We reserved the trailer to be picked up in Castleton, but were redirected to Rutland via the confirmation e-mail the day prior to the rental. If I hadn't carefully read the e-mail, we would not have known that the location had been changed. This was more distant. We would have appreciated notification that the equipment was not available at the location on the reservation.

Waited at station for assistance. Employee came out and said you will get a reciept via email and walked away. Sunday (next day) got a phone call from Rutland wanting to know when truck was going to be returned.

I will never use uhaul again, and I will make sure that everyone that I know hears my story from this encounter with uhaul. I reserved a 26ft truck, was confirmed to be receiving this size and received an email stating that my order was placed (3 weeks in advanced). I was then told that I would have no contact with the company until the day prior to my move, when I would receive a message confirming my pick up location. That was the only thing that turned out to be true. I did receive a text stating pick up in new haven, vt at 11 am on 10/4. I called the following day and was told that they had a truck, but 20ft. I contacted customer service and spoke with the most rude, unhelpful and angry person named Emily. I asked to speak to her supervisor after she told me that there was in fact, no truck for me in new haven and no 26 foot truck available within 80 miles of my location. Of course she was the supervisor. Disgusting behavior. I am embarrassed for you for having such people in supervisory positions. Certainly not winning any customers back with that one. I am disappointed in the lack of communication from uhaul. That I was never contacted that I would not have access to the equipment that I had requested and planned on utilizing. Emily offered me the only 20ft truck available to me, 40 minutes to my south. She offered no other help or considerations. After additional phone calls to customer service, I was given contact information for Jessica, an executive assistant. She had no information available as to why I had never been contacted regarding the equipment that I requested, or why the pick up location assigned to me told me I had a truck waiting for me, but actually had none. She was kind enough to confirm my rental in Rutland, since I had my doubts at the point, and added a 6x12ft trailer to my order free of charge. I was also told that I would need to return the truck to Rutland, an hour and a half trip from my new location. I did not have any other option. After speaking with Jessica I thought about the miles/gas that would needed to make the pick up, move and drop off and became concerned by the thought of how much that would end up costing me. I tried to call Jessica back, but instead got a man named David. He was very understanding and said I had to return the rental to the pick p location, but would include extra miles at no charge to my rental... To total 100 uncharged miles. I went to pick up my rental on the morning of the 4th in Rutland. They told me that my rental would be $120 instead of the daily rate of $40, plus $14 insurance and tax that I had ordered and that had been confirmed to me. I would be able to drop the truck off in New Haven after my move though. I was also informed that my rental would not include the 100 miles promised because they could not offer them on my rental. I was completely confused and concerned, as this was the opposite of what I had spent hours working out with customer service the day prior

I waited an hour and a half to get my trailer. I was originally charged twice as much for a 24 hour period. Customer service was poor. There were swear words coming out of the employees mouth consistently. I had my 2 kids with me and they had to hear all out it. I use Uhaul a lot, and I have never had an experience like this. I expect some sort of reimbursement

Get a new database system that enables you to keep proper track of your vehicles so you can deliver what you promise. It is ridiculous and annoying to show up for a 24 foot vehicle only to be told nothing above 17' is available. Also, I was promised the trailer that was given to increase the size of the vehicle offered would be free, but it was charged. I should not have to chase you too get the deal agreed. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

Trucks front end was all messed up trying to drive down the road was awful and when I tryed to call road side Asst. Thay kept hanging up on me ..... And when I asked for a discount I was told no. ... It was a waste of $88.00 . ... .

Better maintenance of vehicles. Brakes made odd noises when turning and pushing brakes. dome lights didn't work. radios are horrible. we used for long drive of 850 miles and without a radio it was bad. create checklist to ensure customer doesn't leave without dollies and furniture blankets etc.

These questions are quite broad, so I had to answer NO to the equipment, as it was not swept out upon my rental, though the truck drove really smoothly. I answered yes to "would I recommend this location to a friend, as I have spoken to Jeff gilus the field manager and we discussed the fuel level not being correct as the contract stated 5/8's it was 3/8's full at pick up time and standard procedures were not followed in this rental experience. All customers should be asked "have you rented from us before" and if not given a few extra moments. The standard clipboard check list was never offered to me or I did not know it was even available, until speaking with Jeff about procedures and he will be addressing that with his staff at that site. After talking with Jeff, I am more likely to rent again and know to ask for the customer walk around should the a clip list deturmine that there a discrepancy that relating to standard procedure for U-haul. Talking with Jeff gave me more confidence in the U-haul company's goal, as he put the customer first, and listened to my feedback from the experience I encountered. He is in the process of correcting the issues that came about from not following standard procedures at this location and I appreciate that as I have owned my own bussiness and how comunications with customer and staff is key.
