Have made good progress in the past five years. I know you would all like a larger lot for trucks, trailers, cars etc. Congested now! Liked being able to check in via a website. A big time saver.

We had a reservation, there were several clerks in the store, and everything was still moving really slow. It took about 20 minutes and after waiting so long, our agent rushed our questions and I believe we weren't given a lot of information.

I was charged an extra fee for fuel even though it was brought back at the same level and I was not told by the person that dI'd the final check. Found when I got the email receipt. Would have appreciated being told upfront -- then I could have simply add a little bit more fuel. Called the uhaul straightaway but they didn't waive the fee.

If you look in the records for my reservation you will see I was stuck with the truck for almost an hour because I could not get the key to turn or the steering column unstuck. Turns out you had to have the key just right and turn the wheel and have the brake pressed, something that the U-Haul representative should have shown me if you decided to continue using this "tricky" truck. Instead I was in the truck for 15 min, sweating in extreme heat, on the phone with roadside assistance trying to get the car started and it completely threw off my schedule, resulting in my having to extend my rental to another day - which I then got charged for on top of all my trouble. Not to mention that it wasn't even U-Haul's roadside assistance that could help me - their "affiliate" texted me a wait time of 60 minutes... I'm not in the sticks I expected something a lot quicker. In the meantime I got total strangers to help and even a large, capable man struggled with the ignition until he got it "just right" because he had a lot of experience driving trucks. I'm also really disappointed in this particular location as I called them before closing time trying to arrange to switch out the truck if this one wouldn't turn on and nobody picked up. I asked roadside/customer service to send them a message about contacting me for an exchange and nobody ever contacted me. Tried to call the next day to extend my rental and nobody picked up on location yet again. There is no organization to how the staff deals with customers at this location. This is the third time I'm renting with U-Haul but it very well might be my last.

The guy who took care of check me in had a very bad day. No greeting no eye contact no answer for my two questions ( very sad individual) . The guy who took care of me at the end of the day was great. He was very helpful and polite. Every other personnel just were trying to hide to get to 7 o'clock closing.

Manager Allen posts his cell phone number for customers to contact him but he does not answer nor does he return customer phone calls. He is unprofessional and that U-Haul location is a disaster. I am done with U-Haul after this.

The previous week I rented a cargo van from this same location online. Everything went great. This week I called to see if I could get a truck for two days since it wasn't an option online. When I called the representative at this U-Haul told me that wasn't possible and if I want a guaranteed reservation (meaning reservations done online are not guarantee) I would need to call. I called back in less than 5 minutes.toI reserve a 10 foot truck Friday through Saturday. When I get there Friday the representative told me that my reservations was Thursday thru Friday, And all they had was a pickup truck. I even called the general manger of this location and I have not gotten a call back.

Im not very business minded, but I think you people have a good service...the truck I drove was in excellent condition, I had options for hand trucks to load and unload, wrappings, boxes, even got a couple used ones free, it was good service...thank you..

There should be more cashiers available during peak periods. I went twice, once to make the reservation and Sunday morning to pick up the truck. The line was particularly long on Sunday notwithstanding the fact that I got there shortly after opening. Someone in line told me that it was because ( in part) it was the end of the month and people are moving in or out of apartments then. Why doesn't the Rockville office of U-Haul know that ? I was very satisfied with the rest of my experience with U-Haul.

I made a reservation online three days ahead of time and when I picked up the vehicle they claimed they didn't have the hand cart I reserved with the vehicle. You should not reserved what you don't have.

My overall experience was terrible. I reserved a 10 foot truck at this location and when I arrived they told me that they moved my pickup location. They said they called me the night before and left a voicemail but I had no missed calls or voicemails. We scheduled a one way and when we dropped it off the location told me I can drop it off at a new location. I had to argue with the worker for 45 minutes. They also wouldn't let us book the truck for one day as we intended and had to pay for a minimum of 2. Finally, I got a quote online that they said they would honor that included mileage, environmental fee, and insurance but they made us buy an additional $30 insurance when we arrived. We moved 2 couches and it would have been cheaper to hire movers at the end of the day.
