We arrived at the original pickup site, (A Uhaul center off of Pleasant Hill Rd) a little before the scheduled pickup time and were told the trailer would not be available, and were directed to another location, a mile down the road. We figured it was just a mile out of the way, so whatever. We proceeded to the given location of the second uhaul center, off of Jimmy Carter Blvd, and were told the trailer that we had been sent there to pickup by the previous uhaul center was already rented for the following day and we couldn't have it either. They gave us yet another location, which was far out of our way in Decatur Ga, but we needed the trailer, we called ahead this time and got a confirmation. We were finally able to get the trailer, albeit at a much higher price, not including the wasted time and fuel to get it. It wasn't even rung up as a part of the original reservation. Even once we arrived at the Decatur location, they seemed under staffed and the processes of checking out a trailer was delayed no less than a dozen times by interruptions, but they were at least able to finally rent us the trailer we had reserved at another location, a week before,This Uhaul experience has completely put me off of ever using the service again, and I will be recommending anyone to go anywhere else to rent their vehicle/trailer. It was even pointed out to us by a coworker that uhaul is supposed to have a reservations guarantee, which we found at http://reservations.uhaul.com/resweb01/reservationguarantee.aspx . This was never mentioned to us at any location.

I called at 4:55 on Sunday, the phone was picked up and hung up. I called back, pick up hang up again. I called back again and finally someone picked up told me they are closing and could not wait for me to drop off the truck and trailer, but that I could deposit the keys in the after hours slot. No problem. That worked out fine, The pick up the phone and hang up series of events is distressing.

Instead of using people's phone numbers to rent trucks you should ask for ID. Suppose the people who rented this truck under my name stole something and all they got was the plate number they traced it back to me I would be pissed. I will never use your service again. I haven't for over 6.

I Thinks I paid to much for your services. You announce rent van for $19.95 but that is not true. You have to pay $0.59 per every mile, and another $10.00 extra for something else. I won't never rent whit you again guys, to expensive, and your $19.95 Van rent is a BIG lie!.

It said on my contract that I got 75 extra miles because I went 60 extra miles to get my truck but the represantive at this location said that it doesn't say on the contract so you have to pay the price for the extra miles but the contract I signed said that I have 75 additional miles. So then why did you all charged me??? Also I talked to the lady at my pick up location that the truck only had 3/8 of a tank and the contract said that it had 1/2 of a tank. The represantive at the pick up location wrote it down on the contract and did here signature on it. But the represantive here charged me for the gas in the truck too. So what do I do now I put a represantive from this location and the represantive from the pick up location and they both argued and cut the phone on me. So what other option do I have to get my money back that you charged me???

Not enough staff. Computer system is very slow. I have rented few times from this place. Always there is a long line and shortage of staff. Minimum waiting time is 50 -70 minutes. (provide more staff and update your computer systems)

NOW THIS PRE PICKUP AND DROP OFF. At the beginning of the reservation the first agent spelled my name wrong and the incorrect email address. which meant I did not get an email with my info I needed to get the truck. I had to call at like 5AM EST just to double check. Once I did call that is when I was informed and the corrections were made. So at that point I received the email. Then I go and pick up the truck.. the price is not what we discussed on the phone and then They did not have a truck that I could take out one way. I clearly stated the address and zip code the first time I made the call to get a truck. I that I wanted one way and I had diff pick ups and drop offs. OK then I called cu service and I met a manger from GA. I do not recall her name but she help me out alot and got me a truck. She was real nice and understanding, and patient with me even though I was(sadly admitting) I was on level 10 at 9 am in the morning. She was doing her job and got me taken care of. Things were looking up. I got my truck and it was good. When I was going to return the truck I called the 800 number.. I spoke with a guy that could not quite find my drop off location. Then the told me I had to take the truck back to Riverdale. And I am like negative, thats the whole point of "ONE WAY"... not back track. I told him where the next uhaul was located and he still could not pull up that location. I gave him the address and told him I was 1.5-1.8 miles away. Then all of a sudden he transferred me( A COLD TRANSFER), I did not know what was going on neither the young lady that answered the phone. SO once again I had to explain myself.. the she said she could help.. TRANSFERRED me again and then I got hang up on. At that point I was like FORGET IT, im going to Jimmy Carter. Now at Jimmy Carter they had the sign up and its said "OPEN", so I pulled up and waited. No one came, then a guy came out with a very rude attitude and said that they was close, come back Sunday. And left. Then today I get an invoice that said that I went 24 miles over and I did not put the gas back correctly. On my Invoice I was given 17 extra miles and I filled the gas back up according to my contract. My experience with Uhaul was very difficult, Yes I was mad and yes I wanted to pull my hair out. I have used uhual trucks many times and had an overall satisfactory experience. I know this is not how U-haul conducts business so I can not ding them for that... But the handling of the situation was less than stellar up until I spoke to the first manager. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I called today to see whats going on with the extra charges and DOLLY from GA was excellent in handling my call. You guys need more people like DOLLY on your team. That big move I did left a big nasty taste in my mouth with U-haul, but at the end of the day, would I use them and recommend them again... THE ANSWER is YES! I cant let one major bad experience, change my view when I have had man

Truck had leak inside cabin, I was soaked while driving through rain. Owner seemed to not care. Office is dangerous, the roof of the building looks like it is about to cave in from all of the water damage inside office.

The manager made myself and several others wait twenty minutes while he counted the drawer. The place was supposed to open at 7:00 but they woi let not wait on anyone till almost 7:30. They were extremely unprofessional. The truck had extreme play in the steering that made it difficult and . Dangerous to drive and the transmission is slipping.

My experience with Uhaul on this trip was awful and stress-inducing. Not only were the customer service agents rude, but there were several "dropped" calls (something weird going on with your phone lines) that made every conversation more irritating. Customer service was awful. I will not be recommending Uhaul to any of my friends.

I went to the marathon off of beaver ruin first to get a truck. The truck I rented was not there. The women behind the counter there didn't care about not having a truck for us nor would she help us find a new truck or give us the number to another uhaul facility. My reservation was for 9am. I arrived at 9:15. She said the truck I reserved wouldn't be back from being used until 12:30. This was very inconvenient. If I reserve a truck from uhaul I should be guaranteed a truck. That is unacceptable. The marathon gas station off beaver ruin is really making uhaul as a brand look bad. I called uhaul and went to customer service. The first time the women didn't listen to anything I said and transferred me back back to the start menu. I go back to the start menu and start again. Even more frustrated now than before. The next women I spoke with was more helpful. After being on hold for a while we got disconnected. By this point I was at uhaul off Jimmy Carter. I call back again. The women I spoke with gave me the direct number to the regional off in Atlanta and was very helpful. The women I spoke with at the regional office was helpful as well. The uhaul off Jimmy Carter was great! They had a truck for me and were able to get me out the door faster than going through corporate. They were very friendly and helpful. Within minutes of being there I had a truck. A lot bigger of a truck and a round trip truck but I still have a truck. I will only use the Jimmy Carter location if i ever use uhaul again.

I had to wait over an hour for the truck due to a faulty door. The door still didn't close easily and caused issues. The wait was just unacceptable. And there was not any concession made for the inconvenience.

When I went to pick up the trailer, the general manager (Viktor) was extremely rude, and when I asked a question, he all but snarled at me like he was going to punch me in the face because I asked. When I dropped off my trailer, there was a different general manager there and he was on the phone with a friend using extremely vulgar language and was pretty much screaming. I wanted for 10 mins before he decided to help me, and instead of getting off the phone, he used a headset and kept talking while checking me in. I would avoid this place like the plague.

I was overcharged for miles. I had to drive 20 extra miles out of my way for a total of 40 to pick up and drop off truck so that means 40 extra charge which to me is a problem. I will use someone else for next move. I also had reserved a vehicle for 24 hours and they only scheduled for until 9 drop off which also was a big cost to me. So not well pleased with this.....use email.lookup

I reserved my U-Haul the previous day online for pickup at 2:00 P.M. for 4 hours. Upon picking up the vehicle, the lady told me I had to drop it off by 5 P.M. or be charged for an additional day. Meanwhile, my roomate rented his U-Haul from the Alpharetta location at the same time and was told that the vehicle could be back at any time before open the next day. I made it back with literally 4 minutes to spare (4:56 P.M.) and the guy that checked me in gave me attitude the whole time because I was bringing it back to close to closing. The young lady behind the counter as well as the young man checking me in had poor attitudes with little to no information (even after inquiring) to give me other than "sign here, have it back by this time, and you'll get your money back in the next few days". A stressful day (moving already is without a 3 hour deadline) and VERY POOR customer service. As far as the equipment - perfect working condition. Wish I could say the same for the staff of this location. Myself nor anyone I can let know will be renting a U-Haul from this location.
