There didn't seem to be enough people there to help customers, and so there was a lot of waiting when I dropped off. Also, a bit of grid lock as your parking lot doesn't direct drivers where to leave their vehicles.

Wanted to charge me for a gash in the upper part of the side of the truck that I wasn't responsible for. Luckily, I had SafeMove and so I wasn't charged, but still there was no way that I was responsible for that damage.

I was told when I initiated my pod rental contract that I had a guaranteed delivery date of November 7th. I went to this Uhaul 3 days prior to confirm the arrival date and was told that the pod should arrive "sometime on the 7th", and that I would be contacted when it arrived. By 3pm on the 8th, I still had not been contacted about my pod. When I called the facility, the woman who answered stated that according to the computer my pod wasn't due to arrive until the 9th at noon. When I told her it was supposed to have arrived on the 7th, she said she had no idea if it was there or not and that she would have to get the manager to call me back. When he called, he said that the pod had arrived the day prior (on the 7th) and that their computers said I was scheduled to pick it up at 4pm on the 8th (i.e. right during this phone call).. I told him that I had never been informed of its arrival and hadn't made any reservations to pick it up yet. He blamed it all on the call center. I then made an appointment to pick up the pod the next morning at 9am when they opened. I arrived at 9:10 and there was only one employee working. I waited 15min before he could assist me, and he then told me that he wasn't certified to operate the forklift and the manager, the only one certified, was "running late", and he had no idea when she would arrive. She didn't arrive until close to 10am, which is when I discovered that the pod hadn't even been prepped for transport. It was still buried in their storage room with a bunch of other pods. I had to wait another 35min AFTER she arrived until I could drive off with the pod (in a rented Uhaul pick-up filled with water from yesterday's rain). All-in-all I wasted 95min of my time just to pick up the pod. And as I was backing the pod into my garage to unload it, I get a phone call from Uhaul asking me when I was planning to pick up the pod since my scheduled pick-up time had already passed!?!? Overall, a horrible experience at the Renton facility... although I do have to say that the poor employee who was stuck working by himself that morning (since his manager couldn't be bothered to come to work on time) was extremely helpful and apologetic.

I have a suggestion. When I returned the truck late in the evening I discovered that my car was boxed in by other renters. The store owner drove 35 minutes to the store to move trucks out of the way, which was commendable. I suggest putting signs on the lane next to the parked cars after hours that says to park returning trucks in the back and don't box cars in. People don't remember instructions giving to them prior to moving their belongings. With this change I would recommend this facility. Thanks!

Make sure that trucks used for trips across country are checked as indicated... the oil light came on during the first day of trip and had to stop in Montana to have oil applied. I was not happy!

The truck tires were worn, and had NO traction. I live on a hill, and the truck's tires spun and could not gain traction in reverse. We had to drive down the hill, get a running start, and eventually had to park the truck nose in, and even then the tires had a tough time getting traction. The whole way to and from the U-haul center, even as we were just diving regularly, the tires would spin on the slightest hill. We almost were not able to make it up the hill on 4th Avenue where the U-haul location is, the tires kept going out as we drove up the hill. This was dangerous, and unacceptable. If I had been going any farther than just down the road, I would have had to return the truck.

Only issue was that one strap that ties in wheels (tow dolly) was much shorter than the other. Had to go but a 2" tow strap (after I was at location loading truck on trailer dolly) to affix to the short strap to winch to lock in front tire! I called it in to manager as soon as I discovered too short strap. The manager deducted the price of the tow strap from rental. He was very cool about it. I will rent there again.

Make sure your manager shows up on time. I rented on 11/1/14 probably the most busy time of the month for U-Haul i imagine. The store hours say open at 7:00 am. She showed up at 8:00 without as much as a sorry im late. I stood out there freezing my ass off for an hour and would have at least expected an apology. NOT. Customer service goes a long way with me....i'll use another company next time.
