I did have to make a correction online to 2 days. The person I talked with was a bit hard to understand, but not a problem. The contract said 3/4 of tank of gas at pick up, but was less than half, but put a note at drop off. They updated that with no problem. I use U-Haul every year for my art show and very satisfied!

The only problem I had was with poor customer service. The equipment was adequate. The people who answer the phones at the call center need to be better trained in customer service. I'm a customer service phone call trainer, and would be more then happy to give you some pointers. I had an issue and needed some help but the staff on the phone where VERY unwilling to try and help me. My problems where NOT at store level it was with the call center.

We reserved a pick-up truck but the previous renters did not return the truck for the date we had reserved it. So the local U-Haul manager offered us a cargo van at the same rate as a pick-up. All worked out.

The big issue with Salisbury is under-staffing on the weekends. Sometimes just person behind the counter with long lines. Very frustrating!

Walked in to the location with two employees at front desk. When we approached them, one did not look up from her phone. The other employee was attentive. Then asked to use the bathroom, and again she didn't even look up from her phone and pointed to the bathroom. While this is not so much of a complaint, I do believe customer service professionalism needs to be beefed up a bit.

you can get a clue. I was told to call 24 hours ahead and my box would be ready, I did it wasn't , you people suck, and I will never do business with u haul again. This was the last inciident in a long line of failures with this move from Az. Enough!

Flawless experience from moment walked in door to moment returning car. Only other thing that may have helped would have been to one or two more additional customer service people working. It was a summer saturday morning and there was a little bit of a wait.

The trailer I rented was fine. I also have a storage unit at this facility and I have a complaint about that. I was urgently moving items to my unit when I discovered I can only get into the unit when the store is open. I called uhaul customer service to ask what would happen if I went in anyway and they said an alarm would sound. Which is true because I went into my unit anyway after they told me I couldn't be granted 24 hour access over the phone. I find that to be rediculous. And after opening my unit, the alarm went off after about a minute...and nothing ever came of it. No email, no phone call, no one to notify me that my unit could have been broken into after hours. I personally feel that you shouldn't be charging extra for 24 hour access, when a one minute alarm with no repercussion gets you the same thing.

There is NOTHING about U-Haul or this location (Salisbury, MA) that I can ask you to change or improve upon. I have been renting from U-Haul for about 35 years now (dozens of rentals of trailers and trucks) and you are by far the best. I wish the truck mileage charges could be less, but I do understand that goes to maintenance of them.

They couldn't supply the size truck I reserved. The truck was sluggish, didn't move out of 1st gear. The 1st floor storage container turned out to be on the second floor. They quoted me the wrong price. They couldn't make me an access card to get it. Still waiting for that.

I had entered all of the trip information in online when I reserved the truck including how many miles I was going to drive, return time etc, but was asked all of the information again when I went to pick up the truck and I dint have the specifics with me, not a big deal but a bit of an inconvenience. The truck smelled like a chemical toilet inside, but was clean, just smelled awful. When we retuned the truck there is a sign that stays "Stay with the vehicle someone will assist you shortly". After waiting 10 minutes and no one came out, we walked inside.

Vehicle had issues with starting and brakes. Warning lights and buzzers for primary brake were on and off the entire rental period. Called to inform UHaul of braking issues and not starting and got no help at all... had to wait at a service station for quite a while before vehicle would start.
