Please teach your reps to interact with customers who try to wait patiently in line. When it's hectic, just say something like, "I'll be with you folks in a moment. Sorry for your wait." or something reassuring. Don't just ignore their agony and put on blinders. Place a seating area in there for people with pain issues. Or better yet, use a numbering system, especially on Fridays. This can allow for seating and people being called in the proper order. Clean up the check-in area and stop trying to sell so much STUFF. Place your customers' comfort first then add around all the stuff. Visited Friday, March 27, 2015, and waited patiently for my turn. I overlooked standing around 30 minutes in line. I overlooked the rep who was assisting a man with issues allowing the man to go to his car for several minutes, yet never saying to customers in line that Uhaul was sorry for our inconvenience (some kind of computer glitch). I overlooked on of the guys on the floor going to the people BEHIND me and assisting them first. Then when it was my time to be waited on, I wasn't called up there. So I went up myself. The rep was continually distracted by another rep who didn't know what she was doing on the computer/register. Then he takes a phone call and tells the caller that he's waiting on a customer in line. Then he listens to the customer and says, "okay, let me take care of you". That did it! I shouted, "No. I'm next!" Good grief!! After that, the rep was more attentive and very nice. Checking back in wasn't as bad. We were met at the vehicle and didn't have to go back into the hell hole. There needs to be more people working there (up front) or something. Maybe I just came on a bad day and it USUALLY runs more smoothly. But my God, better something is needed. I'd rather pull out my front and back teeth than go through another Uhaul experience anytime soon.

I did not like the pads and dolly being attached to the truck that I rented. I paid for space and you took up needed space with u wanting to make more money. I would have rented them if I needed them, but couldn't remove them or I would be charged. They shouldn't be in the trucks if we say no. If I ever use u again, I will demand the sales pitch, be removed be we take the truck off the lot.

Your reservation and record system is even a hindrance to your own dealers. Dealers on both ends had trouble with your technology. It wasted my time.

When we picked up the truck it was very wet inside. Were told it was water resistant - not water proof. Loaded it with our antiques to take to a show and it rained that night. Luckily most items were in plastic containers with lids. However, had to dry out three wooden chairs and there was over two inches of water in the bottom of an antique galvanized wash tub. That's more water than should have been there for even water resistant. Took truck to venue and began having problems with ignition. Very hard to turn and start. Had to call service on Sunday morning to ensure we could start it that evening and move out items from the show. They did respond but told us the ignition would need to be replaced. Agents at rental location were very good about handling the situation but we should never had a truck like that released to us.

The people in the store are horrible and rude to black customers, mostly women! Mold destroyed furniture! A higher amount charged on credit card than told!

I rent u-haul trucks aLOT. For one day, to months at a time. Angela at the 12th st. Little Rick location is my very favorite. She's been there forever, and that familiarity means alot. But I'm only singling her out because she's the one I'm most familiar with, and she ALWAYS has the answer to whatever anyone has a question about. But ALL the employees are WONDERFUL. I use many kinds of nationally recognised businesses, from fed-ex, to retailers, to rental cars- and the people at U-haul are some of the finest people to do business with, period. It's like a neighborhood market in a small town over there. And I love it. Customer service is difficult in this day an age, with such a distance between the CEO and the actual faces of the day to day people doing the work. But that particular UHaul feels like everyone there has a stake in the business and actually cares. They are great.

The car transport was covered in snow and ice and had to be cleaned off in order to be used. Also, one tire on the trailer was sabitoged and roadside assistance was very slow to respond. Not a very positive experience at all.

You need to change the answers for the equipment question. The truck did what I needed it too. was it "clean" yes did it look like something I'd want my name on NO! I bet Sat and Sun are the two biggest days you have and yet it was understaffed by at least two if not 3 people. Overall I'm happy but it could have been better.

Be careful to ensure your employees know how to properly secure a vehicle to a transporter. My Jeep's front tires were not properly secured. I lost 2 hours travel time looking for a U-Haul center in Fayetteville, AR to fix the problem when both straps came loose.

The manager was rude and tried to charge me for an extra day. She also didn't or wouldn't address my concerns about the other charges instead she made patronizing and demeaning comments. Awful experience.
