless, improvements on customer service and better U haul rental fees for the deposit.

it took two days for me to get an email receipt i wasnt told there will be a 100 hold on my card rep told me because i still have the truck it was errors after errors and a big inconvience

Had a terrible experience here about 8 years ago. But this location has really turned it around. Fast, efficient, friendly service with a positive attitude. Could not have been happier. Chris in the yard was hustling, efficient and happy, and the man at the counter (forgot his name) was excellent and inspired confidence that the rental was prepared correctly. I would certainly rent here again.

All of the employees were extremely helpful and attentive to my needs. I asked several questions and they showed patience and professionalism. I dropped the vehicle off after hours and complied with the rules and received an email with the invoiced amount the next morning with no further questions.

When a customer is being serviced by the rep. By loading or unloading equipment from the vehicle ,and is almost done he should not walk away from the customer and say I'll be back. He should complete the task so the customer can go. I was left in this position at this location for a while. I got to the point and took care of it myself and was able to get my day going. The inside rep. Doing my paper work was awesome. Just to get a auto transporter I had went to Bayonne they had none they reserved one for me in North bergen got there was told they did not have one he sent me to jersey city where I was able to get one. To much running around for a customer. I feel the u haul should have a rep. Being able to do drop offs at u haul locations. So customers can get there day going.

The only problem at this location is wait time for rental. There is always a line and either 1 or 2 customer service reps working. I've always had to wait 30-45 minutes on line. Only downfall of this location.

I reserved a one-way 9' van at the 234 Delancy street location, in NJ, and it was accidentally given away. I understand that mistakes happen, but that mistake set my move back by several hours, and caused nothing but headaches for me after that, as a result. On top of that, I was nickle and dimed for going over my 30 mile limit by 2 miles. This horrible experience makes me think twice about using U-Haul for my next move, or recommending their services to friends and family.

I was given very poor and old truck. The truck was showing a notification light "Tow Uhaul" on the panel on steering wheel. Then I called road side assistance and they said please ignore that msg and keep on driving until it breaks down. I did not like the truck at all and was not safe to drive such an old truck. Also, the fuel was marked as 3/4 of the tank though it was less than that, then I notified it to the uhaul agent there.

First of all, my pick up location was either not entered properly or changed and I was never notified. I lost over an hour out of my moving time due to this screw up. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the woman working had a lousy attitude and was not helpful at all. All she wanted to do was give me an 800 number to call. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had as far as customer service goes. TOTAL DISGRACE!!!!!!!!! I would never recommend the Tonnelle Ave location to anyone. In fact I would tell them to stay as far away as humanly possible.

The check-in experience was unpleasant. I was told that I would get charged 50% more for giving the Manager more work, because I wanted to change from a 14 to 10 ft truck, other sarcastic and unfriendly comments were made by him. The other staff was helpful.

My name is Shannea Holmes, I rented a truck from this site on July 27-28th, 2014. I was instructed by the manager there "Steve" to return the vehicle by the end of business (which is 7 pm) on July 28th, 2014 and I would not incur any additional charges as I had rented the vehicle for 24 hours. I arrived at 6:54 pm on July 28th, 2014 and did add gas to the vehicle to the instructed amount, Steve was not there and one of his employees (an African American male) said that I could leave the keys and go, thanking me for business. Several days later (specifically on Friday August 1st, 2014) I receive an email saying that I had not returned the vehicle until 6:59 am July 29th, 2014. I honestly believe the worker did not input my vehicle as being returned on July 28th, 2014 because it was 4 minutes to closing and he may have wanted to go home, that issue is not my concern. Due to the lack of "due diligence" I am to assume an additional day's rental charge? This is in very poor taste, i hope that this matter can be resolved amicably.
