Customer service is terrible here. There was twenty-five minute period of no one being in the store to help a line of customers. The attendant didn't comeback into the store until I fetched her from cleaning a truck and she still lacked urgency after hearing the information about a line of people waiting to be served. I would not recommend this location.

Make sure that he 10' truck back door locks properly and provide a lock to lock it, or rent a lock for the ride so that you do not need an extra person to be watching the truck at all times

You charged me for gas because when the large Uhaul employee sat in the van the gas meter moved below what I had filled it to (back to the level it was when I got the van).

The wait was dreadful to say the least. The days and even weeks leading up to September 1st are obviously going to be busy: I walked into the store and took my spot as 10th in line thinking it would probably move quickly since they were surely prepared. There was a lone attendant checking people out. Only after waiting for 25 minutes in line did she say 'did anybody use express checkout? Come to the front of the line!' This prompted me to use this function on my phone (took me 2 minutes maximum) and save another 45 minutes of my time. The second attendant looked like a deer in the headlights for the entire duration of my experience. She was smiling to herself, standing around, staring aimlessly, making darting eye contact with the sorry souls standing in line. Why is it that on what I would imagine is one of the busiest days of the season, only two attendants (one far more capable) were present? There was a third counter available that would have sped things up 30-50%. I understand companies have cut back, but I saw at least three customers leave the store when they learned of the fact that they were 15th in a line that never visibly moved. If customers can see that their experience is going to be poor before even starting the experience, something is wrong. Then again, places like this have a monopoly on moving trucks in a college neighborhood so it comes with the territory. On the bright side, my return process was successful and smooth. A single guy was doing all of the shuffling of vehicles so he didn't have time to do my mileage/gas check on the spot so that I could witness it but this is to be expected.

Allowing your customers to park in your lot! There is only a 2 hour limit for parking your vehicle, which is impossible to move in that amount of time. Of course I received a violation. Its expensive to move and now I need to pay for a ticket unacceptable. U-haul is aware of this problem but does nothing for its customers. By providing parking for your customers it allows us one less worry. Thank you!

I had a horrible experience with this U-Haul location. Absolutely never going back for any reason, even if they were the last moving company on earth and I had to move across the country. Service was extremely slow. What is the point of an express check-in, if it was slower that getting a U-Haul that wasn't reserved in the first place? The employees were very unprofessional and the manager was on the same level, if not worse. An error was made to my bank account and instead of resolving the issue, I was given the nastiest responses and back talk and made to feel like I was responsible for everything. It took 2 seconds for the error that I was lied to about and now I have to wait 3-5 business days for my money to be returned. I don't appreciate the employee lying to me and the manager making it seem like it was my fault for the way that everything was handled. The only way to improve this store is to get rid of all the people that don't care enough about customer service to do a good job and actually provide quality help. This is coming from someone who worked in customer service for years and has great reviews and references from employers and customers. I don't care to ever deal with U-Haul again; thank God there isn't a monopoly on moving trucks.

There was an hour wait for a vehicle despite "express" online checkout. Because I was frantically rushed due to the delays, I failed to check the odometer before leaving. There was an extra 20 miles on the truck. When I returned it, there was no one available because the store had a line of customers wrapped around it, several complaining that their "reserved" vehicles weren't available, and only two staff at the desks. When I picked up the truck, the dolly I requested wasnt on the truck and nobody found me one- had to go looking for one myself. I understand this next piece isnt that location's fault, but u-haul's partner company on their website, movinghelp.com hooked me up with a moving company that didn't show, forcing me to abandon furniture on the sidewalk in Philadelphia that I wasnt able to get up three flights myself. All in all, a horrendous experience.

The rear view mirrors were very loose and did not stay in place while the truck was moving. Luckily, I had someone driving with me to move them and/or tell me when I was clear to merge lanes. If I did not have another passenger with me, it could have been dangerous.

You can have the trailer that was reserved, be available as promised. I showed up at the location you assigned, only to learn that the Ogontz ave location failed to note that the previous renter called to extend their rental am additional day. Then I drove an hour to the University Park location to find they only had a small trailer available. The were not staffed adequately and the female staff counted her drawer out even though I was in line and no other staff were available to assist me. I needed this trailer to move my son into his dorm at penn state in State College for the first time. I will NEVER recommend UHaul to anyone going forward. I was do disappointed!!!
