The manager never asked if I wanted the added insurance on the truck, so I was charged an extra $14 for something I didn't need or want. I have rented a truck from this location 3 times in the past year. They have always asked if you want the insurance but this time. I have rented trucks from other locations numerous times and the same thing the always ask if you want the insurance on the truck. When I question it after I seen it once I got back the employee said there was nothing he could do since it was his manager that did the order. I know from experience there is always something you can do. This by far is the worst experience I have Ever had with uhaul or any other truck rental company I've dealt with. I will never be using this location again, and strongly recommend people use other locations and/or make sure you double and triple check and then check again all paperwork with this location.

I picked up the rental on Sunday morning, having already filled out the Express Checkout data beforehand. I was at the location before opening time. By the time the doors opened I was third in line to pick up my rental, and I still had to wait approximately 30 minutes to get out of the door to hook up. By that time there were 7 more customers in line behind me. There was a single staff member helping customers on what I would assume is one of the busiest days of the week. When we asked what the other agent was doing we were told he was cleaning vehicles. It seems like more staff needs to be hired, or they need to come in earlier to take care of tasks like vehicle cleaning before opening the doors to customers!

Please inform sales that trailers 5X9 are charged $19 at landfill most times and 5X12 are charged $49 all the time. You do want repeat customers don't you?

the manager was dishonest and overcharged me. The truck was very old and the fuel gauge shows a very different level depending if the truck is pointed uphill or downhill. When I insisted that he orient it the same direction, he did and the gauge showed more gas, but he sill charged me even though I brought it back after gasing it to the same level. This was fraudulent but the manager would not budge and I was overcharged. This is dishonest and I will never do business there again. I expect to be contacted about this experience or I will contact BBB and the chamber of commerce.

Dealing with the call center was confusing and inefficient. Poor customer service re reservation. And follow up call did not provide change in pick up location. Lodi staff was very helpful.

I wouldn't have had to go to Lodi if Arco stockton would have had the truck there. What would have been nice is if someone one from Lodi drove the truck to where I was. It was an awful experience. I wanted to pick up truck n the morning and at the site I wanted not in the heat of the afternoon at Arco stockton let alone be told to drive to Lodi. No calls from uhaul confirming reservations. Uhaul used to be better and on top and accommodating it was a bad experience. The best part was dropping the truck off.

The manager, Connor, was rude in his manner and speech. The prices in store were different than the prices quoted online even though I brought in the printed receipt from the online payment they still charged it differently. However, a newer sales person, Victor, was polite and tried to be helpful. If I ever needed another U Haul I would get it from a different location.

We did not get the size vehicle requested or confirmed nor did we get the $50 reservation guarantee credit for the error so we had to make two trips to move which caused us to go over our mileage so we had to pay an extra $65! And there was a light hanging off the truck.

i really disliked the fact that every time i called the lodi uhaul, i got the call center. which wouldnt have been that bad except the lack of communication between tge actual office n the call center

Checked in outside then given a slip to go inside to finish the transaction (for which I had already paid in full) one rep was with a customer and another (female) was sitting there doing nothing. She asked what I needed when I walked up and when I said check in she asked the other rep how long he would be and when he said he had just started she said someone would be right there to help me and got up and walked away. Then after standing around for about 10 minutes the guy who checked me in passed through the lobby and saw me standing there and attempted to finish everything up. Problem was he did not know how to do anything in the computer so he had to be walked through by the other rep working with a customer. Return took WAY too long and the female staff member was extremely rude. I also mentioned the problems with the truck and they did nothing and didn't even offer to do anything.

Customer Complaint - General Manager Anthony Cornett – Disregard for Customer Safety On July 18, 2014 I had a U-Haul Motorcycle Trailer which was suffering from an apparent wheel bearing failure. The Hub of the trailer excreted black material and the wheel assembly was physically loose on the axle. While towing the trailer it started to hop and shake. I exited the freeway to contact U haul roadside assistance. My search indicated I was only six mile from the U-Haul Moving and Storage of Lodi at 450 North Cherokee Ln, Lodi CA 95240. I decided it was safer to move the trailer with the motorcycle this location, knowing it was a surface street drive and could be done at very slow speeds. Upon enter the store I was instructed to call the road side assistance toll free number. At the time there was only one customer in the store in besides me. Jodi a store employee stated she was unable to help me and the road side assistance rep. The road side assistance rep repeatedly tried to call the store only to have the calls forwarded to the U-Haul HQ number. This was odd as there were several employees in the store and none that were not free to answer the phone. The poor customer skill and lack of management made this location a customer nightmare for just about all the customers I seen in the store during my estimated two plus hour ordeal. They assisted every customer during this period before assisting me. It was only when there were no more customers my issue was finally addressed. I repeated tried to engage the General Manger Anthony Cornett to assist me. I even had to use my cell phone on speaker raising a ruckus as Mr. Cornett ignored me to gladly help another customer, to have him talk to the Road side assistance team. The most disturbing moment that went beyond poor customer service when Mr. Cornett stated to me that only had a large trailer for me to use, which due to the design and height of the wheel chuck would damage my motorcycle fender if loaded properly to the front. Mr. Cornett responded “oh well that all I can do”. He even suggested I continue in the failing trailer to see if it would make it to Sacramento. Because he was unwilling to address a safety issue with the two trailers he had at his location that were not reserved or pending use, simple because those trailers were for local use and return to the same location only. When I asked him if he understood the liability and risk he was putting himself and U-Haul at for suggesting I continue with failing equipment he state “It is not my issue and I have no Liability in this situation”. My Safety and the safety of other was willfully and with neglect discarded by Mr. Anthony Cornett. This is where it went for a ridiculously horrible customer experience to inexcusable reckless act by Mr. Cornett while representing U-Haul Corporation as a General Manager. I strongly recommend that the Calls I made be reviewed along with the security footage which over whelming demon

After filling the tank with 40.00 worth of gas, the check engine light came on. Notified them and they suggested I check all the fluids. Determined the oil was one quart low, purchased oil. Check engine light stayed on. They suggested it was OK to drive the vehicle which was full loaded with furniture and watch the gauges. This should have been done in Lodi. It was a one way trip to San Jose.
