Gas is too expensive. Should be given full tank on the trucks please. Every some miles we had to spend $40-$50 dollars. Too much.

I appreciated that they opened right on time at 7 AM, even on a Saturday. The staff was very helpful and efficient at pickup and return. My wife found some packing materials to buy that had been hard to find elsewhewre, so they were well stocked.

I think accident/damage insurance should automatically be included in the fees in the rental agreement. And not left for the customer to decide. Because one never knows when an incident/accident will occur, therefore the customer is not faced with additional unexpected charges. As this time of relocating is already a strain on your finances. Which can make the experience with U-haul very distressful and poor.

So far I've used U-haul three times recently and I've been treated with respectful and professional employees thus far. well, my Van was not availble when I arrived, however the staff was professional and directed me to another vehicle. as I was preparing to leave they notified me that the van had just arrived and if I would prefer the van after all...and I took the van. The employees were rude, not helpful. The truck was reserved for 9:00 a.m. When I arrived, the truck was not clean - I had to wait until the back and the cabin were swept. I'm glad I don't have to move often to have to deal with these employees!!!!!

When I arranged for the UBox service I chose the Moving Help delivery option that included having the UBox delivered and returned to my home from the location. I then selected Moving Helpers at my origin (Oakland) and destination (Los Angeles.) In Oakland things worked very smoothly--the moving helpers contacted the location, arranged to pick up the box and come with it to my home to load. I was not charged extra and did not have to deal with the UHaul location at all. The cost of having the helpers pick up the box was included in my moving help cost (ie. 2 guys for 2 hours, they were able to pick up, load, and then return box within 2 hours) In Los Angeles, however, the moving helpers apparently did not know anything about arranging pickup of the box. There was confusion about who was supposed to pay. After the first movers messed things up so bad I lost my window of time using the service elevator in my high rise building, I booked new moving helpers for the next day. They charged me an extra $100 for picking up the box--even though I was paying them a minimum 2 hours for a 1 hour unloading job. To make matters much worse, I was completely unable to call in to the UHaul office because the phone was forwarded to the regional care center. This was very unsatisfactory as I was trying to confirm that the fired moving help had not retained possession of the box (the care center showed in the record that the UHaul office no longer had possession) nor was I able to schedule for a later time or sort out why I was now being charged for trailers.
