Be very specific about return times. There was a gap in communication when the reservation was made. We have rented numerous times from this location and used the vechicle all day due to the distance. This rental was not going to be as far, but the 4 hour usage window was not mentioned, nor did I ask about return time based on previous experiences. The staff the morning of pick up was helpful and the moved was successful, but the unknown time constraint added extra stress not expected on move day.

Price was higher than I expected. Rented with "full tank", needle was below full mark. I returned van with needle above full line, no price adjustment. Used van only for 2 hours instead of 4, again no discount. But they made sure to charge me the two miles extra I drove!

One employee manning the desk but he was outside when I arrived to pickup the truck. Nobody in the store for several minutes while customers were waiting. Truck mirrors were not adjustable and not in a good position for taller drivers.

I rented a 10 foot truck three times in six months, I don't remember the first rental much, but the second and third rental I received the same truck. The second rental the visor was in disrepair, if you didn't swing it to the window, it hung down in your line of vision, as the arm that held the rod was broken. On the return trip, my total miles being less than 20, the check engine light was on, according to UHAULS warning that the driver could be held responsible for not checking fluid levels while using the vehicle, I checked the oil while I put gas in it. THERE WAS NO OIL, even after cleaning the dipstick twice. When I returned the vehicle, I informed the attendant of my concern had I been traveling a much farther distance on a vehicle with no oil. At this time, I was told a separate team comes in to do oil changes, etc. The last time I rented from Uhual, I received the same truck, the visor now swinging uncontrollably since the foam roof was now hanging, and the engine light came on within a half a mile from the Inkster store. It was at this time I called Stephanie, explained the situation with this particular truck, the same truck I had rented a month or so prior, had only continued to deteriorate, and by this time was truly compromising the drivers vision by a visor that swung with every turn, into my face as well as an engine light that was on due to no oil which I checked as my movers loaded the truck. Granted, Stephanie offered me a new truck, if I returned, but I had movers, on the clock within 15 minutes, and I could not afford to pay, nor should I, for the extra hour to switch to a new truck that should have been used in the first place. When I returned the truck and explained my concerns to Vinny, I was informed by him that it was an oxygen sensor that had nothing to do with the oil level, at which time I informed him that this was the second time, with the same truck, rented with no oil. I then left to replace the three gallons of gas I was short when refilling it because "They've been coming down on us for letting trucks come back with what they had" So I drove a dangerous truck because I didn't have the money to cover the time to go back and get a safe truck because the movers were on the clock. And then had to take the truck out for another 3 gallons of gas so I wouldn't be charged 50.00. Somehow, this doesn't seem fair, I drove through a parking lot with a FLEET of better looking trucks, granted they were various sizes, but at least 2 were 10ft trucks. So is this common practice? Keep the good looking good by using the same decrepit 10 foot truck? That doesn't say much for your concern for your customers safety. What if I had been travelling to Grayling, like I planned to this summer, how far would I get with no oil and a visor that obstructed my view. MY LAST QUESTION IS WOULD ANY OF UHAULS EXECUTIVES TOLERATE THIS IF IT WAS YOUR FAMILY? DONT BLAME YOUR EMPLOYEES, THEYRE HANGING ONTO THEIR JOBS. SHAME ON YOU FOR ENDANGERING PE

The supplies I ordered were not at the first location u haul sent me to pick up the truck like they said they would be. When i ordered them from this location, along with the vehicle mover (since the towing dolly I ordered online was not available either), the guy at the counter forgot to load the additional supplies and I had to drive back in order to pick them up and be able to move my stuff. Not convenient for my time or gas and ended up being late dropping the truck back off because of it, which of course costs plenty of extra fees on top of the extra miles for the extra trip... And none of that is compensated for their mistakes.

I was told that when I returned the vehicle it should be at a certain gas level. When I returned the vehicle, then I was told that I had been given a different truck and that the gas level should be higher than what I was originally told. It may have been an honest mistake, but not a good business practice. Also, the vehicle did not have moving ramps with it. I thought that all U-haul trucks came with moving ramps.

Alexander/Dre was a great help and made the check-in quick, yet explained and highlighted all important aspects of renting a U-Haul. He also was patient and participated in conversation and laughter; which was awesome. He made my visit above average. The only down fall was dropping off the U-Haul. The space was limited and the trucks prior had not pulled up far enough; and a trailer near the entrance left little space to get through..therefore, I entered the exit and backed the truck into the front of the drop-off lane. That was the only downfall.

very quick pick up and drop off, good customer service and truck. and I kept it under $100. only thing I did not like was the truck only have 1/4 tank of gas, I would have preferred picking the truck up with a full tank. Thanks JT

Took 30 minutes to get help checking in the vehicle due to low staff, got accused of returning a filthy interior pickup truck wen I clearly ahowed the worker how filthy it was wen I first took the truck he said it was ok n was gna leave a note, wen I returned the truck the worker wasn't there I told him call the guy that seen the dirty truck n claimed he didn't have a fone, deffinately not a happy customer especially for only renting the truck for 3 hours n out 30 miles on it to move a couple couches

Guessing how much gas to put back into the truck so it reads 7/8 is a pain. It would be easier to receive the truck full and return it full. Sure I could put in more gas, but since I don't know what size tank that could be quite a few bucks.

Have more than one store associate. The wait was very long (30-45minute) because there was only one person working.

The inside of the trailer was a little dirty. I had to put packing paper on the ground and the walls got dirt all over my white bed frame. Overall it was a good experience, though. The gentleman that hooked the trailer up for me was very professional and kind.
