For the cost of this rental, the truck should have had a clean windshield. How hard is that? Place did seem under-staffed at the time. It was a great truck - very new and made for an easy trip.

I reserved an appliance dolly thru the website but when I showed up the people ahead of me rented the dolly. I was told they were out of them. I feel that it should've been held for me since I'd reserved it the day before. Also, the truck had a check engine light on. It drove fine but was a little concerning.

The truck was in good condition and had no problems. When we picked up the uhaul the customer service representative failed to give us the dolly that was purchased.

Did not have dolly or furniture mover that I had reserved well in advance. If you reserve it, it should be there. Made the whole job a lot harder than it needed to be. Told us they would email receipt but 24 hours later they havent.

We scheduled a 7:00 am pick up on 10/11/14. We were informed on 10/10/14, by text message, that it was changed to 12:00 pm. We were able to get it at 11:00 am. That put us 4 hrs behind. We had people willing to help us move, We were lucky most were still able to help after the dramatic time change. Would have like to known this verbally, and not by a text message, so we knew what our options were.

I have rented Uhaul trucks/trailers in the past and have always been more than happy with products and services. This was not one of those times. I picked up the 17' uhaul truck I had reserved more than a week in advance and was told it was "good to go". The gentleman behind the counter didnt greet me, as he was too busy playing on his phone. I had to walk up to the counter I got home to start packing and decided to double check everything as we woukd be driving almost 300 miles with all of our belongings in it. The right rear brake light wasnt working properly, it smelled very strongly of cat feces in the cab, I found human toe nail clippings in the cab, and there was pet hair everywhere. Then I decided to check the fluid levels. Transmission and engine coolant levels were fine, but the oil was over a quart low.I had to spend my own time and money putting oil in this vehicle. When I told the uhaul representative at our return location about all of these issues, and how I didn't feel it was right for me to have to pay the full price for the rental, I was told I had already paid (with my debit card) and there was nothing he could do. I have used Uhaul in the past, and up until this point, had held Uhaul as the standard for renting moving equipment. Im now concerned I just got lucky the first few times. Im very displeased with spending almost 400$ on this rental.

The manager was motivated and hussled to ensure we were able to get in and get out. The only problem was with the trailer lights, one light not working; he fixed it however it took time to trouble shoot that light. A recommendation would be, when the trailers are reserved with a card to go out and check the lights prior to the customer arrival.

Trucks should be inspected before customer takes off lot. I recently rented a pick-up truck to transport some tile from local hardware store. Come to find out at the time of loading these products the Tail Gate to truck does not open. it really defeats the prupose of a trunk. After immdiately returning to Uhal dealer to bring to their attention I had asked if there was any type of compensation that can be done. They stated there was nothing they can do...Very poor customer servcie.

Quinten, the site manager, went above and beyond the call of duty when our military orders were suddenly changed. What could have been a disaster simply resulted in a bump in the road thanks to his prompt action.

I received additional charges for fuel. I made sure the fuel level was at the same level as when I started, I even pointed this out to the attendant. I did not have to wait, because I used a credit card and my receipt would be e-mailed. Receipt showed the added fuel charges.

They charged me $20 For gas. I put exactly how much was in the vehicle when I got it. I even took a picture. They never consulted with me before I left about charging me. This nickel and dime type attitude my make me choose differently in the future. I spent almost $1k on this truck. Oh well, I will look around next time.

I didn't get a recept showing I paid and when I returned the equipment I was told just leave it I wasn't needed to check it back in. How do I know they won't come back saying I didn't pay or return it?

Not happy with the upgrade of the truck from 17' to 20' truck. Made reservation for a 17' truck. This was a one-way rental from San Angelo to Manvel, TX with a drop off in Houston, TX. Picked the Houston, TX drop-off due to the saving on rental of truck. The online quoted me $276.00 for a one-way rental for a 17' truck with a drop off in Houston, TX. I printed the online showing the rate and truck selected. We received a confirmation email that we had reserved a 17' truck. The day before the pickup we received an email that our 20' truck could be picked up at 8:00am on 08/30/2014. Not a problem, we are used to getting a larger truck from San Angelo. When we picked up the truck not only was the truck upgraded, but the cost of the truck was also upgraded. Someone had gone in and changed the master rental reservation to make it look like we had reserved a 20' truck and we were paying a full rate for the truck. I have talked to customer service and they are useless. Not sure why U-Haul calls them customer service. Asked to speak to a manager and they were suppose to call me back. I did not hear back from the U-Haul supervisor. I have rented many a truck from U-Haul and have never had this problem before.

Rental location was changed by uhaul after I made the reservation. I received an email with details for the first location and then a second email with details for the new location. The second email didn't tell me that the location had changed. I didn't know if the location had changed or if there was a second rental.
