The place was so full of rentals that I had to wait a 1/2 hr before space was available to place the trailer. I should have just left it in the lot and let your people fiigure out how to get it to where it needed to be. the rental agent was very nice, but I should not have had to wai tthat long.

I could not find an adapter for my wiring harness in your selection and had to rent a truck instead of the trailer I wanted. Very disappointed in that. The manager was extremely helpful through the process and went above and beyond, was not his fault the wiring couldn't be worked out.

I had reserved the van for Orange, CT. Was upset that I had to go to New Haven to pick it up and did not know that till the day before. That put on 10 extra miles for my trip and then at the end was over by 2 miles and had to pay

The wait in line was way to long. Only 1 person on check in AND out. Then finally someone else came to help. But there should be at least 3 people at front desk AND one person moving trucks at a busy location like this. Staff was great under pressure. To bad this location wasn't staffed properly. Wouldn't come back to this location. ALSO quotes online are deceiving. Quote amount was wayyyyyy lower than what I was actually charged. Bait & switch. I probably won't use Uhaul again . Ever.

Location where negative experience occurred was on BOSTON POST ROAD IN ORANGE, CT. Sales clerk informed me that he would not rent me a truck for a 24 hour period because, "There are other people who will want to move on that date and I will lose money."

1- I requested a pick up in Clinton,Ct. You gave me New Haven. It took 2 1/2 hours on a Friday to drive to New Haven and back in heavy traffic. Clinton was 10 min. from my house. 2- I requested to drop it off in Newark,De. again only 10 minutes from the house I was going to and instead you gave me Elkton,Md. out in the middle of nowhere at farm stand. It took me 30 min. each way. Uhaul cost me 3 1/2 hours of my time when It should have been less than an hour to pick up and drop off.

The practice of giving customers tanks that are only partly full, and expecting them to bring them back with exactly the same amount of gas is ridiculous. It is very hard at the gas station to gauge exactly how much is needed to match the level. Having to restart the vehicle, wait for the measure to activate, then start all over at the pump is a waste of everyone's time. Why don't you give all vehicles to customers full of gas, so they can fill the tank before returning?

There was only one employee working that day. He was very rude to all the customers. He yelled at all the customers because we did not park in the right place. A sign at the entrance of the parking lot with instructions on where to park would help. The employee needs customer service training. These things would have improved my experience at this location.

they should have customer parking next to the office versus a note on the door that says park next door.....park some trucks there & allow customers to park near the office.

Have enough personnel to process people. There's was a line that took an hour to get to the counter. Attendants had to run between the customer to the yard to stage equipment.

Staff was remarkably rude, bordering on being confrontational with willful contempt. Shame on me for not checking primary odometer upon pick up. Rather, I immediately set trip odometer, which read 7.4 miles upon turn in. I was charged for 24 miles and could not refute the charges as I did not confirm reading upon departure. Additionally, when checking out the vehicle the attendant gave me one bag of moving pads and told me I could use the bundle attached to the wall of the cargo compartment to complete my order of 12 pads. Upon check in the attendant was different and tried charging me for missing pads because I was supposed to receive two bags of six each and use bags attached to cargo wall only in an urgent situation (for which I would be charged). I am disgusted with the treatment received and will go out of my way to recommend against ever using this particular UHaul location.

The truck had trash in it, the key was held together by tape, and the parking break in the truck was bent so as to prevent its release.

Please understand that we the customers give you the business and without us, you don't have a job. The general manager acted the whole time like I was a burden to him. He also lied to me and was deceptive about cost. Before I went to the uhaul location on Whaley ave, I was,told by a phone attendant from the line I called that I could pay for the visit in cash. The attendant signed me up without asking for a certain kind if truck. When I fit to the station, I asked for a truck with a cheaper rate and he hussed at me, snatched the keys from the wall and turned around as he left the room, actually throwing his hands up in the air angrily saying "it's just that I have a lot to do today!" While ringing me up, he complained that he had too many trucks, displaying a short temper the entire conversation. When it came time to out information in, he quickly recited something and told me to "just click yes so you'll be insured", and I inquired whether or not I could use my own insurance. He was avoidant and tried to say no or that I needed paperwork. I told him I could make a call and get that information if needed; he made me feel like i was doing something wrong. I called anyways. I did not appreciate him being dishonest. When I returned the vehicle, the attendant asked if we were going to pay with the card I gave him. I told him no, we would pay with cash. The attendant said we could not, so I told him that a phone attendant and the general manager told me I could pay with cash (which is true). We went inside to address this and the attendant returned to the counter saying the general manager said that he didn't say you could pay with cash. I do not appreciate being lied to. So the attendant then rsn my card without my permission; we intended to use our friends card (this was explained to the general manager). I am very concerned about my credit card information being in the hands of a dishonest man. Th attendant did not really seem to care about this. The business did not seem to care at all about its customers.

The two men who were on duty the day I dropped it off were overworked and understaffed for the amount of people returning equipment, but they were very courteous and helpful. Kudos to them,
