Make it a rule that no smoking is allowed in rentals. Other than the smell of stale cigarette smoke, great rental!

The worker who we got our truck from, Pablo Viverous, was rude and seemed uninterested in his job. He told us we had to return the truck early or he would charge us. He said they had double booked the truck and that it was our problem. I couldn't believe what he was saying.

I HAVE USED THIS LOCATION MANY TIMES AND THOUGHT IT TO BE ABOVE AVERAGE. ON THIS OCCASION SERVICE WAS SLOW, UNDERSTAFFED, ONE MAN TRAINING TWO OTHER MEN AT THE FRONT DESK......THE LINE OF PEOPLE GETTING LONGER AND LONGER, CASH DRAWER EMPTY AND MONEY BOX HAD TO BE COUNTED TWICE, ETC, ETC. VERY POOR SERVICE. WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDED AGAIN.

Our 1st truck was very dirty and the seat belt light was beeping. We returned it and our 2nd truck was filthy. The ash tray was filled to the top with ashes and there was dog hair every where and black sticky coffee down the side and floor.

If counter rep knows that a customer will be returning equipment near a closing hour/time - PLEASE PLEASE tell the customer (a) what the closing time is as a prompt; AND (b) what to do (locking equip up and dropping Key in Key Drop and location of Key Drop). Reassure customer that no additional charge will accrue if truck/equipment is waiting in the store dropoff area before store opens the next morning. This is a way to make the dropoff seamless. I did not know this until it happened to me and it distressed me a bit. However, counter rep was great about the check-in and I had good support from the techs in the lot (I had left an item for my bed frame in the truck and they had it). So it went well afterward, but I would have felt more calm if I had known after-hours procedure. Just a thought - not everything goes according to plan, and it's a Plan B. Otherwise, I've always liked people at this location - really good store.

Aug 16- Upon pickup for our truck rental we were told that the size we rented was not available until the afternoon so we went with a smaller sized truck as we had friends helping us move and needed the truck ASAP. Upon driving away I heard a rumbling, rolling sound in the back of the truck. It turns out the dolly was not strapped in and was rolling around. We returned the truck at 7:00 pm and the attendant on duty was helping another return outside of the office. By the time we were attended to it was 7:03. The attendant told us that the office was closed and that we needed to drop off the key through the key return. I told the attendant about the unstrapped dolly and that we didn't use it and asked if he wanted the back of the truck locked as the dolly was inside. He said no problem, there are cameras and had no worry about possible theft. I then asked if we were going to be charged for a second day now that the key had to be returned through the door slot. He said no, we shouldn't be charged. Upon receiving our bill, we were charged for 2 days along with 2 days of dolly use. I called the office to dispute the charges. 8.18 uhaul call to dispute trolley and extra day charges. spoke w jerritt (jarod) who told me a manager would be contacting me in 3-5 days. NO CONTACT within 3-5 days. 8.25 called store 801-266-3733 and was told I needed to be transferred. was then told that I need to talk to the manager of the store and was given this number. Donovan GM 801-671-0343 I called and left a message. I have since called and left another message for Donovan and he has not returned my call. Overall, I am VERY DISPLEASED with this UHAUL customer service and will continue to dispute these extra charges. I have used UHAUL in the past, but considering these poor efforts on the part of this UAHUL location I will consider other companies in the future and WILL NOT RECOMMEND this location to anyone.

We indicated that we needed an appliance dolly and when we arrived home and opened the back of the U-Haul the dolly was not there, resulting in another trip to the store to obtain the dolly. The girl at the desk was very helpful. It was just unfortunate and a loss of time as we had people waiting to load our belongings. Please remind your people to remind customers to open the back of the trucks etc. to make sure everything is included before they leave your property.

My reservation was for the 53rd and state location. When I went there the tow dolly was not available. In the words of Seinfeld, "you know how to take a reservation, you just don't know how to hold a reservation." I will be using your competitor next time.

They added 100 miles on to what I used ( I didn't catch this until I got home and looked at my emailed statement) adding $70 to my total due to mileage. Said they would try to fix it but couldn't guarantee it since the site was closed by the time I had gotten home.

They gave us a 17' truck when we reserved a 20' truck, I had to argue with the customer service representative for 20 minutes to get the truck we ordered.

My only problem was I reserved a 17' truck and they only had a 14' when I went to pick it up. As something similar seems to happened last time I rented I think this is expected behavior. I am not happy about that, but the manager was not there and the desk person was this is your only option.
