This was my best U-Haul experience to date. The guys at CV Pickup and Delivery were very easy to work with, very friendly and accommodating, and the truck was practically new with less than 10,000 miles, I loved it. Additionally, I didn't feel the added pressure of trying to be sold a storage unit or feel that I'm treated worse than a "regular customer" renting a U-Haul, meaning if you don't have a huge monthly fee with their store, you don't get very good U-Haul service. I did feel that way at Solana Beach Storage but from now on, I'm using CV Pickup, they were great.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this location. I have used uhaul several times in the last few years to pick up furniture, relocate etc. But never had an experience like this. Let me start from the beginning. When I called the 1-800 number with Uhaul, I was given this location. I was told this location accepted after hours drop off, and that I could drop off the trailer after hours. It was very critical that I be allowed to drop off the trailer after hours because I knew I could not make it by 5:00 pm (the latest any location in the general area stayed open on Sunday), and I would not be able to drop it off on Monday, When I arrived at the location to drop off the trailer (after hours), a man was there who told me I could not drop it off. After explaining the situation, the man I spoke with was not understanding, and said "maybe you can drop it off tomorrow." I am not sure what "maybe" is supposed to mean. I needed to drop off the trailer that night as I was not going to be able to drop it off the next day. I would not have the truck the next day to even be able to drop it off. I had no choice. I had also driven over 20 minutes to get there to drop it off (even though there are several locations that are closer to me) because it was an after hours location. He said trailers are not allowed to be dropped off after hours. However, never once was I told this, even though I asked specifically for after hours drop off from 1. the location I picked the trailer up from, and 2. the 1-800 number. When the man realized I had no choice, he let me leave the trailer but said "I am going to charge you for everything I can possibly get away with." I cannot believe someone could be so disrespectful, rude, difficult etc. Despite my frustration, I did not lose my cool, I just felt completely stuck. It really hindered my experience with Uhaul in general. But BE WARNED about this location.

Parking situation not optimal but I believe it's difficult to change on that location. Personnel, especially attendant at getting desk provides excellent, courteous service.

Gave me a broken key and didn't tell me .when they pulled up the truck it was already running.so when I got to my location I took the key out and lock the doors.i realized half the key was missing.look for it and found it in the ignition.i only had the key chain and the top half of the key with tape around it.

The workers present when I picked the vehicle up were very friendly and helpful. It was a busy morning with many people there to pick up and the line was understandably long. The clerk repeatedly apologized for the wait and and the other workers were doing their best to move people through. I performed the vehicle inspection and left, but before I had left the street I noticed that the gas gauge read 3/8 tank while the contract read 9/16. I returned to the Uhaul location and got the attention of one of the employees. I pointed out the discrepancy and said that it was no problem and to bring the vehicle back with 3/8 tank. Again I was very happy with the service. The vehicle was not clean on pickup, but not badly so. Some debris in the cab, along with a previous rental contract and a few pieces of trash in the cargo area. It did not bother me, as this is a work vehicle. I returned the vehicle the same day after hours, I was expecting to just park the vehicle and drop the key in the night drop but there were actually employees there. (about 9pm) As I walked up, the owner or manager (barking orders to everyone around) offered to take the keys for me. I commented about the fuel tank discrepancy and what I had been told that morning and he immediately got angry. He accused me of not being able to read a gas gauge. I noticed the employee that I had seen that morning and indicated this to the owner who then turned his anger on his employee, still accusing me of not being able to read a gas gauge. I informed the owner that I am an FAA Licensed Aircraft Mechanic and a Mechanical Engineer, and I can certainly read a gas gauge. This didn't seem any concern to him and he continued berating the employee, who seemed very browbeat. This was obviously a regular occurrence. I thanked the employee, told him that he was very helpful that morning and apologized for the trouble that I had gotten him into and then left. This owner or manager is extremely unprofessional, and really reflected badly on UPS. I am shocked at the quality of employees he seems to keep working for him, and hope that they can move to a better location soon. Even if an employee has made an error, you absolutely do not yell at them in front of a customer. Also his immediate assumption that the customer was in error was appalling. This man has no respect for his customers or his employees. I will not be going back to this location. If anyone asks me I will tell them to go elsewhere, there is another location less than 4 miles away. I will also be leaving a poor yelp review for this location. This man does not deserve to be in business.

The attendant smelled horrible, he did not have mine or the other 5 people's reservation available and ready when we arrived to pick it up. The truck was filthy and smelled like the attendant guy all day, their was trash in the cab. To check out the truck I spent an hour, even though I did early check in online. The appliance dolly he gave me was broken, wouldn't standup on its own, and was also filthy-covered in grease. I would never rent a truck from this place again.

The truck had trash and old food on the inside of the cab. The inside of the storage area had not been swept and had dirt and grime in it. The outside of the truck was also dirty and the wheels had mud on them. I paid for 6 pads and 1 dolly. When I got the truck home none of them had been put in the truck so I had to go back and pick them up. I only received 5 pads. The man helping me never explained anything to me about the truck or showed me the inside of the truck before I left.
