Not charge the customers debit card when the manager tells the customer the card is only to hold a reservation and no money will be taken out until the truck is returned. Especially, after the customer has not signed a receipt for the transaction (fraud) and finds out days later the card to "hold" charges was charged and the customers family member's card, which was to actually pay for the truck, was also charged. In addition, when you debit money from the customer's card, the credit should not be issued to their family member's card, which should not have been asked for in the first place because you withdrew the money from the 1st card given, the hold card. Also, when people are moving they are on schedules and time frames. Customers do not have time to sit and wait for slow transactions because the manager is talking sports with another customer. What's the point of setting a time frame for pick up if you will not leave out of the office until 30 minutes later? Providing good customer service does include building rapport and finding a common ground, understood, but it also consists of respecting all customers time and being able to, at some point, redirect the conversation back to the transaction to complete a service and assist the next customer. An additional person with your customer at the register should not have to bring it to the managers attention that other customers are waiting. Blaming the computer being slow in my opinion, was an excuse to prolong the sports talk because there was no consistent plucking going on, on the computer keys/no investigative scenario going on to attempt to try to enhance all customer's experience. If a customer tells you the money has been withdrawn from their account and the transaction that you, the manager, conducted was not a soft hold, you, the manager, may want to listen. Money out of my account is not a soft hold, it's a hard post. Don't debate that with the customer. If it were only an authorization/soft hold, any reasonable person would not call you. Everyone knows a soft hold/authorization will fall off. No one will waste time calling about something that has not truly impacted their financial situation.

I rented a 17' truck. When first getting into the truck was overpowered by smell of cigarette smoke. The inside was sticky and the ABS brake light was on and did not go off. I returned to the store and requested a different truck. The 2nd truck had a faint odor but was covered up with a carpet cleaner smell. Once the truck was 10 miles down the road the cigarette smell and the carpet cleaner smell became overpowering. The transmission made a loud whine when changing gears. I was afraid to drive this truck for any distance especially on the interstate. I got to my home and called to let them know that I was bringing the truck back. I got someone to follow me back to the rental location where I was charged $83 for a truck that I could not use. The employee that looked at the truck upon my return to was rude and did not want to discuss my issues with the truck. I would never recommend renting a truck from this location and will certainly let anyone and everyone know of the experience I had here.

mileage cost is too expensive; it's deceiving to see $19.95 price and then find out it's an additional .89/mile. And the latch on my truck broke off; luckily, it was not when the truck was full since everything would have spilled out onto 95!

Walter was excellent when I picked up the van in the morning....very knowledgeable,honest and friendly.....Nate checked me out on the return....came out quickly to greet at the van...offered an online receipt there but I needed one to take home so he easily did it inside and I was on my way....smooth experience all the way....UHAUL is my go to place...thanks

This was the worst experience I have Ever with ANY company I have Wvwr dealt with. The associates were incompetent. I just recently moved out of the state, and that itself was delayed due to one of the Oh so smart associates Renting out my equipment that I had a reservation for ... I'm turn I was sent to two additional Uhauls, because of the many errors that occurred at the Broad street store. My trip ended up delayed, by at least two hours.. I had to waste additional gas of MY OWN because I had to Literally drive my own truck to The other two locations.. and then to add insult to injury I get AN EMAIL, not a professional call, but an Email basically saying "sorry we f---ed up, but hey here is a $50 coupon for you to spend more money at our unprofessional, establishment filled with people who don't know a thing about what they are doing.. So that was a COMPLETE slap in the face, and this is not over. I have NEVER and I repeat Never had to go through such... And I hope moone else has to either. This is not over.. I will reach out to the news. People need to hear about this!

Improve mileage on trucks, maybe offer unlimited mileage like other companies do. These trucks are terrible on Gas and Mileage. I will never use UHaul again, I mean never. Bunch of crooks!
