This was my second time of having to use a U-Haul vehicle and thought it would be smoother than the other experience I had just been thru a couple of weeks ago, that was an unsafe vehicle and in extreme dis-repair. This time was yet again a NIGHTMARE! A few days before I needed the vehicle, the 10' truck I saw one sitting outside the Liberty Market in Lynchburg, VA 24502 on Wednesday, 8 April 2015. I went into the market and discussed with the man at the counter about the rental of it. He said it was available for the Saturday morning I needed it, 11 Apr 2015. I RESERVED this vehicle and was told I could pick it up THERE at Liberty Market, on Saturday morning at 0700 hrs. I even had a confirmation email on 9 Apr, 2015, which I have here in hand, that said vehicle would be there. I have to explain that I was able to get said email of this confirmation from my work computer on 9 April, 2015 as I am in the process of moving and have no other means to get email until my move is done with. I showed up at Liberty Market, Saturday morning, 11 April, 2015 @ 0650 hrs and waited on the young man to show up. But as I am looking at the parking lot I do NOT see the vehicle in question that I had reserved anywhere on the lot. While I am waiting for the guy to show up I call the number on my paperwork for U-Haul. A woman answers the phone and tells me my truck has to be picked up at another location, DOWNTOWN Lynchburg at 1760 Park Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24501. I told her that is impossible as I am on a tight schedule to pick things up at my ex-wife’s house and can’t be delayed as she is waiting on me to get my belongings, plus my brother is with me from out of town to help and I am using his time too. She said I should have gotten an email about this and I said I didn’t since I don’t have a COMPUTER to get one. WHY COULDN’T SOMEONE CALL ME????? I have a phone, gave my phone number when I reserved the truck and it seemed to be the most logical thing to do. She told me that apparently the person who had rented my truck had decided to drop it off at their location and not the Liberty Market where he rented it from. She said there was nothing she could do about it. Then the young man finally shows up at 0720 hrs, proceeds to go about turning on lights and getting ready for work. I approached him about my vehicle and was snapped at with a “Hey I will get to you in a minute I am trying to wake up here” So I stood there waiting for him to finish not saying anything else. Another gentleman comes into the store to buy a couple of cigarettes, not a pack, but a couple. He waits on this guy and then says he was waiting on the computer to warm up. Finally gets into the computer and says your vehicle is not here. I look at him and wanted to say something but refrained and tried to explain this whole situation again. He said what is the problem just go down there and pick it up which I tried to explained with downtown Lynchburg all torn up and detours I would not be able

Quwana Woods and her team are outstanding in customer service. They redeemed my U-Haul experience. I was delayed with pick up in Fort Collins with truck repair and car dolly problems before and during my travels. I was so stressed and upset at drop off but the Lynchburg team was very supportive.

This was a very stressful experience! First the girl that called to verify where I was picking it up was very rude and demanded I give her an exact time. She said she would text me a confirmation, she did not. I wanted some leway with the pick up time and she insisted on the precise hour or said I may loose the trailer. Like I said very rude. The place was located in a very inconvenient for me, I was not given any options of where to pick one up and to top it off, I was called to come and get it a half hour early because the man at the location said he was closing up and I needed to get there! I hurried there and it took 20 min of him on the phone with your customer service line to figure out my contract! Finally got that done and the only trailer my size was not fit for travel back to to my home a 800 miles away!!! Broken lights in back and turn signals broken. Like I said it was the only one on the lot. He had to call customer service line again and that was almost a half hour before it was straight and I was given another location for pick up another trailer which was closer to my son's home. I was VERY upset and stressed out by the time I got the trailer! This was a horrible experience and I should get the $54 insurance I bought back due to all of the inconvenience! If it wasn't for the person I was with who checked the lights I would have been in a very seriously dangerous position.

I would recommend with caution, The express check-in guy tried to overcharge me by abiut $50. luckily i knew an extra 13 miles above the estimate wasn't an extra $50. We went inside and the manager straightened it out. Always something with you guys.

The agent who assisted me did not know how to do a tax exempt customer, then I was charged $105.00 on my debit card which she had me run through the system 2x and then told me that it did not go through. She then took a 2nd card from me, and I was charged my correct rate on that card but still have not received a refund for the $105.00. I also called and spoke to a customer service person who was supposed to request the refund and that still has not happened.

This Uhaul location provides superior service always... that is why I have requested this particular location every time I have rented with Uhaul. Quwana is an outstanding sales associate and ALWAYS provides superior service. Everyone you come in contact has a personable and helpful way in customer service skills. I would highly recommend this location for rental needs. I applaud Quwana and her staff for always treating me with "top customer service" each and every time I have rented.

First when renting the U Haul, my husband and I chose a larger truck and the pick-up location was in Rustburg. When we arrived to the "U Haul" pick-up, it appeared to be someone's residence. The U Haul was not prepared, nor was anyone there. After driving 15 minutes out of the way to pick up the truck, my husband and I did not get our truck. When we called to asked U Haul about it, they stated they called a secondary number but stated that they would be closing soon. This again meant that we did not get our U Haul. I called customer service again and the only thing that they offered me was a van due to availability in Lynchburg. The lack of professionalism in the first location is enough to make me consider all other options before renting from U Haul in the future.

I have used u haul several times at this location.. Brandon was super nice as he checked us in this morning.. The return this evening, the lady was very nice.. ( sorry forgot her name)thank you for making a stressful moving day, very nice..we couldn't have asked for service any better than we received.. I cannot think of anything that would improve service for the next customer. The service at the Kemper Station is outstanding. Quwana and staff have exceptional customer service skills. Jeffrey and Shannon couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful with my 3rd. experience at Kemper station. Such a nice and knowledgeable group of sales associates who made my rental a "no pain experience".
