The experience I had was quite disappointing. Upon hearing that my prior truck had been in an accident with budget, I made my reservation through uhaul for a 9:30am arrival. When entering, there were multiple homeless people waiting in line arguing and saying they were going to rob the cashier because the line was stagnant going out the door. The female cashier at the desk said, "oh yeah, Im not able to do anything because I don't have a password" and left the office vacant. The male manager was filling up 6 propane tanks and we had to wait for him to finish before the line could move. After a 45 minute way, I was checked into the system side by side with a homeless woman also checking in. Nobody apologized to us in line for the long wait. My movers arrived at my house and unfortunately because of this wait, I had to pay them while I was still in line at uhaul. The manager for the most part handled the situation well. He wanted to make sure everyone got out quickly and went over all important information. I was disappointed with this experience and especially unhappy that I had to pay my movers for the hour that was not needed.

My experience with Jason Mitchell was absolutely amazing! He was wonderful to work with and helped to solve all of the mistakes that occurred. First, my appointment was moved from 8:00 a.m. to noon with out my knowledge. All of my confirmation emails stated 8:00 a.m. and when I arrived at 8:00 a.m. I was told my apt was at noon. Inconvenient. I picked up my car and some of the parts were left off of it and I had to go back. After loading my trailer I rented and was ready to drive across country...the wires were reversed on the hitch so the left blinker indicated right and vice versa. I had to go back to uhaul where Jason, who was amazing, assisted in fixing the wiring. As I mentioned, I was impressed with Jason, but the rest of the experience was not impressive.

coordination between your corporate headquarters, or whomever answers the phone and takes the reservations, and your locations are awful. I was given misinformation by the agent who took my order, resulting in my 50 minute drive being a complete waste of time as I had to return to my home to get additional items needed for rental. I was assured by your representative that a telephone credit card payment would be acceptable for rental. This was not true. The staff at the location was extremely apologetic and helpful. I was furious and will use other rental companies from here out.

The Whalley avenue workers were exceptional but I can't say the same thing about my uhaul experience overall. In not so many words it was a complete disaster. My uhaul reservation was changed 3 times, my original requests were not honored, and there was 0 communication. Uhaul was terrible about contacting me about changes that they made to my order and I almost was without equipment the day of my move. Not to mention, 2 moving companies that uhaul endorsed failed to show to help me move the day of my move. To make matters worse, uhaul workers lacked consistency when I asked questions anout expectations regarding the return of the truck and they tried to charge me extra fees that I had to pursue to get reversed. To make matters even worse I asked if I could be compensated for my time and trouble seeing as I did not get the equipment I requested 2 weeks in advance and was rerouted 30 miles away from the original pick up location. They only compensated me the 30 miles it would take to get the truck to the original pick up location. So in effect TERRIBLE service recovery. Ultimately I have been a tried and true uhaul customer over the last 5 years but I would honestly never use them again after how I was treated. The Whalley staff was great but the company is far from. I will be looking into budget trucks now because, though they are more expensive, I see through their ratings that they are 10 times more reliable. Be careful when reserving from uhaul folks, you might be without equipment the day of your move.

First and last time customer. Was not told how to return van after store closing hours, was then issued several unauthorized charges to my card together along with an unsigned, un-agreed upon contract. I am telling all of my friends and fellow students to stay away. Far away.

The on-site representative was totally rude, argumentative and unprofessional. I had made a reservation for 7pm for which I received a written confirmation which was changed to 6:30pm unbeknownst to me by the location leaving a voice mail which I had not received/retrieved. Further, the site closes at 7pm and said they do not release rentals after 6:45pm, again entirely unknown to me.

I rented a truck on 9/2 from Hector Torres and everything went downhill after he printed the invoice. First, the fuel was incorrect so he initialed my paperwork then I got two separate charges on my account that he couldn't explain when I called today. The manager, Roger was just listening in the background and telling him what to say instead of handling the call. He had a very rude tone and was belittling to me as a paying customer with questions. My experience with this uhaul has been bad and I hope I don't have to go back
