I informed the manager on duty and told him that the truck smelled like a heavy smoker and the breaks were very bad I also informed the manager and he took it for a test and he agreed I asked for a price adj he said no no happy at all I even returned it much sooner Thomas

The pick up location was fine but the reservation was a horrible experience.70% of the answering representatives(NOT FROM THE PICK UP CENTER) are either rude, uninformed, or just plain unwilling to help. I don't think I would ever recommend renting a U-Haul to any one again.

WHEN I BOOKED THE TRUCK, I EXPLAINED HOW MUCH FURNITURE I HAD.. MY TRUCK WAS TOO SMALL..FOR THE AMT OF FURNITURE.. VERY FRUSTRATED...HAD TO MAKE SEVERAL TRIPS..NOT HAPPY...

Disappointed with the trailer I was given. Built date was 1985 and it looked it. One of the tires came flat on trip. Cargo box leaked and mattress got rained on.

Made phone reservation. Checked online, they had booked a larger truck. Called up, said they have corrected it. Went to pick up truck, still had the larger one on the record. The good news, a smaller one was readily available.

Everything was fine except the girl at the counter when we arrived to pick up. Very unfriendly! She was eating her lunch and made us feel as if we were bothering her.

When I initially got the equipment the wiring was malfunctioning. This indicates that it was not tested between customers. This was not an acute failure, but rather a wearing of the wires, which indicates a long term failure, which would have occurred with multiple customers, and is a safety issue.

When I made my reservation, I clarified that the rental was a 24-hour rental. Then the customer service guy asked me when did I think I would return it. I said best case probably 5PM the same day, and again clarified that I did have 24 hours to return the truck (10AM the next day). When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was told I had to have it back at 5PM the SAME DAY!! I asked why and the guy said "that's what you told us when you made the reservation." Apparently the trucks are booked back-to-back to squeeze in as much business as possible. Another customer was going to pick up the truck at 6PM on the day I rented it. So if you want the convenience of a 24 hour rental, DO NOT say you can have it back any earlier than 24 hours.

So the two young gentlemen in the grey shirts who actually worked and helped connect the car hauler and then put it back were super helpful, and I wish I had their names. The gentelman behind the counter (who I believe was the location manger, green shirt + glasses) was pretty unhappy and could use some customer service techniques. As someone whose worked at the mall in a retail setting, I know its not always easy dealing with irrate customers. But I was not irrate. When I asked him for the wire that links my truck to the car hauler (which I recieved a month ago when I last rented the hauler) he told me it was outside. When I came back in ten minutes later to say it was not out there, he did not look up from the counter at me and waited for a grey shirted guy to help. Returning the hauler 4 hours later, he was very huff & puff and looked like he could use a drink. Again, I stress that we all have crap days, but sometimes its a turnoff for the customers

There was a different crew on duty upon my return and it seemed the check out was a little excessive, example they checked every tire and head lights which wasn't reviewed when I picked up the van. Overall I would rent again.

Hello my name is gina stellato today I had a reservation at uhaul in poughkeepsie 12601 ...I made my reservation over the phone a week ago ....and when I got to uhaul this morning I arrived to find out they had no storage units! When I made my reservation it was for a 10 foot uhaul n storage unit ....I was told over the phone everything was at the poughkeepsie location and they would show me round my unit and ill be all set to go.....but no . They messed up my whole reservation! I was so inconvenienced ! I had to pay tripple the money I was told if I rented the truck I would get the first month free for my unit ...... witch now I didn't because I was not paying miles to drive from poughkeepsie to newburgh ... I am very upset. And aggrivated I had a HORRIBLE expieriance and would never come back
