I had a reservation (#241365680) on Aug. 24 for a 17' truck on 9/29 with scheduled pickup of 11 a.m.. on 9/28 I received an email stating my location had moved and pick up time was 4 p.m. I called and stated this wouldnt work as I needed the truck for a festival that would start at 3. I was told on the phone it was worked out and to proceed at 11 a.m. to the new location (which was still less convenient). when I arrived they said I had been moved to yet another location. However when calling this 3rd location they stated there was no truck there for me either. I waited at the 2nd location for over an hour trying to call every truck company and location in town to get something. Finally after calling the Uhaul 800 number one last time they said the solution was for me to get a truck 30 minutes in the wrong direction - not a solution as I would not have made it in time. So I proceeded to drive by the 1st location to stop in and check and they told me there was a 10' foot truck available right then. i took it under a new order number and ended up having to make 2 trips to the festival because the truck was so small. I read on your website there is a $50 guarantee for a truck - I should receive that for my trouble.

I had a confirmed reservation for a 8ft. pickup truck with hitch.#95786184. Received 2 emails verifying my order for a pickup truck. When I arrived at the 8'th Ave. South location, I was informed my Cargo Van was ready. I explained I never once ever discussed or needed a cargo van. I had a loaded trailer that I needed to haul. Thus, my original and always only request for a pickup truck rental. Since it was late in the day on Saturday and I didn't have time to go to some other Uhaul store ( near Nissan stadium in Nashville ) since I couldn't trust your company to not screw this up again, I rented a cargo van. I had to "unload" the trailer stuff into the cargo van. This took time and energy that I shouldn't have had to do. I want two things: I want a call from the Nasvhillle district manager to my cell 615-772-6404.or my office at 615-849-2240. I want my rental to be made " complimentary" i.e., no charge since company violated my contract with you and didn't have a pick up held in reservation for me at that location. Uhaul has a chance to do the right thing and recovery on this situation. If you elect not to do so, then I doubt I'll ever do business with you again and I'll l et family, friends, and business contacts know about the incompetency that I experienced. Rand, the manager was barely paying attention to the problems we had renting a truck. Our confirmed reservation was not honored. We spent two hours on the phone the day before trying to correct it. We finally cancelled. The next day (the day of the original reservation) I called , on a whim, and was able to rent a truck! (Same store). When I showed up Rand gave us $50 for the reservation that was not honored and then informed us that our truck was at another store. We went there only to find out it was at Rand's store. (They called and spoke with him). We went back and processed our contract with a new (day one) employee while Rand was on the phone with someone else. He saw us but said nothing (despite the fact the it was HIM that sent us away and HIM that took the call from the other store confirming out truck was at his store). Anyway, as he started to leave the customer area I did tell him how disappointed I was that we didn't even get an apology for being sent away to another store. Then they told us our truck had 1/4 tank of fuel and when we started it, it said 7 miles to empty. From reservations to store management your company is failing.

First contact I had to call a female was very pushy and rude when I had to call to extend my time. Due to movers delivering furniture and traffic, I had to extend two times more that day and the second and third persons I talked to were very polite and understood my situation and gladly extended my time. Overall I had a good experience, especially with the late 8pm close time.

I'm very upset about my last visit at uhaul. I rent a truck and a trailer to carry my motorcycle. This is the first time when Im towing a motorcycle so I asked the staff how to do that. One guy told me I should use 2 tie downs (one rope at the from and one at the back on the another side). So I bought a package which contained 2 tiedowns. I asked him about 4 tie downs but he said 2 is more than enough. The result: a broken turn signal and a leaned motorbike. Uhaul shouldn't advertise itself which tells me that I can get professional advices. Now I know this guy had no idea how to carry a motorcycle on a trailer. I wish I would knew it sooner.

Make sure employees tell customers where to drop truck off when finished with It if moving out of town and don't say don't know about the area when he could have looked it up on the computer like the man said when I had to call for drop off information I was a very unhappy customer

At 6:05 pm on 8/15 the location on was under-staffed. One lone, polite and apologetic associate working, doing everything he could to take care of the waiting customers. I was in line 15 minutes to be assisted and observed 2 other customers who intended to purchase boxes walk out rather than wait to make their purchase.

Overall a decent experience - there were several staff behind the counter and only a few helping customers. Would recommend that when they see someone standing there that they initiate the assistance by saying "can I help you?" It made me feel as if no one really wanted to help but that they were required to - if that makes any sense. Also, we have used this location because of convenience many times and it seems every time I rent a truck on behalf of our non profit agency the system never has the information correct. I asked the gentleman helping me if he could make these changes permanent so that this doesn't have to be so cumbersome each time.

I reserved a U- Haul truck on Friday for a pick up at 10am and a drop off at 4pm. When I picked up the truck they told me my reservation was from 9am-1pm only. I had scheduled movers to help load the truck and this was not enough time to get the job done. The customer service was poor and no efforts were made to reconcile the situation.
