Manager was very rude. I asked customer care agent before booking if I could rent it on International Driving License. The agent said I could as long as its a valid license and will not require any additional documents. When I went to rent it, the location manager said that I needed to put my friends cars registration as collateral else "we dont have a truck for you". these were his words. such a scamster location. I will never ever rent a U-haul and will not recommend it to any of my friends.

I had rented a van from the Salem location online. Received confirmation that everything was all set. I was called 2 days later to be told a mistake had occurred and they were overbooked for that day. I was told Lynn would be the next available location. However, in doing this it raised my mileage from only having to drive about 5 miles round trip, to approximately 15 miles. I asked at the store if any sort of compensation... the manager shrugged his shoulders and said I had to pay for miles. I even asked about splitting the difference of the extra miles. I was told to, next time, not rent on such a busy weekend. If that isn't bad enough, the van they rented me did not have a working drivers side seatbelt. It was locked in place. And to finish my lovely experience, I was called an hour early and asked when I'll be bringing the van back. It was 5:03, and I was told I could have it till 6 (as per the original agreement I had). I can deal if I have to pay a little extra sometimes, but the treatment received was not customer friendly. I should also note that while in the store, another associate yelled (or at least raised his voice) at a customer for parking somewhere before even knowing who the car belonged to.

Had a weird experience when picking up my reservation. Employee thought that it was ok to speak very casually in my presence. I feel as though because I am 1. A young man and 2. Of color, this employee thought that it was ok to use various curse words in my presence. If I was a middle aged white man, I doubt he would use these slang words/vulgarities. He was a young white man by the way. The rental truck was fine though!

My original reservation was scheduled for pickup in the morning. My confirmation shows a 4:45PM pick up. The csutomer service folks at UHaul Lynnway were less than helpful. In order to get the issue resolved I had to call the UHaul customer service folks. This episode created quite a bit of stress for me.

I would rent twice as often as I did if I could get through the rental process faster. I just needed a trailer for a couple of hours but it took almost 20 minutes from start to finish. U - haul should have more employees . I waiting about 15 minutes on line the was only one person on the desk. Also they should bring the truck in front of store intended the customer getting them self.

the "mgr" hooked up the car carrier and when we arrived at our destination we were shown by the employee in nc that it had been hooked up incorrectly causing one of the chains to break and the light wiring was wrapped in the chain causing it to get broken as well and we drove with no lights for the trip. very disatisfied. Won't do business with Lynn, MA location again.

The fat guy needs to go. His Attitude was awful. To make matters worst he took a (personal) phone call and had a full blown convo on his cell phone while I sat there and waited. My thing is if ur unhappy with ur job then quit. Dnt make everyone else miserable because yu are smh

I made a reservation for 9:00 am on Sunday, 8/3/14. When I arrived, at about 8:57, they were in no way ready to receive customers. There were over 10 vans/trucks that needed to be processed and returned the lot before they started taking customers. However, they did move through the vehicles rather quickly and even though there were about 4 people in front of us, we ended up leaving the lot about 9:40. Our clerk, Lucy, was very attentive & made it a point to apologize for the delay. I also noticed she gave all the other customers in front of me the same courtesy. The pick up would've been a little better if there wasn't a person blocking the driveway while trying to trouble-shoot something on the rental hook-up trailer he had. I sat on the Lynnway for at least 10 minutes b/c there was nowhere for me to pull in. It took about 30 minutes, again, for Lucy to get to us and check us out but I understand it was because she had 2 customers in front of us. This is my first time renting from Uhaul and I don't know what typical Sunday service is but it would seem to me that a few more bodies might have prevented the back up. Otherwise, Lucy was very pleasant and made us feel appreciated & valued.

The rental was fine but someone in the office seems to not like his job. I would not like to get anyone into trouble, but customer skills is definitely something this individual should work on. I was in there twice this weekend renting two different times, and this worker seems miserable. There was one other gentlemen who waited on me that was great though. Other than that, the service was fine.
