I reserved a 20' ft trailer before the 8th of the October from the Uhaul on Williams. I went in the store to verify that the everthing was still fine on the 15 th and made a purchase on Williams. I was told that everything would be fine for the 19th. I received a call from Deanna about from the Marietta location stating that I will have to go to there location and pick up a 26' because the Williams location didn't have one available for that day. I reserve a 20' and have conformation. Then I was told that I would be compensated for the fuel because I was driving a 26' truck instead of a 20' truck. The representative at the counter didn't know anything about it and couldn't reach Deanna. I was sent to Baton Rouge Uhaul on Millerviller at ACE Hardware and they couldn't accept and truck that size so I had to go to another Uhaul that would accept it. This has been a bad experience for me regarding Uhaul.

I was told that a 17' would fit a 3 bedroom house. Upon arrival at the store it was clearly marked on the advertisement boards that a 17' was for a 2 bedroom home. When I told the manager the issue he advised me that he, nor anyone at that location, did not book it and that "corporate" was at fault. I was not given any type of discount rate on the truck and there was not a larger truck available at any location for that day. Instead I had to borrow an additional truck and trailer to move my items. The entire experience was very unprofessional. Apparently, the reason for me being told that the 17' would move a 3 bedroom house was do to recent thefts from the Uhaul trucks. When it is time to move into my new house I highly doubt I will rent from Uhaul again. I was mislead into purchasing what was available, instead of what I really needed.

The above marks apply to the person running the place on Monday night (Sept 22)....& Tuesday morning (NOT THE MANAGER)The location had just closed and he was standing on the other side of the locked door....rather than answer my questions when returning the truck....he just pointed to the slot in door where you deposit the key when the business was not attended. Again, I understand that it was after hours....but common sense and GOOD customer service would dictate you HELP the customer. When I received my final paper work via email....and additional $25 was charged to my card with NO explanation. I had to go through your customer service to find out why...I couldn't even get the local establishment on the phone. They were baffled by the additional charge as well. They had the local employee contact me where he abruptly let me know it was because I did not fold the 6 blankets I rented. He also in a condescending voice let me know that it was policy...it was posted in the back of the truck. Well, first of all that was the first I ever heard of that policy....I rent the truck for doing something LABOR oriented not pleasure, so I spend as little time in the truck as possible. Second. not sure what they should be folded in the first place....I would hope ALL blankets are washed before repackaging them to rent to someone else....so why bother folding them???? SHAME on your company if those blankets do NOT get washed....with the health issues we face this day and age...that would be a NO brainer. Third, take a look at my bill so far, haven't I spent ENOUGH....why try to get $25 more bucks out of me. Finally.....what ever happened to Customer service?????......employees at 2828 Marietta St Kenner, LA obviously doesn't know about it. THANK GOODNESS for the Manager there....after being notified from your customer service center....she promptly refunded my money.

We were told to fill the gas tank half full when we returned it. When we left we noticed the gas tank was only 3/8 full. We should have been told to fill it back to 3/8 not half. Very disappointed.

The ladies working at this location provided great customer service, were curtious and professional. I picked up my 17 feet truck without any problems. However, when I went back the following afternoon for my trailer the man running the front was terribly rude, confrontational and very abrupt and unprofessional. For him to help was the last thing he wanted to do.

The truck was clean but was very old, had 195 thousand miles on it. The inside of the cab rattles so much you think it's going to fall apart. A/C worked but the radio didn't. Time for a new truck.

Disappointed that you now charge miles. I had a cargo van from noon one day to 5pm or so the next day and it was $91. Most of that was the mileage and I stayed in town, didn't go that far.

In order to improve the U-Haul experience, personnel need to adhere to the customer needs in a more professional way. For instance if a customer has reserve storage, and have driven for over six hours, and have paid in advance, the last thing the employee should say to the customer is that "if you do not unload your contents off the truck today, you will not have any storage". This particular U-Haul personnel said those very words to me, if persistence was not prevalent on my behalf, I think I would not have storage. The manager stated "this is our policy".
