The truck was clean when received and appeared to be well maintained. When I tried to explain to the service assist (young female) behind the counter that this was a one way trip to Kendall (which is south west of this store), she gave drop off options in OpaLocka (nowhere near Kendall). Furthermore, when I was unpacking the truck some of my boxes inside were wet due to a leak in the roof. Fortunately none of the contents of these boxes were damaged so I did not file a claim.

I have used U-Haul multiples times, I appreciate the quality of the equipment at such feasible prices and the unlimited resources for making any move a smooth. This location in particular is convenient although I would probably spend the additional mileage and rent at another location. The customer service there is deficient, the gentleman who attended me made it a priority to send text messages on his cellular phone while I stood there patiently waiting. He stopped several time amidst the rental process to share the responses from the recipient of his texts with his co-workers. He found himself having to “go back a screen or two” because there was information missing and he couldn’t close the sale. Without asking questions, he assumed the mileage I would use the rental for coming up with a ludicrous number which I had to question. Before he was granted the time to ‘explain’ his co-worker “jokingly” said there is a $500 hold for renting equipment. I use U-Haul two/three times a month in my line of work, I know better, and quite frankly did not appreciate their attempt to ridicule me. As if the process of renting the equipment wasn’t bad enough, returning it was most unpleasant. The gentleman who was supposed to receive the equipment and inspect it was too busy with listening to his radio show. I entered the facility to ask that anyone else take care of me and the same representatives who I rented from were present at the moment letting me know “dude outside.” I had to wait for “dude” 18minutes before he can check the vehicle carrying on speaking in another language which I am guessing he was asking that I park the vehicle elsewhere. The ‘Equipment Return’ signage I’m assuming is there for decoration. Overall, not a great experience at this location, third attempt hoping it would be better next time. I know what to expect if I go to this location. Great prices, all the resources but ZERO customer service.

Everything!!! This is by far the worst customer service i have ever had. The employees are rude and careless, the loading zones are filled woth employee vehicles, that take about an hour to get moves.
U haul should seriously re-consider their price levels based on the services that you are providing.
About 7 other dissappointed customers today who for sure dod not walk out witg a positice experience.
Personally i walked out with 150$ charge from a service beyong unacceptable.
U-haul again. I think not!!!!

The van was very dirty when I rented it. I was not informed that I was expected to return it cleaner than I received it, and they attempted to charge me a cleaning fee. I cleaned the van out myself to avoid this, but it either should have been made clear to me that the state it was in when I received it was not acceptable, or it should have been accepted back in the same condition.

I explained when I made my reservation that I need to store 2 couches, a mattress and boxes. When I arrived they told me that the storage would not fit what I had and that they were out of space for me. I had to drive 15 miles out to find another Uhaul storage. On top I was still charged for the miles I had to drive for uhauls mistake. This was a horrible experience. I will not use Uhaul again.

they need to learn to give a better service to clients. my car was blocked by other customers. no way to get out, on another occasion i was left alone in the parking lot to detach a trailer from my truck..

The 26' truck I rented looked to be about 30 years old. The performance was horrible, I thought it was going to leave me stranded. At the end of the day, there was a strange smell coming from the engine and smoke was coming out of the bottom of the engine. The truck needs to be decomissioned.

When booking I didn't realize this was in a very bad part of Miami. We were approached by a robber on the street before we were able to get into the truck! It was scary for two 65 year olds with a beautiful young daughter with us. I would suggest UHAUL have the truck in the yard for safety and employees stand guard until the customer gets into the truck and pulls away.

I left my car at the parking lot during the day while using the uhaul truck and it was broken into. There was no guard, locked gate, so anything. The employees seemed not to care. I would definitely not recommend using this location, especially if you intend to leave your car parked there.

The entrance to the business is not accurate with the address. We had to make several turns before I got to the destination. Better explanation about location should be given by the person who called offering storage services. Also staff should be better trained in receiving the customers with more friendliness.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
1) Your online system does not correlate with what takes place at the actual rental location at all.
2) I was told my estimated costs would be under $30 and I ended up spending $82.
3) You do not include the gas fee in the charges when you give customers their estimated total online.
4) You give an option for the rental insurance and when you arrive the location you are told if you don't purchase it they will charge your card $500 -- incredibly misleading tactic.
5) You are told that you have the rental for four hours -- yet the pick up location closes before you can drop the truck back off -- so you have to hold the truck over night somewhere -- no one makes that clear.
6) When you arrive at the location and try to call customer service you are told that you have the rental for 24 hours -- when in fact you are called the next morning and told you have to return the truck immediately or face a $50 charge.
7) I requested and paid for a dolly which I was not given. Thankfully the cashier refunded me for this purchase.
Overall I was incredibly disappointed with the service I received. You are given very little direction throughout the process and manipulated into spending nearly $50 more than you were told at the beginning of the process. I will avoid having to use your service again in the future.
