You advertise you're 17 foot truck for $29.99. You fail too mention all the fees which brings the price up to around $100.00. A little more disclosure in your advertising would be nice.

When I picked up my vehicle, I was told that the truck was due back in less than 6 hours. You advertise your rentals as 29.95 a day...not for 6 hours. I told the salesman that I would have never agreed to a 6 hour rental with the majority of my help arriving after 10 am...I was very disappointed.

The pickup location was 50 minutes from my location. It was very inconvenient to have the pickup location changed with less than 24 hours before pickup time. The pickup location was moved from 5 minutes from my location to 50 minutes. This is ridiculous.

There was only one employee on duty and she was completely overwhelmed by the volume of customers who had to wait because a customer returning a truck was involved in an accident. The employee had to spend one hour completing the required forms and was not able to help any other customers until she completed the transaction. We had reserved a truck for 4:00 and didn't get it until after 5:00. The employee was very, very patient and never got ruffled, but she was obviously frustrated she could not help anyone else.

We had to bring the truck back to have the windshield wipers updated. The service rep although very pleasant seemed to take a while to complete the transaction. In addition, I attempted to reserve a trailer to be picked up at a later date. He was unable to complete on line and neglected to tell me the reason (no trailer available in the area) but advise me to reserve on my one. This proved to be extremely difficult as the website keep trying to add a truck to the reservation and we already had the truck. I was bounced to several people and call centers before a trailer was found. (30 min away) that was available when I needed it. I felt this all could have been resolved when I picked up the truck.

I was a little confused on the rates. Bringing the truck back with 7/8 of a tank is also a little confusing. get it full, and bring it back full is easier to figure out, since there is no 7/8 on the gas guage. Minor points, the service was good.

Not to have the truck break down!!!When you have 5 kids driving 4 hours to move!!!That Sucks!!!I was happy that you put us up in a nice hotel.Free dinner would have been Great too!!:(

Overall I had a good experience. My only issue is that I was charged for an extra day when I didn't even have the truck for 24 hours. I originally was planning to have the truck back by 2:00PM but issues arose and I returned it by 4:00PM. The truck was picked up at 6:30PM the night before so again I did not even have the truck for a full day (24 hours) and I was charged for an extra day's rental ($39.95) and an extra day's insurance ($14.00). I realize that I signed that I would have the truck back at 2:00PM but to be charged an extra day for an extra 2 hours for a truck that I didn't even have for 24 hours is excessive to me. I own a business in a customer service field and there are always issues where people aren't able to meet to what they agreed to and I always find a middle ground and treat them with the best service possible. I felt in this instance I was treated like a number and everything was done by the book and my happiness was not considered. The old saying the customer is always right seems to be a lost concept. I want people coming back to my business so I treat them with the utmost respect and courtesy even when they are wrong. It may cost me a few dollars here and there but I know I have treated them as fairly as possible and they go away feeling satisfied and will recommend my business to others. I would recommend U-haul to others but with the caveat, make sure you completely understand what the contract states because the contract is always right, not the customer.

Could have reviewed truck and truck contents before renting. Gave me keys and told me which truck it was. I had never rented before and would not have needed the hand truck in the vehicle. It go tin the way and to move it would have cost us. Also would have provided more of own drop cloths if we knew there was a charge when renting. Although a 14ft truck, inner floor space is not 14 ft. It appears you measure from the top of the truck including attic section. Need 14 ft on floor. It was tight. But we fit it in, Check in was good.

I used to work for a truck rental company so I knew the different steps I needed to take. Luckily I did make sure to do a thorough walk through with the truck, realized that the location didn't include my furniture dollies that I ordered in the truck. I thought a rep was supposed to do a walk through with you, but I guess Uhaul operates a little differently. But all in all it was a very quick, easy rental. My truck was available at my requested time and all though the truck was a little banged up... as expected, it served it's purpose and ran well and got the job done.
