Rented a truck with just a few hours advance notice. The staff made it very easy with no problems. The truck was nearly new and in great condition. Everything was great and the staff was really friendly.

I was told a month ahead of time that there were no trailers at this location available, so I had to reserve one far away at the sunnyvale location. Then, the day of that I desperately needed it and had reserved far ahead for, the sunnyvale location did not have it. They said to try the Mountain View location, so I had to trek all the way back which was a hassle and made me late for my responsibilities with the trailer. My school uses these trailers each year for our homecoming floats, and we have come back several years. However, I'm not sure if we can continue to use UHaul if this is the kind of service returning customers get.

I read some poor reviews but my experience was excellent. Renting on a Wednesday meant no lines and my pick up and drop off both took no more than 5 minutes. Truck only had 3000 miles on it. A good experience.

The personnel in the counter was not friendly nor helpful. I checked-in online hoping that it was ready when I get there. I was instructed that the van is ready right outside the front door but it wasn't. I wasted over 10 min looking for the cargo van in the front parking lot, checking all the trucks/vans that was there after I figured out where to check for the number because I was not informed where to look for it. I finally found out the van was not even there-it was still in the back parking lot.

Hi, Over the weekend I reserved a 14' foot truck for Saturday the 11th from 3-9pm. I picked it around 3:45pm on Saturday and returned it a little after 7pm the same day. When I filled out the rental forms I indicated I did not want a dolly, pads or any additional items. However, a dolly and pads were in the back of the truck, secured to the wall with zip ties. I did not see them until I got home and starting to load the U-Haul. Given I did not ask for these and the fact they were zip tied I assumed I would only get charged if the zip ties were broken. I used neither the dolly nor the moving pads and return the U-Haul with the ‘seal’ on both still unbroken. When I drop my keys off the same day as I rented the truck there were still two people in the building who motioned for me to put my keys in the drop slot to the left of the door. On my receipt I was charged for a two day rental and the use of the dolly and pads for two days. I returned the truck the same day I rented it and two hours before it was due back so do not understand why I was charged for a second day. Additionally, I did not use the pads or dolly at all and believe I should not be charged at all for them no less for two days. I called customer services who asked me to fill out this customer review form and said the store manager would get back to me. Thank you very much.

My comments are related to your call center. I am extremely disappointed in U-Haul. I reserved a 17 foot vehicle 9 days prior to my need date. I received a confirmation. The day before I was supposed to pick up the 17 footer, I received a voicemail stating that my vehicle was unavailable, unless I wanted to drive to Santa Cruz to pick it up! I was offered a 14 footer in exchange. When I called, I asked why a 9 day old reservation couldn't be met. I was put on hold, then told that the 14 footer was unavailable as well! I told the idiot I was on the phone with that this was simply unacceptable, and he hung up on me! I called back, got another call center employee, who said that the 14 footer was still available. She sent me another confirmation e-mail. Not actually believing anything coming from your call center at this point, I physically went to the Mountain View site and confirmed the order with personnel working there. While there, I commented on the trouble I experienced over the phone, and was told to never make a reservation by calling, but instead to personally go to the location personally, as the call center "can't get anything right". The yard staff at both locations were polite and competent, but your call center is a nightmare! The fact that I can't call the local number listed and deal with the local folks is something you should fix. Never had an experience like this with U-Haul. Ever. Not likely to ever let it happen again, either.

Had lost my reservation. 6 people in line and it did not get any smaller with 3 people working on a Saturday Morning. When I returned the guy who check my trailer in, told no just put it where I found it and they would email me a receipt. So now it is my job to put the units back and disconnect then... Poor service all the way around.

This site has improved vastly. I was expecting to wait a considerable amount of time in line. However, early Saturday am there was no line. I was set up quickly with a trailer and hitch and was on my way. Even the return went quickly. Very satisfied.

My experience with your call center was adequate but not a delight.it seems that your call center staff has limited information available to it. My experience picking up and dropping off the trailer in Mountain View was perfect. I have trouble walking and standing. I never had to get out of my car. It was a delightful experience.

They called me once and told me to pick up in Sunnyvale. Then later that day they told me Mountain View.... though it wasn't like they were switching me, they never told me my location was changed Said I needed to return friday, but I don't think they specified the time... I got boned with late fees (typical) Oh, and then I was supposed to drop off in Redondo, but apparently they messed that up too and tried to send me to torrance Not sure what is mountain view office's fault or corporate's fault.... but this was overall TERRIBLE.
