Have more customer-service workers available to help customers when many people are moving at the same time (e.g. June 30 or July 1). Actually, I was completely pleased with the price, service, equipment, and Todd - the customer service rep who assisted me in renting the 10-foot truck I used in moving within the Rochester area. Thanks for a very easy move!

I received a text that truck available 12:00 PM July 1st. I called the store at 10:30 to confirm and the girl said "you can come now " When I arrived at 11:30 truck not ready. I found out the A/C did NOT work - No fan. The bigger issue was that the truck was NOT maintained and it felt as though the engine was going to fall out according to my mechanic friend. I returned truck at 3:00 PM July 1st 2015 as He recommended that I return it. I did NOT trust renting another dangerous truck and said cancell all reservations. I found out yesterday that I also got charged two more days even after I personally handed the key to the U - Haul employee inside the store on July 1st, 2015 and with all the cameras around I find it reprehensible that the employees not only rented are highly dangerous vehicle that could have resulted in someone's death - they also added insult to injury charging me 2 additional days - really ?

The staff did as best as they could under the situation. Problems: 1) I requested on line that I could pick the truck up at the Brockport, NY location. 40 min. drive one way to get the truck at your Ridge Road location. 2) Truck was in an accident the night before pickup time. Although they were aware of the situation, they failed to make me aware of the problem. I was told when I showed up for 9 am pickup. Had to wait 2 Hrs for another truck. 3) While traveling to TN, out of the blue the truck's brake failure warning Lights and alarm (loud) came on. I pulled over and visually checked things (leaks, fluid level, etc) but nothing was obvious. I called your roadside service number and was instructed to proceed to the next exit. Got there and called again (20 min. hold time) and was connected with a helpful gentleman (James?) and he told me that this was a common problem with the GMC trucks (how nice). Then he instructed me as to how to reset the alarm (turn the wheel left, then right, and then drive ahead 100 yards). The lights and alarm (did I say loud?) finally went away. A bit disconcerting to say the least. No other problems occurred but I guess that's enough........

Ac didn't work well. iPhone plug didn't work either. Tow downshifted the truck into third regularly when not necessary causing rpms to max. Very uncomfortable and stressful during hill ascents and descents

I rented a trailer to go from ny to Alabama , was charged $80 when I get to Alabama a day early they tell me I now have to pay $800 n I can't rent no more from u haul , there was no communication from this location why I was being charged this much , I hope someone can help this isn't fair .

The workers at this location went out of their way to try to find a solution for us when your phone agents were COMPLETELY unsympathetic to the predicament you put us in (I didn't even get an, "I'm sorry ma'am" out of ANYONE on the phone) and were ultimately able to come up with a 17' truck that someone had called to cancel, as well as shaving $0.20 off the mileage, whereas the asshat on the phone was completely unwilling to do ANYTHING to compensate us for our trouble. If this location were NOT a U-haul location I would certainly recommend it to people, but from now on we will only ever consider U-haul if Budget, Penske, or DeCarolis have nothing available, and we will be CERTAIN to tell anyone who asks us about U-haul of our ordeal.

Proration of equipment time not well explained, looked like I was going to have to pay for 3 days use. Equipment was clean but very heavily damaged (dents, ripped weather seal, side rail bumpers falling off).

There was a sign to pull up and wait for someone to check in the equipment. I waited for 15 minutes. Some people came after me and went into the store and seemed to get checked in before me. I finally went into the store and all that they needed from me was the keys. This check in system did not seem efficient or clear enough to me.

This location seems to be a victim of its own success. When you book a truck for 24 hour rental, then you expect to have the truck for 24 hours. When I picked up my truck at 4:30 pm on Friday, I was told that I had to have it back by 8 am on Saturday. He said his location was TOO BUSY to guarantee 24 hour rentals. I responded that my friends, who were to helping me move, had PLANNED to meet me at 9 am to help me move my stuff into my new place. The Uhaul employee then told me that I didn't have until 4 pm on Saturday, as I was led to believe when I agreed to the contract. I had to argue with this employee that there was no way that I could have the truck back by 8 am, especially since I had no indication that this was my returning time. I told him that if I had known that I could have rent the truck for only 16 hours, I would have preferred to pick my truck up on Saturday morning instead. I managed to get this Uhaul employee to "allow" me to keep the truck until noon as a "compromise". Moving is already a stressful event but when a truck rental company pays lip service to commitments only amps up the stress level...unnecessarily. I will say that the location was doing very brisk business and indeed was busy, but from now on it will be one customer less busy because I sincerely plan to take my business elsewhere.

When I picked up in the morning the older gentleman who assisted me was very polite and professional when I returned in the evening there was a very unprofessional employee working who seemed to be in a rush to leave I arrived in enough time to checkout. He had about 7customers in line so what he did was went out to read my mileage came back inside because my son was unloading maybe another 2boxes to the storage room he than told me he couldn't check me out until I was completed he also refused to help me tape up a box because one broke inside the uhaul and caused a mess so long story short when I cleaned up the mess briefly and reboxed my items I went to check out it was 6:55pm he had locked the doors and told me threw the door ".sorry maam we're closed you need to come back in the morning " and told me that it was to late I'd be charged an additional day I could take the truck back if I needed, sorry but he made uhaul look very unprofessional it's a field of customer service and his was very poor unfortunately I had to report him to corperate office because we have reservations again in a few weeks. I'm spending hundreds of dollars I expect better service.

Several individuals at the shop were very helpful. One individual that was assisting me appeared to be feeling ill and was not the friendliest of individuals. He got me going just fine but his interpersonal approach could have been better.

Monitor the dropoff location so customer does not need to come into the building. Also, equip customer service personnel with portable receipt printers like the car rental companies use. In other words, speed up the return process!

The truck that I reserved was not available when I called two days prior to picking up. I was told they had nothing available but then she said she had a larger truck. We were coming from Cincinnati so this was very stressful to hear. And online it stated that I had a truck reserved just the location had to be confirmed. They didn't have the pads or dolly on my order when I got there that I reserved online. But in the end everything was good!
