It was wonderful. I had a reservation for a 9' van & ended up with a 17' truck that we needed more. Did everything in 1 trip & the lady was so nice. Great experience!

We changed our reservation from a 15 foot to a 10 foot. I would have thought the price would have changed; however, it was the same. Crystal was GREAT to work with in Newport News. We have rented twice and both experiences were very good.

The employee complained the whole time I was there, about the weather, and the amount of returns that were coming in at once. The employee was speaking to himself and rose his voice multiple times as he was complaining about being alone.

The passenger door on the 10' truck I rented (TM 3409B) was hard to close. The inside door handle was broken by users having difficulty shutting the door. It should be repaired. I entered the store to return the truck around 6:30pm and didn't complete the checkout process until 6:55 pm. The wait wouldn't have been so bad were it not for your employee acting like we were a bother to him. His first name was John, but I can't recall his last and it's not on my receipt. He was quite rude to everyone he was serving. He was the only one working and had two customers renting and myself and another returning vehicles. He sighed heavily every few seconds and made several comments about not "getting out of there on time". He told the other customer "you're just going to have to park that in the back I've got too many to check in". When we were finally finished, he complained about still having to sweep the store and other tasks. Very displeased with his attitude. I am also unsure about how U Haul can advertise a $19.95 rate on many of your vehicles when renting a "$19.95" truck with insurance for 2 hours and 13 miles actually costs about $55 after refilling the tank with a gallon of gas to avoid paying the "convenience" fee. What exactly was the $1.00 environmental fee for? It couldn't have been for cleaning supply disposal (because none was required after less than 30 minutes of actual driving time) or anything else related to the environment. I don't usually leave comments and I am generally pretty forgiving when not treated as well as expected, but I couldn't let this go without commenting. My previous experience with U Haul was admittedly many years ago but was much better than this. I will be looking for alternative companies next time.

This location tried to sell me a ball that I didn't need. I have been pulling your trailers with the same ball for a good time.. The trailer rims looks so bad I thought they would blow out due to the extreme rust. Bad location.

The staff were excellent! The only issue I had was on turn in, your system wouldn't allow them to check in my vehicle. It took an additional 20 minutes for your system to allow them to check the truck in.

I first placed my reservation through the call center on May 23. The lady assured me I could pick up at the Mercury location, I got a confirmation on Sunday May 24 saying I need to pick up at the Nickerson location, so I call the customer call center to see what was going on I got the run around and hung up on twice. I called back to speak with a supervisor, she finally told me that the reason I couldn't pick up from Mercury was because the battery was dead. I asked her if she could send me my calls and ask for corporate number, she then hung up. So I went to the Mercury location and spoke with the manager she told me customer did not know what trucks she had, so she didn't know why they told me about a battery. She looked my information up and told me that they only had that size truck at the J Clyde Morris Deer Park location. She called and verified with Jennifer and ask her to put a uhaul guarantee on my account and charge her store or the call center, however she had to do it. Jennifer agreed, and said she would take care of it. So Saturday at 6:27 I received a call from Jennifer saying the truck was there but had a flat tire and she would have to wait to the store open and call to get it fixed. I went to the Deer Park location and finally received the truck at approximately 9 am. When I returned the truck the lady said she couldn't see the guarantee but it was on there and they would put the refund on my card in 5-7 business days. I have left to see a refund. I feel that this experience with uhaul is unacceptable and the call center employees are very rude. I will never rent from uhaul again, the worst experience ever to get a truck and move.

I had originally dropped off my auto transport at a Uhaul recommended location in Grafton, VA. That location is NO LONGER an authorized Uhual location, even though it was on the print out of drop-off locations. I had to go and retrieve the trailer my self adding almost 2 hours to my drop off experience due to traffic and this location being busy when i returned. I would use this location again in the future however.

Called the 1-800 number to ask where to drop off equipment and was given this location by the lady I spoke with. Upon arrival, a customer's truck was parked blocking the way you were supposed to enter, so I accidentally drove into the exit lane (it wasn't very well marked from the street). I parked the truck and trailer and found an employee to ask what I should do. He very abrasively directed me to back it up and pull it into the lane where it was supposed to go, and when I asked him how he suggested I do that, he said something along the lines of "figure it out" and acted like it wasn't his problem. He then promptly went on lunch break. Luckily I have experience driving combination vehicles and was able to back the 26' truck and auto trailer out into the street (Also luckily I had a friend who happened to have a high-visibility vest to stop traffic for me) and into the equipment return lane. The manager of the store stepped in at that point and handled the rest of the return for me, and her service was good. Her employee, not so much.
