Although I did not request this location to return my rental I received phone updates stating that I was supposed to drop off truck at 1812 W. J Street Lancaster where I had picked when I made the initial order online. When I got to this location I was told that it no longer was a U-Haul pickup/drop-off point. When I called the 877# given to me by lady who left voice message stating I was to take it to that location I was told by the 877 lady that I should drop it off at the Sierra Hwy location. Overall this has been the worst experience I have had using U-Haul. I have used U-Haul many times previously but again between the pickup delays and the drop-off mis-directions I was very disappointed.

Truck wasnt clean and ready when Icame to pick up, so I had to wait. They said a walk-through was not necessary because i was getting the insurance. They did NOT disclose any potential $150 charge for damage otherwise I would have insisted on walk-through. They charged me that $150. I called this morning to see what for and the call was forwarded to cust. service. They said the mgr. (Matt, i believe) would call me back, but never did. If the charge is for minor "dents on tailgate", how do I know they weren't previously there since i was advised not to walk the truck during pick up? Very disappointed and will only use united rentals if this is how I am going to be treated.

While the equipment selection was ok, the wait time to pick up and check in equipment seems excessive. I addtionally had to repair my rental-luckily a loose battery cable-I did not have time to wait for roadside service. Good thing I was able to troubleshoot the problem.

Overall really good experience. Matt at the front desk was very professional and was very thorough regarding the truck rental process. Overall very satisfied and I'd definitely use Uhaul again in the future.

This rental worked out fine I reserved a Nother truck in Chatsworth California for the same day and it was not available even making reservations very disappointed lost me a lot of money on a job I could've completed. Actually got offered within a three day. Different deals and got the worst. Not happy about this considering enterprise or Ryder truck rentals. :(

When I went to pickup my truck they informed me that my reservation was for the 8th when I clearly asked for the 7th also the attendant who was helping us wasn't very friendly disappointed in the overall service as I have previously used u guys before

Was originally given a different drop off location. Requested 24 hour drop off. On arrival, location gates were all padlocked. Called and requested new location, dropped off there. Received email bill this morning, falsely stated that fuel tank was returned empty. Filled up to same level as pickup at a station only a few miles away from drop off, can document gas station charge. Complained this morning and was told I would be contacted by a customer support person as soon as possible. Still no contact. Livid over the entire experience.

I was told that the more miles I drove I would receive a bigger discount, however, that did not happen. I ended up spending $3 plus more. Stay true to your word.

The ash tray was dirty. More importantly, the turn signals and air conditioning were not reliable. Try driving a U-Haul truck and car trailer through Los Angeles traffic at rush hour under those conditions. Also, when I called the "local" U-Haul telephone number, I was directed to a national operator who said the local dealer would call me back. The local dealer either did not get the message or failed to call. More disappointing and frustrating was the fact that U-Haul 's "local" number directed me to a national operator. Pick up the telephone and answer your own telephone calls.

I had reserved a 17 foot truck over a week in advance and was only able to get a 14 foot truck. This issue alone will cost me 2 additional trips to move my items to Lake Havasu City in my car. This is additional costly for gas and time to get all my belongings moved to a different state which is highly costly for me. What is the point of reserving a particular truck if they do not have it when you need it? Especially when I talked to someone to confirm the truck needed in the beginning of the week, prior to my move. I was only informed of the lack of the truck requested a day before my move and this did not allow me to go somewhere else to get a truck that I needed because they were all reserved by the time I got notice that the truck I NEEDED would not be available. So NO I will not recommend this business for anything!!! It is issues like this that has assisted me in the decision to move from Lancaster, CA to Lake Havasu City, AZ. The attitudes were basically to bad so sad and because of it I will have to fork out over an additional $100 for gas alone to move. Being I am a disabled person and on a fixed income this is nothing but a new burden for me financially. There was not attempt from the staff to give me any credits for the additional costs this has caused me and they seemed not to care about me as a paying customer. What happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE at this business. I should have paid the additional cost of $30 and gotten a Penske truck instead of a Uhaul.

Lower the mpg or charge a flat rate and after u pass the flat rate then charge 99cents a mile..
