Uhaul called me the night before and didn't have the right size truck. Had to use a smaller truck since there was nothing else available after having a reservation for over a month in advance.

when a customer books a trailer at one location and the contract is accepted. It should be honored instead of sending a customer to another location to pick up trailer. If these locations are so close the UHaul people should go get the trailer and have it ready for customer who set up arrangements at the location they chose. The people at the Schereville location were very helpful. Penny at the Merriville location was very helpful.

Everything went great! Service reps inside and outside were excellent. The only thing was I though I could pick up the vehicle in the am when they opened and when I called to confirm they said the vehicle would not be in until 11:00 am! So had a four hour delay to get the vehicle, which brought us home very late and during storms. Other than that I commend all the employees I dealt with and the vehicle was great! Very clean, and ran great! I will definitely come back to this location!

When I reserved the trailer, i was to pick up and drop in crown point in, closer than schererville and merrillville, wanted lowell or cedar lake. When confirmed, was to pick up in schererville and drop off in crown point, place was farther away from big uhaul center, then once I rented it the drop off point became farther away again. Dont keep changing thing during the process

The scheduling person I spoke to on the phone to change the details of my order was amazing. I was wrongfully charge $100 for damage I never caused. And I'm seeking legal assistance.. I believe that location us putting blame on innocents customers. Please everyone never go there.

I had to go back and forth with the sales rep over the price of the rental. There were charges on my invoice that I had went over before the rental that the rep promised she would remove but didn't. I did not appreciate having to ask for the manager to get issues resolved. I was clearly being taken advantage of but the rep would not budge. Thankfully the manager overheard the problem and resolved it but the overcharges made for a disappointing experience overall.

I had reserved s truck inJune for a move I was making in Aug. When I called to confirm a few days prior to the day I needed it, I was told there was no truck in the area. When I asked the purpose of a reservation I was told I could have a truck IF one came available. I felt like I was reliving a Seinfeld episode! After becoming rather "upset" they were able to find a truck for me. Pick up WAS supposed to be in Lowell In but it had to be in Merrillville. The original rep was going to give me 12 "extra" miles for the added distance. It may be twelve miles if I were flying! Merrillville was nice enough to resolve this issue. It just seems to me that as a business you would think they would try and make it a good experience for the customer.

I called 1 hour before pickup to let them know I would be 30 minutes late. They said the truck was there and would be ready. When I showed up the truck was NOT there and they moved my reservation to an hour later, not 30 minutes. I live out of state and was stopping in town to bring furniture home. We had to wait longer than expected to leave town.

The woman at the counter was very rude from the moment I stepped up to the counter till the end of the transaction for no reason at all. Being in a customer service field, I do not how she thought this get return customers. She was also rude to the gentleman in front of me.

Would not allow us to pick up or even return truck in our area despite "guarantee." Had to drive 64 miles round trip at $1.19 a mile because of their inability to honor their website policy. Would not allow us to rent for the full 24 hours as plainly written on the website. Insisted we return the truck in 16 hours. Truck had the sloppiest steering ever, and would jerk violently at speeds over 50 mph. Can't even offer a safe vehicle at these ridiculous rates. Staff was unfriendly and rude and offered no plausible reasoning for not honoring their own policies. Fed up with their generic responses, we asked "you guys are basically robbing people and stealing money hand over fist, aren't you?" He had the audacity to reply "yes we are." I would rather strap my belongings to my back and drag them to another location than deal with these thieves again.

1. Do not advertise to the customer that they can pick the date and time when in reality...the rime is already set....and my truck was.not available until 90 minutes after they SAID I could get it. 2. ALL trucks should be equipped with a ramp!!!! 3. Better customer service...I brought the.truck back 90 minutes late. Y wife said she was called after 4 hour window..very poor attitude!!! Considering I was inconvenienced from the start and pick up time was not honored...I dont feel that was necessary or professional!!!! I WILL NOT BE USING THIS METHOD AGAIN!!!! Thanks for nothing uhaul!!!!

Your truck leaked fluid in my driveway which I cannot get clean. I just bought my house that has paver driveway that did not have a mark on it and now it does. Couldn't be more disappointed or mad with u haul.
