We were told to reserve a truck, and that doing so would let us have a free storage space. We were not told to reserve a storage space. This made things more difficult then they needed to be for us, no 24 hour spaces were available on the day we rented the truck which was what we were planning around. On the other hand everyone was very nice and helpful, just wish we'd known about reserving a storage space. That part sucked.

Overall, good customer service, good communication. The vehicle was practically new and operated well. The back was spotless but the passenger area was sticky on the floor, and had an odor of cigarette smoke. This was obviously from previous user. The personnel at this location were helpful and courteous.

I was an hour late bringing the truck back because my move took longer than I anticipated. I was moving to a 3rd floor apartment and going up and down those stairs just took a lot longer than I thought. The lady who called me from the store to remind me the truck was due back was fairly rude during our conversation. I understand the need to track down equipment and make sure everything is ready for the next customer, but there should be a little bit of understanding from the employees that sometimes moving doesn't go as planned and if the truck is still filled with my stuff there is only so much I can do. Keeping me on the phone to explain that other customers are waiting is actually taking up more of my time that I could be using to unload the truck and get it back to you.

The attendant inside was extremely rude and provided very poor customer service . Her attitude and demeanor was below the typical reproach of a customer- employee interaction. Safe to say I will not be returning to this location again

I Was the 1st person there @7 am. Very fast check out. I reserved the entire 24hrs but they wanted a return time. I said maybe 3 he said 4 and put it on the paper wk. I wasn't able to return until 530. I had to call so they could make note of this. Overall was a smooth experience. However, I made a reservation for exactly one month later the same day that I made this reservation. When I called to extend the return time. The one mo later reservation could not be found. The lady put in another reservation for the next mo and told me I would receive an email confirmation. A day later the first rental receipt is in my inbox....no confirmation of the 2nd reservation? ???

There were pads and a dolly in the truck that I did not reserve. The staff left them in the truck, but sealed them so I could not use them without paying--I would rather the staff take them out of the truck so they didn't take up space and be unavailable to me without me incurring another rental fee.

The seated area of the truck smelled horrible. While the service I received from each individual was excellent, it was quite obvious that Uhaul does not maintain the cleanliness of its trucks.

The rental truck that I received, was dangerously low on engine oil. The low oil light came on, so I had to stop, check the level and add 4quarts of oil. Which set me back from my schedule arrival time. I am very disappointed that I received a vehicle with no oil in it, the situation could have been a lot worse.

Chose one location for pick up. Went there and had the pre-rental inspection performed. Two days later, received a confirmation call and scheduled my arrival time. Went to location at appointed time only to be told the trailer wasn't there and that I had to go to another location. Didn't know where that location was but found it, fortunately. Went in and presented the paperwork directly to the clerk. He sent me outside to meet with a helper. Helper showed me one trailer then hooked up a different trailer. Instead of checking the lights before doing the hook up, the helper connected the hitch and put on the safety chains. After connecting the lights, they didn't work. He said, "We've been trying to fix this trailer for a week." He then proceeded to hook up the first trailer. I suggested he try the lights before going through the entire process again. Now that the trailer was connected and everything was working, I had to go back inside and meet with the clerk again. Of course, by this time, I wasn't the only customer there. I had to wait in line for him to help five other customers who came in after me. Why couldn't my paperwork have been processed when I arrived?!?! It was now 58 minutes after my appointed pick up time. Fortunately, the trailer performed well on its 800-mile journey. I chose a drop-off spot near my final destination. I was told to drop off the trailer at another location. I went online to find out where that place was and its operating hours. Operating hours weren't listed, so I tried to call. No answer on Saturday. I called the toll-free number and was told I needed to contact the scheduling department to drop it off at a location that was open on Sunday. During the call transfer, I got cut off. I called back, explained situation to a different associate. This one gave me the scheduling number before trying to transfer. Got cut off again, but called scheduling directly. Associate who answered said, "I don't know why he told you to call me. You need to speak with the local drop off location. I already told him that." I explained I got cut off, so the associate wasn't able to tell me that. Scheduling transferred my call to the closed location. The phone was answered by a machine that told me to hold on until someone could assist me. That wouldn't be possible until Monday morning (it was now Saturday afternoon). I hung up and went online to U-Haul.com to see if I could make the change online as it states in the contract. Web site said error occurred and to try back later. After a 30-minute wait, same thing. So I tried to use the online chat feature. Explained the situation all over again. Online chat associate told me the scheduling number I was given was incorrect and she gave me another number. She said I should ask to speak with a supervisor since the first scheduling person couldn't help me. After speaking to two additional folks at this new number, the final person told me I could d

Great location, but I arrived within 10 minutes of closing time, and personnel were clearly irritated and dismissive. Because they were "closing soon," they would not review my contract with me and the equipment I was returning, and they indicated I should just leave the keys to the Uhaul and it would be processed in the morning.

Uhaul trucks were all backed up to the point where you couldn't even turn in. Service was incredibly slow.
