The man working the counter on 1/24/15 was the rudest customer service person that I’ve personally run into in years. The unfortunate part is that I later learned during this poor experience, it was the manager sitting next to him. Not once did he step in to try and take over to try to turn the situation around. As the Director of Operations over dental clinics, if I had a front desk person to show just a 1/10th of the attitude this person presented, they’d be gone in a heart beat. If and when I need these services I will drive out of my way to go to another location and/or competitor that appreciates that I’ve chosen to come to their establishment. If you don’t enjoy your job, especially customer service, it’s time to start looking for another.

I rented a truck, dolly and blankets online. They did not have a dolly for me. A dolly is as important as the truck. Was I supposed to move each box by hand?! Ridiculous! The incompetent clerk offered me an appliance dolly which doesn't really help since the foot is smaller and the weight is significantly more and said it would be at the same cost. The clerk charged me an additional $12 and argued defiantly that it was a credit, not a charge. I know how to add and subtract so I knew I was over charged. He finally looked in his computer and mumbled something. He told his co-worker that he didn't know how to take it out so he would re-do the whole order. The co-worker told him not to do that because it would cause more credit card holds. As I finally left the area, the employee hollered over 2 sets of displays to me "well, you got your $12 back." Yes, after I had to argue about it. What an idiot. He then apologized, without any sincerity to which I responded the apology should have occurred the moment he told me there was no dolly and again when I remarked about the overcharge. His co-worker Todd (or Tom) had nothing to say nor felt the need to assist this incompetent employee. If I had a backup plan, I would have walked away from the whole transaction, but as you know no one makes a plan B for what should have been a regular transaction that U-Haul does 1,000's of times a day. 100% disappointment doesn't begin to describe my reaction to the U-Haul Company and certainly a choice of "Poor" on this survey doesn't come close to indicating U-Haul's service.

The beginning of our move started with a truck that had a bad battery. Your service people had to come out and fix it because it was completely dead. My first one way trip I was charged extra due to going over my mileage. I explained that Texas had a white out from Amerillo through Lubbock and had to find a hotel because we couldn't continue safely. I was told sorry there was nothing they could do. The second part of our move was a in town 24 hour rental that I needed a couple extra hours. I asked if they would help me out but said they had to charge me for a full day. I accidently locked the keys in the truck and was told they had a bunch of extras just not for my truck and it would cost a trip across San Antonio to the head office and $50 rekeying fee. I am an active duty service member that has used you guys for most of my moves. I was going to use you for one more one way from Denver to San Antonio this weekend but now looking into another company.

They have ALWAYS been my favorite uhaul location...Great customer service even when it was MEGA FREEZING COLD! Oscar went the extra mile to make sure we had a great customer service experience.

The price was misleading. It wasn't 19.99 as advertised. The estimate online stated a price of $31 but in the end the total price was near $50 just to rent a van for about 2 hours. I didn't need it for a 4-hour block. Also, when I returned the van while the store was still open, there was no one for me to deliver the key to. I ended up leaving the key on the counter.

The employee that helped me at pick up was rude and condescending. When I walked into the location there was one employee leaning on some equipment watching me but did not bother to greet me. I reserved the truck online and it states that most moves take approximately 4 hours and asked how long I would like the truck for, I put 24 hours. When I got to the location the employee who checked me out asked in a very rude way if I REALLY needed the truck for 24 hours because they don't rent the truck for that long. They only rent it for 4 hours since it was in such high demand. I stated I would not be bringing it back that night as it was 5 p.m. when i picked it up and that online it allowed me to pick 24 hours. I was made to feel as if I did something wrong and I agreed to bring the truck back at noon which was 5 hours earlier than expected. The truck smelled and was dirty in the back before I used it. The only redeeming part of this experience was that the employee who did the return was very pleasant and quickly handled the return. I have used Uhaul many times in the past but this was by far the worst experience.

We rented a Uhaul at the above location and the Manager Todd Utz told us we could drop off the Uhaul at any place in Colorado. We explained to him that we may need to take the Uhaul to Denver Colorado instead of Pueblo Colorado and he said that would be fine as long as it was in Colorado. We received an extra charge for $247.00 which is incorrect, because Todd said we could drop it off anywhere. It would be very heIpful if your staff would give the correct information and know they job. I would appreciate a call back from whom ever is in charge of this situation.
