The number of miles we were charged for was overstated. We did not make any side trips and only went from the rental place directly to the location we were moving from then directly to the location moving to and directly back to the rental location. The gas station we used to fill up was on that route. I won't be using U-Haul again because apparently the odometer readings on the trucks are set to register more miles than actual. we were charged for over 50 miles when the actual round trip with all stops should have not been over 32 miles. Google directions totals 30.2 miles. The advertized daily rental price is also misleading, it does not say "plus mileage" so actually the rental was significantly more than expected. I suggest the company make sure all trucks/vans have accurate odometers and that the advertised daily rate mention plus mileage .

The staff was EXTREMELY rude, pushy, and arrogant. They gave us a dirty trailer and told us that when we bring it back "it had better be clean." I will never, ever use this U-haul location again, even if it is the last one on earth!

When I called the call center I ordered and was assured I would receive a 26' truck. However, when I called to confirm with the location I was informed that you arbitrarily substitute a 24' truck without discussing it with the customer because it is the same price! I was outraged. I ordered a 26' truck and expected to receive a 26' truck. If I had wanted a 24' truck, I would have ordered a 24' truck. Will I recommend this location? Sure, they are not the ones who messed up my order, they simply followed company policy and provided me with a truck at that rate. Then discounted the mileage rate by 30 cents a mile to cover the additional mileage I had to drive by picking up in NW Omaha when I was moving from SE of Omaha (Bellevue) to NE Omaha. Will I suggest renting from U-Haul? Absolutely NOT. I can not imagine that you would decide the amount of space I need based on the number of bedrooms I tell you I have. I had 2 bedrooms, library, den, family room, living room, full finished basement, 3 1/2 car garage, a shed and lawn furniture. It did not fit in the truck and I had to make other arrangements in order not to have 2 trips at 59 cents per mile! The person on the phone lowered my rate to 59 cents per mile because I was told I would receive a call confirming my location within 24 hours. No call ever came in. No one bothered to inform me that I would have to drive all the way to 90th and Maple to rent my truck when my move out location was Bellevue! On top of that, the person at the call center when I placed my order was extremely unhelpful. When I asked which location I would be picking up at, she said she needed my credit card number in order to answer that. I could not believe she could not provide the location of pick up without a credit card number but she said that is the way the company does it. After providing her with my credit card number she still could not tell me where I would be picking up and that someone would call within 24 hours to answer that. I HATE BEING LIED TO AND SHE LIED TO ME. I have rented from your Millard Ave location a number of times and have never had a problem. I frequently help friends who are in need of a truck by renting for them and I was so dissatisfied with this rental that I will look into other companies for my next rental truck. I would rather pay more and receive what I order than play games like this. If your company offers something it should be provided, as requested not having someone just make a decision what I need. I chose to rent two trucks and used the other company for the second load, as well as the final clean up because all they had was a small truck at the last minute. I will never use your company again. You have lost hundreds of dollars a year over this. I am sure you are satisfied with the service you provide but I am not.

The gas guage was alittle wacky on the truck. The attendant had to adjust the amount of gas on my sheet, then when I filled it with gas to return the truck, the gauge read even less gass than before I had filled it. I filled it with more gas so I wouldn't get charged when I returned it and it barely read anymore. When I returned it and the attendant checked it, it read way more. So basically my sheet said 3/8 full, then was adjusted to just over 1/4 tank, it went down to 1/4 with my use, I filled it with a gallon and a half and it went down to under 1/4 tank, I filled it with more and it went up to just 1/4 tank, the uhaul attendant checked upon my return one store front away from station and it was up to 1/2 a tank. If your going to charge people for not returning the vehicle with the gauge at the same level it left, the gas gauges should work right.

We rented a 17' U-Haul truck including a car transport that was attached at the U-Haul pick up location once the U-Haul was packed.The 17' U-Haul we received to move across the country had 47 previous damage stickers located on the left and right side, mainly located on the drivers side rear wheel well. We drove into Illinois, when we heard what sounded like a muffler scraping on the ground. When we pulled off to inspect the truck, my parents, husband, and I discovered that the frame of the truck was digging into the wheel, wearing away the tire. We called U-Haul for roadside assistance, where we waited for a total of 4 hours. In that time, the roadside mechanics arrived and discovered that 2 out of the 3 axel bolts where sheared right off. If we had not pulled over when we did, I can't begin to imagine what a tragedy would have befallen my family. My parents could have been killed. Due to this incident, we lost a day of travel time because we had to have the mechanics tow the U-Haul to their shop to finish fixing the issue. We originally wanted a 20' truck but decided against it, because we didn't need that much space. We decided to downsize to a 17' truck, and because the pick up location did not have one on had, they scrambled to get us one. We feel like this truck was less than sub-standard and feel that this negligence caused our family a great deal of danger and a great deal of inconvenience on our travels to our destination. I think it only fair that I be compensated for the inconvenience of lost travel time as well as the mental anguish that was experienced on this trip.

Have used this location every time I need a Uhaul. However, I was greatly dissapointed when I checked back in with van that I had put 5 gallons of gas ($18.01) into a supposedly full tank after only driving 14.7 miles!!!! No offfer to compensate me in any way! Just an explanation that "sometimes the tank shows full when it is not" Next time I will only put one gallon of gas in, or insist that someone fills the tank until the pump shots off while I watch before I take the vehicle, so I won't be paying for your gas!

i wanted to compliment the staff. their internet was not working well, lots of customer in the store, and the staff handled everyone professionaly and as efficiently as possible. i'm sure they were under stress due to the sitaution but they didn't let it show. one complaint, the tie-downs i purchased were junk and did not effectively hold down the motorcycle their rating far exceeded. i was surprised of the poor quiality as my history with uhaul has always been fantastic. oh well, the truck, trailer and people were perfect.

At 5:15 pm this location said they did not have a truck available so they sent me to the Leavenworth location. The Leavenworth location closed at 5:00. So we had to drive back to the Maple location. This whole process took 2 hours. We still needed to move, we are not familiar with the Omaha area so this was a terrible experience. When I got back to the Maple location she was rude and acted like we were putting her out instead of apologizing for giving us the run around.

I was goven a smaller truck than what was originally rented yet was charged for the use of the larger truck. Also, Our dates for retal were wrong on uhauls system and customer service was not helpful in finding any option but a smaller truck further from my location. I will never use uhaul again nor will i recomend uhaul.
