I had one major issue. The mileage (42) I was given wasn't enough to make the trip from Uhaul in Lowell to my current apt (to load the truck), then to my new apartment (after loading), then to U-Haul in Stoughton (to drop off the truck). I made no detours in the truck whatsoever, and still went over by 17 miles.

The service person was horrible. I reserved a truck online a week in advance, waited over and hour and thirty minutes in line. And was handed the keys and told " good luck finding the truck" and had to search for the truck alone. I then could not physically leave the lot because another truck was blocking the entrance. The sales person cleaned it before she moved it for me. That took another 10 minutes. All while my ride and our combined four kids waited in another car.

Thr truck wouldn't start after I unloaded it. The battery died. People were helpful, but I ended up waiting 2.5hours for a jump.

Truck has some idling issues, was not smooth. Both side mirrors need to be tightened, they do not stay where you set them-vibrations from normal driving move them.

I got jiped. They told me 40 then when I went to pay it was 70, they charged a credit card that was said specifically not to be charged. I will never use it again and all of my friends and family who are moving I will tell th to stay away from U Haul. Terrible service.

If all customers get treated like I did there is no room for improvement. I dealt with 2 gentlemen. The one just helped with a few minor things like ensuring lights all worked and Joshua Laduke was the main person doing all the paper work, hook up etc. VERY nice polite person & very knowledgeable.

Actually have the equipment you rent and improve your computer system or user training so it doesnt take an hour to produce a contract. Waiting for service the last two times I was there for a Auto transport rental was painful. I understand you do not have complete control over when something is returned but you should know what is on your lot. Constantly people had to go explore the lot looking to see if what was in the computer was actually in inventory and more than once came back with pieces missing that should have been there and with ones that were there and they had no record of where it came from or how to transfer it into their inventory to rent it out.

The store layout is confusing for locating the service counter. There are stacks of boxes at the store entrance, blocking a siteline to the counter. There are also kiosks of retail items abutting the counter that block access to and view of the service personnel.

I'm happy with my experience. Might it be possible to better predict truck availability? In placing the order (with Welch Welding) on a Friday , for Saturday a week later, I was told that the pickup could be Saturday morning at 8:00. On the following Wednesday the time was changed to 5 PM. As it turned out, 5 PM let me finish packing, and was better for me. But might you be able to better predict availability?

Have the equipment that the person reserved weeks prior available and have the person behind the desk not yell at the customer because she's crying because there is no truck for her even though she paid and reserved. I was disgusted with what happened on this day and if I didn't have more than half of my furniture in a driveway and 10 people there waiting for me I would have walked out. I deserve a full refend as I didn't get what I needed and as a single mother had to take a small truck with a trailor attached to physically haul and change myself! Ridiculous. Never again.
