The process was very unorganized. I waited over 40 minutes to get my vehicle. The first vehicle was blocked in and the rep wasn't able to access it, so after signing all the paperwork we had to change trucks which was parked in a different lot. I was told the vehicle had 1/4 tank; wrong when I took the keys and started the truck the low fuel light was on and the cargo area was filled with debris. Mind you I was renting this vehicle to salvage my furniture and other items from my apartment that was destroyed in a tornado last thing I wanted was to have to worry that my items would get damaged/dirty from your vehicle. What redeemed all of that was the representatives great customer service and how he genuinely seemed to be sorry for the inconvenience. At the storage site the customer service rep was also excellent and very helpful and accommodating.

You should disconnect your business from these awful people and refuse to allow them to act as your agents. They were incredibly discourteous, rude to me and my mother (who came along to help with the move), took forever to get the truck, and for some reason GOT ANGRY with me when I pointed out that the 10' truck they gave me was not the 9' cargo van that I reserved. The fact that I didn't get a van is somewhat minor and might not have been their fault. I was really annoyed by the way they handled it, though; having a truck instead of a van was a huge inconvenience requiring me to buy some new equipment (e.g., a padlock) and change my expected route because trucks can't go on a lot of roads. But whatever, I could handle that. What I did NOT expect was for the manager to become angry at me for expressing some basic and polite confusion when he told me he would be giving me a van, after I inquired whether it would be possible to fix the situation. I saw him treat several other customers the same way while I was there, and indeed I then checked Yelp and this location has among the worst reviews I've ever seen of any service rated on Yelp. You are really damaging your reputation as a company by associating with these awful people. On top of that, the right rear view mirror was broken when we picked up the truck. Again, probably not his fault, although it did make driving unsafer. But more annoying is that I asked twice whether he had made sure to notate somewhere that the car was already damaged when we picked it up, and he said yes, but when I arrived and dropped the car off there was no record of the damage, causing me to receive an "accident report" even though I was in no way responsible for the damage. (Insurance covered it, but I still find it hugely annoying — he kept pressuring me to sign all the paperwork when I picked up the car, never explaining what any of it was and then apparently lying to me when I asked whether the documents for the damage were in order.) Seriously — I have never had a more frustrating experience with what I expected to be a reputable company. You are hurting your company every day that you continue to associate with these people.

Make sure you know exactly where you are going to drop off a one-way rental. You will get hit with a large 'incorrect destination' charge if you don't drop it exactly where they want it. U-Haul picked a spot for us, but did not effectively notify us of that fact, and we had to dispute said charge. They were good about reversing the charge, but it was a hassle to get there. Be Warned.

You should not charge people for things they didn't request (and signed wavers that they don't want them), you should be upfront with your costs, you should not tell them they can pay cash only to have their credit card charged, you can train your employees so they c an tell how much you are being charged, you can give up trying to reach the owner (because you are given phone numbers that nobody answers and you leave messages that never get returned), you should increase the cooperation between the location's owner and U-Haul itself because even when you find the owner and explain the experience and ask for credit for things you should not have been charged for without your consent only to be given a phone number that you cannot reach anyone at and your calls are not returned, and you can find a different way of moving your stuff because using a U-Haul (especially from this location) is a rip-off. A day later, I still don't know how much I got charged and for what, and why I was charged for an insurance that I signed a waver and have a receipt showing that I declined. But no worries. If one of the 2 people I left messages for (the owner of the place and the U-Haul), I will dispute the charge with the credit card company, and call the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office. This location needs to be shut down before more people get ripped-off.

The truck's loading door jammed at one point and roadside assistance had to be called. They were useless - I ended up fixing the door myself.

1) You may want to make sure the equipment reserved is actually in the reserved vehicle. 2) When informing a customer that he needs to go to another U-Haul site to get the previously reserved equipment that accurate directions are given. 3) In cases where the wrong directions are given out to pick up equipment at another U-Haul location the customer should not be charged for the extra gas costs.

They did not know how to hook up a trailer to a car. The first one I hooked up(by myself) had no tail light. Next one I hooked up, found out it had a mattress in the back left from last person. Still don't understand my bill and how a $18.95 rental for one day turned into $50 for one day.

We had asked for furniture pads and an appliance dolly, but they did not have any when we got there. They seem to offer a lot of services: shuttle, rentals, etc., so we had to wait for the shuttle driver to come back to get the rental. Just a lot going on, so I felt bad for the guy working, but still not a great service experience.

When I got to my location to load truck I found a broken refrigerator. I spoke with Uhaul representative and her option were to return back (about 40 minutes) so they could take it out, but still expected me to return truck at same time (impossible task with limited time!). When I told her I would not be able to return due to time, her response was "What do you expect me to do then?". It was extremely rude. She finally said she would take off $10 off if I disposed of it, which I agreed. But on my bill they are still charging me full amount. Customer service was not good at all. Very surprised since I've always had great experiences using Uhaul for moving.

They charged my Credit card 3 times for 3 diferente amounts, still haven't received my money back. Went to the location and they only said to call the manager! Not even said sorry or help me at all. Very bad coustomer service.

Upon receiving my bill, I found that I was charged for an extra day without authorization. In addition, I was charged for usage of a dolly and of furniture blankets. I did not use either of these things...in fact, there was no dolly in the truck, period. I am a teacher and was picking up supplies to use in my school with this truck, and I feel completely scammed by this location. Will not use them again.
