I arrived at 5pm and was told that I had to use the drop box because it was too late to be checked in. I called the next day to check on my return and was told nothing had been processed and they would call me back - no one called. I reached out again 8 hours later to be told that the truck still was not checked in and someone would call me back - no one called again. Two days after I dropped off the truck I was emailed that it was checked in.

Two weeks ago I fussed about this place and said I was giving them one last chance if they didn't manage the front entrance better (they let big trucks park in the entrance and it's an unbelievable traffic jam compounded by inexperienced trailer drivers trying to back up once they realize they're in a mess. I have no idea if my Email did the trick but this time around was a different experience entirely. (I'm sure everyone who rents here has similar complaints so there was likely more than just mine). No complaints whatsoever. On this experience only. We'll "see" about the future...

I felt that the customer service when checking in could have been a little better. There were a few employees talking among each other while I was trying to go through the process of renting my U-haul. I had questions that weren't really being answered with devote attention. I have been in sales jobs most of my life and I always make sure to focus on my customer's needs and if I do need to talk among my employees I wait until the appropriate time or kindly ask to be excused from my customer and talk in private with my employees if it is necessary. Just a tip. Overall though the vehicle was ready to go and the process of checking back in was really easy compared to other places I have rented from. The outside attendant did a fantastic job! He made me feel valued as a customer and had a great personality. If you have that approach with the other employees your business will surely reap benefits for years to come!

it would be nice if someone actually came out to the return area. They could have told me I could leave the key at the desk instead of leaving me hanging until I went inside (even though the direction is to stay with the vehicle)

Tire on auto transport was flat when I loaded the car on the transport. This resulted in me being 3 hours behind schedule. The tire pressure should be checked before renting out equipment.

When we make changes, the changes won't change so we have to make the changes by calls, and we also had to visit the store twice. There were 4 people in total who helped us with this reservation and they were all women. Just because I couldn't speak english and my daughter translated, the manager, Kay Church, did it without care that we had to go through phone calls and online orders to make all the changes ourselves. The people who work there as employers were actually more helpful, caring, and had respect.The last person that we talked to in person at the store was very kind and I thank her so much. I am sorry that I couldn't remember your name. Also, my wife and my daughter was canceling a reservation of a one-way so we can apply at least later, I also give much thanks to her as well. Even though I don't remember your names maybe you will know who you are.

The Lancaster HWY location is great. However, getting the reservation through the 800 number was a nightmare. And then it was placed 30 miles away when there were 3 locations closer. I had to manually figure this out and make numerous phone calls. The "system" does not seem to work very well. The local folks are great, however. And I have to say that each person I reached on the 800 line were very courteous and professional. The system messed me up though, and I never received a call back to confirm. Had I not called often, my truck would NOT have been ready , nor at the right place.

This location has one problem that's enormous, otherwise, everything else is excellent. Nearly without exception, every time I pick up or deliver a trailer here, there is a large truck in the way, mostly with people behind the wheel who have never driven a truck or trailer. The staff at this location never asks that they move or be considerate and will stand in the entrance for however long it takes to take care of each customer (which is commendable for that customer) but I saw what amounted to a large traffic jam with people losing tempers, etc. all because one truck was blocking "everyone" and at no point did it occur to the staff to move that single truck beyond the gates into the roughly 1 acre of concrete beyond the gate, to do the paperwork. I was pretty astounded as I watched this fiasco and in the half hour I sat there in an idling truck, I watched an additional 5 vehicles all pile in behind me, which meant every single one of us became locked in place and the staff looked completely baffled about how this happened. When I mentioned to one staffer "why don't you move that truck beyond the gate" he said "yeah, I guess we could do that". They moved it, and the log-jam broke free. The problem is, this happens every time I'm there. (It's within 20 yards of a very busy highway and on a hill as well so when traffic comes into the entrance, there's little chance of them backing out and going elsewhere, especially if they're hauling a trailer.) It makes me question whether brains are being engaged and reminds me of the time I picked up a trailer, went 1/4 mile and thought maybe I should check to make sure the hitch was tight (it wasn't). Which is why i always check it now. I'll give this location one more try. (I rent a trailer every two months on average). After that, I'm done and will go elsewhere.

Make sure all items ordered and paid for are supplied. The furniture pads I needed were not out in the truck. This meant on moving day I had to borrow a friends car and then drive to several friends houses to borrow old sheets/blankets to protect my furniture for the move. Meanwhile the help I paid to move me had to sit around and wait. Not good.

You should have more parking area for customers or maybe you could have one of the employees directing traffic especially when trying to get out on to Highway. Otherwise it was a very good experience there.

Understaffed. Very slow check in. Friendly people though. Allow 30-60 minutes for check in. Same line for buying boxes and rentals. Buying boxes is very slow. I was pre-registered. Still slow.

Facility is way too small and no were to park. Waited far to long to return truck. Ned more employees if that busy. .99 per mile is absolutely ridiculous. You need to charge a nominal fair fee for the truck. Makes picking up a piece of furniture across town way to expensive.

The location was insane, it was pure chaos. It took almost 10 mins to simply turn into the parking lot, then there was no place to park. Cars and trucks were everywhere. The staff was clearly frustrated and therefore not very friendly. The counter staff was incredibly slow. Overall the experience was very disappointing and I will never use uhaul again.
