I used the internet to pick the truck size I needed; but I was wrong. I had to exchange it in Salisbury. .and they were AMAZING!!!! I think her name was Yvonne. . she worked in the back-office and went Above and Beyond!!! This is the 4th or 5th time I have rented from the Salisbury location and they have all been excellent. My latest was a cargo van rental to move a bedroom set to our summer home. The van was brand new and in excellent condition with only 1,234 miles on it. Everything went great once again. David J.

The 800 number messed up my rental contract, giving me all the wrong information!!!!! However Darryl at the uhaul in Salisbury was excellent!!!!! He was able to come up with a great solution!!! So while I was not happy with the over all experience, Daryl went up and beyond to fix the issues. What a waste of time going through reservations at the 800 number!!!!

I had a couple problems. One was with my scheduled reservation. I reserved a 20foot truck for 7:30am but when I got there they said it was an 8:30 reservation for a 26foot truck. The truck was horribly maintained and hard to drive.

The guy who took care of us seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. It took him 20 minutes to find a wiring harness for us and when we got it home it wasn't even the right one so we went to a different uhaul location and had to pay another $90 to have the right one installed. I hate to say it but he looked like he was on drugs and when we handed him the money to pay for it he couldn't count how much was there.

TPMS was on on van with 50 miles on it...had 50 lb less air in each rear tire and 20 less in each front...dropped van off a few hours later....was instructed via phone to visit store in AM..I was greeted by Stepahnie who had a serious attitude..would not give me credit for inconvenience as the notes on my account from PM before indicated...I have documentation via photo that I brought the van back with excact gas it left with..I was accused of bringing it back with too low of gas..that I never called PM before,,because there were no notes (there were notes)...She refused to look at the photo I took of dashboard when returning van.basically said I was lying about the tires and told me to leave the store..I DID get angry when she did that and I called her a Bitch ( 15 minutes after we started) and she said she was calling the police on me...absolutely insane This girl Stefanie is a liability to your company...I am a business man who tried to have patience but she had it in her mind that my ticket was closed out and she was doing NOTHING for me..period..her facial expressions and condescending attitude were totally unprofessional..I could never go back in that place again.... I've had multiple experiences where the rental truck is supplied with just over a 1/4 tank of fuel. It is irritating because if the truck is left with just under a 1/4 tank then there is a $30 fee on top of the $5 per gallon charge. If the truck is supplied with just over a 1/2 tank and it's returned with just under then the $30 fee does not apply. By providing trucks with 1/4 tank of fuel, the renter is required to guess how much fuel they will use for the day, go and buy fuel before they use the truck for long and then refill again. If the trucks were supplied full or at least 1/2 full, then it would be more likely that you could complete your route without getting gas twice and only need to stop at the end to top it back off without worrying about getting charged a $30 fee. The extra gas trip is aggravating when driving a large truck that you aren't used to driving in a location that you aren't very familiar with.

I did have to make a correction online to 2 days. The person I talked with was a bit hard to understand, but not a problem. The contract said 3/4 of tank of gas at pick up, but was less than half, but put a note at drop off. They updated that with no problem. I use U-Haul every year for my art show and very satisfied!

The only problem I had was with poor customer service. The equipment was adequate. The people who answer the phones at the call center need to be better trained in customer service. I'm a customer service phone call trainer, and would be more then happy to give you some pointers. I had an issue and needed some help but the staff on the phone where VERY unwilling to try and help me. My problems where NOT at store level it was with the call center.

We reserved a pick-up truck but the previous renters did not return the truck for the date we had reserved it. So the local U-Haul manager offered us a cargo van at the same rate as a pick-up. All worked out.

Walked in to the location with two employees at front desk. When we approached them, one did not look up from her phone. The other employee was attentive. Then asked to use the bathroom, and again she didn't even look up from her phone and pointed to the bathroom. While this is not so much of a complaint, I do believe customer service professionalism needs to be beefed up a bit.

you can get a clue. I was told to call 24 hours ahead and my box would be ready, I did it wasn't , you people suck, and I will never do business with u haul again. This was the last inciident in a long line of failures with this move from Az. Enough!
