Anthony runs a really nice store there in Peoria. Big store, so they always seem to find equipment when other locations don't have any.

Was disappointed about fueling/ rtn same level as when u take it, had for only 33 mile , figured 15$ should cover, gauge didn't hardly move so put 20$ again hardly moved went up to 31$ didnt move much so I said heck with it and headed across street to U haul hit a bump and gauge went up to almost full. I only had to rtn with 5/8 tank level not almost full, so who reaps the benifit of the fuel Uhaul, the attendent said the gauges can be touchy

I was over charged for mileage, that I did not use.

Upon arrival ,trailer I rented was not available and had to sub a barely usage trailer for my application and was charged full price for 8 hour rental but could only use it if I had it back in 3.5 hours - which I did. Was not a professional experience.

You should make sure your trucks/trailers are in good operating order before you have them reserved for rentals. My friends were picking up the trailer and driving to my place to help me move. This facility tried to convince them that the trailer lights not working was an issue with my friend's truck. Luckily he knows vehicles and knew this wasn't the case, and they finally admitted it was a problem with the trailer. They had no other trailers in that size and wouldn't let them have a comparable size truck, so my friends had to go to a different town to get a trailer. That place didn't open for another half hour, so they had to wait for someone to get there to help them. All the delays set us back 3 hours, and if course we didn't get any sort of compensation for the hassle and trouble Uhaul caused us. We weren't able to beat a snow storm due to the delay, so the move took us 8 hours instead of 4. I will do whatever possible to avoid having to rent from Uhaul again due to this terrible experience.

First, nice trailer. Well done. I've seen some real garbage in the U-Haul ranks, but this one-way corporately owned trailed was flawless. The automation used in Denver for check-in/check-out is impressive and suggested, but the Peoria Meadowbrook staff did a great job as always. I really wish U-Haul made the following changes: 1) The world is moving to smaller tow vehicles. A 6" wide, 5" tall, 10' long v-nose single axle trailer is needed. Sure I'd use 3500lb axles, but I'd placard it to 3000lbs GCWR to make life easy. 2) 55 mph speed limit on trailers? Have you tried driving across the plains of Nebraska at 55 mph? You're a menace at best. However, the little tires spinning much too fast on the 5x8 make anything much more seem dangerous too. To say nothing of increased ride roughness. You really need to move to a taller rim/tire combination. It would be safer and deliver a better ride. 3) If you'd had wireless backup camera for the trailers I'd have rented it. Seems like you're missing an opportunity here. 4) You really should publish optimum ball height's for each trailer. I think the 5x8's ideal top of ball height, loaded, is about 16". That answer is nowhere on the Website 5) Ever think about including a bubble level on the outside so we'd know how close to correct (slightly nose down) we were ball height wise? 6) An extendable "foot" or brace at the trailer rear keeping it from tipping backwards when unhooked and not yet correctly loaded would be nice. 7) I think you should include wheel chocks at every rental ( of course I changed tow vehicles, loaded in a heated garage while unhooked, and etc. 8) A swing up trailer stand would be awful handy. Hard to get proper tongue weights w/o the trailer being at the correct height too. 9) Since we've talked about wireless, and since arguably surge brakes don't meet many states and DOT's brake requirements (can't control trailer brakes independently). How about renting wireless controllers for that that need them and going to electric brakes? Lighter, more reliable, and I can adjust the amount of braking I need/want to my load. 10) How about a receiver in the back of the trailer? I sure would have liked to have had the bike rack and trailer behind the trailer, not inside it. Bike's just don't pack well..

Your 5X 9 trailer is only 52" wide not 60" as you state on you trialer and in your posters. This trailer I rented would not fit my 53" wide pool table. So I paid for something that I could not use at all. I think this is false advertisement like subway.

The 6 x 12 Utility Trailer needs a wider ramp into the rear of the trailer. the 4 foot 9 inch opening did not allow me to load the equipment that I needed to load.

They told me I shouldve cleaned it out (some leaves in the back) but it was dirty like that when I picked it up, so maybe just a better inspection before pick up.

Truck porter at this location was rude and out of line. She became unglued because I parked truck in wrong spot. Went screaming in the office "i am not moving that truck".Completely unprofessional.

I had no problem working with the dealers. I had a really big problem making a reservation on line only to find out the day before I was to get the truck, it was not available. I had labor lined up and paid for through you web site. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The manager there was super helpful and very pleasant. He showed concern that I knew how to drive the vehicle correctly and have me some tips on parking etc. while he was not manning the registers on my return he made a point to ask how everything went which was very nice.

I had to give lower scoring for this location because of one problem - albeit a larger one, We used a debit card to reserve our truck - but told the clerk we were paying with cash. We were ASSURED there would be no interaction with out bank account at all. After we returned our truck, and paid our fees with cash, we now notice there is a $74.45 hold on our bank account that has caused an NSF charge of 29.00 to out account. I have never ever bounced a check. With all of our moving expenses, this was just not a welcome event. No one at UHaul seems to care, only to say it is customary. Well, perhaps you should train the employees of this fact instead of teaching them to tell customers everything will be okay. Again, we discussed this in detail with the employees at the counter and were told this would NOT happen!
