The guys at U-Haul made my move much less stressful than was to be expected and I am a very happy and satisfied customer. When I picked up the truck in the morning, the person who helped me (I don't remember his name) was personable, professional, attentive, and a distinct attribute to U-Haul. He really started my stressful day off on a good note. He was extremely knowledgeable without sounding like he was reading off a script. My friend and I really liked him. When I returned the truck, the man at the counter (named Joshua) was equally as friendly, courteous, and professional. He gave me a complete summary of the financial transaction and sent me on my way in a positive manner that will definitely cause me to continue using and recommend U-Haul. I do not know if it is U-Haul training or you got lucky and hired an amazing staff. Even the people checking the mileage and restocking the inventory made it a positive experience. Unfortunately for me I may be moving again in about six months but I will absolutely be going back to the Quincy Ave location. Thank you for helping me!

The rental drop offs are a bit confusing especially to someone who has not used U-HAUL before. A small suggestion, the person attending the customers should make sure the customer can handle driving the truck. I could not find the gear shift letters on the console at first. A quick explanation would not hurt. Thank you.

Jason was very professional and did everything he could to resolve my concerns. The 26' truck would not start. Jason called around to see if other locations had same truck available. I offered to use 17' truck if he'd extend my return timeframe without penalty. He also deducted the roundtrip miles for the extra trip required because of smaller truck.

Needed to hookup a wiring harness before renting a trailer. First they have me the harness and said they'd help me but they were way to busy(apparently smoke break). Then after getting into the repair I noticed it was the wrong harness and when replacing it for the correct one they gave me one which was plug and play which is what I asked for in the first place but apparently wasn't in stock until the first didn't work. Other than that the experience was fine trailer was in good condition and they helped me hook on. Also the were very clear on rental terms which is a plus.

The customer service gentleman was calm and professional with a line of customers and more coming in as I waited, and waited. He definitely needed a coworker. He was very helpful, but the van smelled unbearably bad. It smelled like someone had carted a load of dead animals. Yuck!

The truck was falling apart inside and i am very surprised that it would cost me MORE money to use the dolly. Everything was an additional cost which i feel is wrong. Its enough just to get the truck we should be able to use the dolly for help and make the move faster

I declined an extra items, as I brought my own 4-wheeled dolly. I was charged $7 after the fact for a dolly that I had already declined. I called to dispute the charge and the employee was rude, told me that the seal was broken and we would not get any money back. I said I knew nothing about the dolly or the seal and we did not use it. I said why wouldn't you warn me that if something accidentally happened to the seal, we'd be charged $7. He said "You didn't ax me." I said, why would I ask you about something that I had declined? He said I was not getting any money back. I said we are a non profit and you're cheating us out of money, and he said The Seal was Broken, you're not getting any money. We will never use your organization again because of this deceptive, dishonest practice, and a rude, ignorant employee. And we will spread this story to as many people possible through our website and all of our social media outlets.

Eliminate that ridiculous environmental charge that you charge your customers., I am absolutely 100% all about a clean earth, but I don't own those vehicles, I don't charge U Haul to maintain my car...that's an ABSOLUTE RACKET!! Just another way to make a few extra bucks for the CEO! That charge needs to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My pickup truck rental was easy, the equipment was in great shape, and Jason helped me with both a 1-7/8 and a 2" hitch ball as I was not sure of the size. I will definitely be back the next time I need a rental.
