I wasn't quite clear, when being charged on my credit card, what the separate payments were for. It would have helped to have a bit better heads-up on what was going to happen, and the sequence of payment better explained. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

U-Haul company should allow refund of unused blanket in the plastic bag as customers were not able to precisely forecast the qty needed for moving. Current policy only allows local rental to refund unused blankets. Another approach is to return unused blankets to the pick up place to revise the actual rental qty.

Overall, experience was good. I didn't realize that filling up the gas tank was part of the rental. I thought that was covered with mileage. Sales rep could have outlined all possible fees up front. I didn't know until I was already on the credit card machine.

Lets start with our telephone call to Chrisy that reserved our truck over the telephone, she was good. In order to give her an excellent, she should have spelled the word Massachusetts for us. Sorry. Next, let me coment on your physical facility conditions, please pay attention. Not only the outside, but the inside was dirty. A good vacumming (inside) and sweeping (outside) is all that is needed. Seriously, you need to hire a cleaning crew to do this work the first thing, every a.m. Yes, even on weekends. In regards to check in: 1) the gentleman that brought our truck around and helped us understand the digs and rubs and gasoline level was excellent. No time was wasted here. And, you know us, always in a hurry. 2) the gentleman that checked us in was efficient and had the best humor. He was most helpful with all the explainations of our questions in regards to your contract and insurance. I would give him an excellent also. In regards to the check out: 3) The gentleman who checked us out realized how backed up the other man was outside, so he went out and checked our truck and the gasoline level with that portable hand held computer. He was most efficient and very nice with all these tasks, that he gets gets an excellent also. I would give all three of the men that handled our truck rental transaction, a W.O.W. award. W=Worthwhile, O=Outstanding, W=Work. I am sure you will agree. 4) Oh, I originally called your 1-800-Uhaul number and the gentlemen there was the best. We originally needed the Kenwood Market, intersection of Interstate 94 and Campo, in Spring Valley, California. This guy was on the phone with me for almost 30-minutes trying to find this location for us, and I sure appreciated he patience and finding this location. 5) Unfortuantely, the Kenwood Market UHaul did not have a Cargo Van (already out), and did not carry your pick up trucks, so he gave us the Massachusetts Avenue telephone number. Will you please be so kind and make sure both of these gentlemen in 4 and 5 above get recognition. Last but not least, the automation of UHaul is very good. Happy to see that you had us in your system already from our previous rental earlier this year, and that UHaul is using those hand helds. Thank you for asking. Suggestion=If you have these catagories above, you might get more input from people who do not take the time to give you through input, like me.

The store needs air condition it was very uncomfortable for customers! The employees did their best to blow fans but it was still uncomfortable. I felt sorry for them having to work in there.

We called the 800 # and reserved went to location they told us to go and no trailer there. They sent us to lemon grove, front desk needs more costumer service skills. We filled out forms online which was a waste of time! Had to re do it at location

I made certain that I returned my rental with the required amount of gas and I was still charged for gas after I turned in the rental? I don't know what the discrepancy was? How can we better know what amount of gas to put in before we turn in the rental?

Jeff tried to sell me items i didn't need, not very helpful in answering questions. not very customer oriented, did not go above and beyond with customer service. acted as though he was doing us a favor after i just spent $725 to rent a trailer.

I made a reservation on the phone and when I got to the location, the owner/manager (a tall overweight Caucasian man) told me that he could not find my reservation - that it was not on the system. I gave him my name, phone number and email and he still couldn't find it. I called the number where I made the reservation and spoke to a gentleman on the phone and he told me that my reservation was there and he verified it. As I was talking to the gentleman on the phone, the man at the location walked away from me and started to help someone else. The man on the phone asked me to hand the phone to the person assisting me. I did and he listened for a while and put the phone down. I picked up the phone and the guy on the phone told me that he was still talking to the man assisting me. I explained to the man on the phone that he set the phone down and I thought conversation was over. He asked to speak to the man again. They spoke and then the man assisting me in person found my reservation. Very poor customer service from the so-called owner/manager. Sad.
