Make sure before a uhaul is reserved that you actually have what the customer wants to reserve available in the location they choose. Had to drive Lubbock to pick up the uhaul and drive it back to Amarillo to load our things and turn around and drive back to Lubbock. Absolutely ridiculous, especially since I reserved one in Amarillo and there are 4 locations! Wasted my time and money and made things far more difficult than necessary. I will not be using uhaul again after this terrible experience. The gentlemen at the uhaul store, were however, amazing and I don't blame them in the slightest bit! Fix your reservation system!!!!

I will never use Uhaul again and I have already informed several of my friends never to use Uhaul because of how we were treated at the Uhaul in Lubbock. I reserved a storage unit and truck rental in March and the move out date was set for May. The manager, Larry, was the one who made the reservation for us. We informed him that we would be moving my furniture from a Lubbock address to the Uhaul storage unit and we were told that our first month would be free because we were renting the truck. When my boyfriend and I came to pick up the truck in May, the employee who was helping us told us that we wouldn't be able to get the first month free because we were not moving from a different city. They also told us that I had to buy a specific lock (Uhaul round locks) and that I had to have storage insurance in order to store things at Uhaul. I was not informed about having to buy the specific round locks and I also wasn't told about having to have insurance to store things at Uhaul until that day. The employees told us that the insurance requirement was a new legislation that was passed recently, but I still should have been notified by email about this requirement. I was annoyed that I wasn't informed about all of this until that day that I was moving and I was in a rush to leave because I had a graduation to attend in the evening that day. The time it took to check-in took over 30 minutes and we informed the employees that we wanted to speak to the manager. It took them 15 minutes to find the manager and when we finally talked to him, he told us that he would "give" us the first month of rental storage free because he had made a mistake about the special that was going on at the time that we had reserved. We asked that we be given a dolly free of charge to help us move the furniture because of the inconvenience they had caused us and he informed us that he didn't think they inconvenienced us in any way. He also stated that we already were going to receive one month's free rent as a concession, but that was not a concession. It was part of the agreement that we had in March and a huge reason why we chose to use Uhaul as the place to store my furniture. After the manager left, we were later told that our unit was a split level unit. Back in March, my boyfriend and I made it clear that we wanted a bottom floor unit because we would be moving a washer and dryer. Since there were no elevators at this specific Uhaul location, we didn't want to be hauling a washer and dryer up a flight of stairs. The split unit was on the second level and that was a huge inconvenience to us. The manager misled us on two things: the discount (one month free rent on the storage unit) and the fact that we would get a bottom level split unit. I was so infuriated with the way he treated us, and the whole ordeal took over an hour. I missed my cousin's graduation and wasted over an hour of my time trying to figure out why we were not getting what we were told in March. The way tha

I reserved this rental for pickup in Plainview, TX. After 3 rescheduling calls, I finally had to drive over 2 hours to pick up the trailer in Lubbock, TX. A great improvement would be to pick up the equipment where it was originally reserved, and to not get several calls with excuses on why I had to drive two hours out of my way with no compensation from your company.

Test the trailers before renting out. Our initial trailer kept blowing the fuse. We found that there was a short and had to get another trailer. Speeds up the pickup time.

We were helped by a kid named Tyler. He was VERY helpful. He had a really great attitude and helped us troubleshoot a blown fuse on our tow vehicle. Just a great attitude and exceptional customer service. There are many places I can rent equipment for moving and much closer to where I live. But I will definitely come back to this store after the service I received. Pat that kid on the back. He’s a good one.

There was quite a line and only 1 person to work the desk...so we had to wait....We could not get the size truck that we needed....there were some smaller ones on the lot that they refused to rent...did not state that they were reserved...they rented us an old truck....that was suppose to be full...but after 47 miles that we drove this truck....it held 11 gallons of gas...When we took the truck back, the young man assured us that the manager would refund part of our gas money,,,he stated that the truck should have got at least 8 miles to the gallon..we got 4.2...I was assured that the manager would call me back when he got off lunch...I waited 2 hours and finally called to talk with the manager...he stated that he had no clue....and started to argue with me about the miles per gallon....when I told him what his help stated he stated that he would debt half of the gas filled back to my debt card...So my advice to you if you go here...watch every penny that you are charged....our tank of gas was suppose to be full and showed full...that I doubt.....
