I have always had great service here, and I am a regular repeat customer, as I need to use uhaul services for my business just about every month. The 26 ft truck given to me this time was unfortunately in horrible condition. The transmission from first to 2nd gear kept jamming, and on every start it seemed like the truck won't start as it would crank for many seconds before hitting proper ignition. It was an Arizona plated truck, so maybe it came from a long trip recently and was not properly checked. Due to transmission issues, I obviously overpaid in gas fees as it put so much load on the truck at every traffic light when I had to accelerate from a stopped position. Worst of all, at one dedicated green signal, I was trying to accelerate from standstill to go through the intersection. The transmission was jamming so much that by the time the truck got close to entering the intersection, the light was turning from green to amber. During these 1-3 seconds, the truck suddenly 'jumped' into second gear after hitting almost 3000 rpms (and it was doing this regularly). Even though I had my truck quarter way into the intersection when the light was turning from amber to red, a police officer gave me a ticket to 'not stop properly on amber'. This was an overall very poor experience for me, plus now I have to deal with the ticket fine, plus additional insurance premiums for 3 years as per Ontario auto insurance standards. I know I can't prove this ticket was the truck's fault, but I sincerely hope someone will read this and at least do something about this truck. The plate number on it was AE-59991 and it definitely needs some service. I ended up paying much higher fuel costs for my trip on this, plus a lousy traffic ticket. I have to say this time was the exception, as 90% of the time I have had really good service and good equipment here. Thanks

Desk was very busy at 1:00 pm on Saturday but staff moved the people along very quickly and truck was ready to go when I got there. Very satisfied and staff was very pleasant to deal with.

I had an extremely bad experience with online booking and the service I received from the original booking. I am never going to use U-Haul ever again. 1. I did not receive the Van nor the Dolly at the Hasty Market location in Mississauga, when I reached there. 2. I did not receive any call ahead of time informing me that van will not be available. 3. U-haul website claims that I will receive a $50 compensation in case the guaranteed booking doesn't transpire. The customer-service agent who booked me at other location did promise that management will look into it. What I receive is an unprofessional email without much substance. Sorry U-haul, I am extremely dis-appointed.

I particularly like the fact that I was provided with an estimate upfront, including mileage, insurance etc. This is a good way to manage expectations. I also liked the diagram provided that shows how many litres of gas to put in the tank to bring it back to the required level - very convenient.

Truck was not ideal. Tons of vibration at Highway speed... steering wheel wasn't on centre while driving straight and there was tons of cabin nose as the weather stripping on the driver door was gone. Also the 12v adapter was broken.

I had the wiring harness installed on my 2013 Nissan Rogue AWD on August 28th and have rented 3 times from U haul. Each time a representative hooked me up and unhooked me without my assisting. I tried to rent a trailer 2 weeks ago and was told there was an issue with the wiring harness and lights on the 4 prong were on and they could not in good conscience let me have a trailer and that I need to see the install staff. I was told a week away was the first opportunity to have it looked at. When I showed up for my 08:30 appointment I was told I had to wait as I got bumped for some other issue. When he took me in he stated I needed a complete new harness and would be charged 1 hours labour + parts. I stated that was unacceptable as it was less than a month old and they did the install. I was asked if I had taken the wiring insurance? I stated I knew nothing of such an option and it was ridiculousness since it was a month old and they installed it. They told me there was nothing they could do except pay all over again. I stated I would pass and would be contacting U haul head office to lodge a complaint. I was then passed over to the assistant manager George. I once again told him of the ridiculousness of the situation and he told the installer to replace the harness and said he would only charge for half an hour labour. I thought he was being reasonable so I said fine. Harness was replaced and only charged half an hour labour. I returned a few days later to rent a trailer and was hooked up by George. The trailer left light was on consistently but George let me leave. I left the dealer and drove to Burlington on the QEW west. I was pulled over by the OPP officer for a non functioning left signal. I used my Peace officer badge to explain the situation and stated that I would take it back to the dealer and let them know. He showed me professional courtesy and I returned the trailer and spoke to George. telling him of the left light being on constantly and that the signal didn't function plus the connector had a light on (center), He called the manager )Lee) over and he stated that he would order a quick fix connector and install it for no charge. Let me state for the record that I have no issues with the staff at the U haul center, but I am not happy with the time and money wasted on getting the job done correctly and professionally. I was refused a trailer rental because the lights on the 4 prong were on, plus had to wait for a re-install of the wiring harness, paid for a re install and now am still waiting for the part to come in and be installed. I have paid for a trailer that I had to return and was unable to finish my moving. I have wasted time and money on 2 wiring installs and await a third. Am I to assume that your harnesses are faulty or that the installers are inept or a combination of both? Had I not used my badge to talk the officer out of issuing a ticket your company would have had to pay for that as well
