Drove the uhaul 20 miles. Forgot to fill up. Asked the guy who took my key how much I would be charged (to decide whether or not to just go back and fill it up) I was told "slightly more than the going gas prices" I was charged over thirty dollars for at most 2 gallons of gas. Absolutely ridiculous. Handy Andy is getting my business next time.

When I arrived I was not given the right vehicle that I reserved This made it so I had to go back inside and redo paperwork I was pressed for time so its these little things that can really make or break a review However I had a very friendly sales person so that was helpful

Online system changed pickup location multiple times without notification. I tried to change my options by calling, and each of the representatives could do nothing. Finally went to pick up location and the clerks were slow, incompetent assholes. Never again will I use uhaul.

It was crowded with U-Haul vehicles so it wasn't immediately clear where to drop off the truck afterwards. Other than that minuscule thing, it was a great experience.

My checkout time was very busy. I suggest having an express line available for those that completed the information online. My check in was delayed because of one potential customer asking many questions but in the end deciding to go somewhere else.

Very good. Best to reserve online and use the express check in. That will save you a lot of time when get there. It only took me 5 minutes to check in and off I go with the 9' van.

- Lady attendant was not friendly at all. - Initial remaining gas estimate provided by the attendant was wrong. I was not asked by attendant to verify remaining gas estimate on the truck before signing the document.

Renting from here proves much better than the weird little independent places like gas stations or bike shops. Always plenty of staff to help, plenty of trucks for flexibility given an issue. Easy, quick, and efficient.

However, i rented a vehicle a few weeks back and was overcharged for gas....had the receipts and all to prove it but was told i need to go online to settle the dispute. $20 bucks i'm out because i don't have the time to do this right now.

Reservation was made by an employee from another rental/storage company who didn't have the truck size I needed and Sue was very helpful when I got to their lot. The truck was ready and waiting and we were on our way in under 10 minutes. Returning and paying for the rental was also no problem although the clerk could've been a little bit more cheerful and less grumpy. I will go back there again if ever I need another moving truck.

I rented a van. Online it said $0.79 per mile. When I picked it up the paperwork said $0.89 per mile. The counter attendant said we'll fix the price when you drop it off. 4 days later I drop it off. I tell the counter attendant about the price error. She says she'll fix it. Just got my bill emailed to me. They didn't fix it. Not happy.

I'm not sure how to list all the things we'd like improved. So I'll make a list of our contacts with UHaul in general and the Shoreline store specifically. 1. We originally ordered on-line the Sport Trailer, months in advance, the follow-up both online and by phone were competent and timely, but we were informed 2 days before our long-awaited trip with friends who had flown across the country for their first car-camping trip, that to pick it up we would have to drive 200 miles round trip or take a ferry/and drive maybe 50 miles round trip. Not sure who's fault that was, but a real irritation to us. Don't promise what you can't deliver. We had been assured that a sport trailer would be available for us in the Seattle area. It would have cost us a minimum of 5 hours of our time and lots of gas/ferry fee to pick it up. 2. So we settled for a 4x4x8 trailer as substitute, to be picked up in Shoreline/close to home, that was OK but we really had no alternative... our friends were due to arrive the next morning. 3. It took to us an inordinately long time to get all the paperwork done... The folks manning the computers seemed slow and incompetent. But, eventually a guy hooked it up while we watched, checked the lights, and said we were good to go. But I checked the tires and one had a huge bald spot, decidedly unsafe, a blowout waiting to happen... Attached to a car with 2 little kids on their first camping trip with lots of relatively isolated road miles... Could have been a ruined trip. 4. So, another guy switched us to a 4x4x8 at the same as the 4x4x8 price... that was OK. That trailer was clean, in good condition, worked fine, easy to tow, had a successful trip. 5. We bought your insurance and were told that if we returned a day early we would get a refund for the extra day of rent and insurance. 6. When we returned it, we did get that refund/reduced charge; but it took 3 different times of telling the young woman handling our paperwork that we were entitled to a day less than our original rental time-line. This was our first time renting a trailer. Next time, U-Haul will be the last trailer firm we'll contact for such an endeavor. And if we do, we won't visit the Shoreline store. How to improve? - more competent employees - employees whose interactions are more respectful and professional - don't put unsafe equipment into operation... No way should the customer EVER be the one to notice a potentially unsafe piece of equipment. - make it clear in advance that the sport trailer might be available at a location far away from where you want to pick it up.

This has the be the worst U-Haul location I have ever been to. Nobody seemed to know what they were talking about and it takes forever to even get help. I walked in to pick up my rental and the girl at the desk looked right at me then walked out back, after a few minutes the other person at the desk asked if I had been helped and said that he didn't help clients but the other person would be right back... another several minutes went by without someone coming back to I asked again for help and he had to go out back to get people to come help me. It was the same person that saw me walk in. I also asked a guy in a "General Manager" shirt if I could drop off my U-Haul and night and he said that this location doesn't do that, even though it clearly said 24 hour drop off. I asked another person and he said that the "General Manager" didn't know what he was talking about and said that I could and that it would be the same price. I did drop it off after hours and was charged a second day. I called after receiving my bill and was told that someone would call me back soon. Hours went by without a phone call so I went in to the location and a woman there said that I would be refunded for the extra day, but said she had to keep the piece of paper that had the refund amount on there. Days went by without any confirmation of my refund so I called again and was transferred to customer service who said it hadn't gone though, but that she would take care of it for me. There was also another charge on my card from U-Haul that I hadn't noticed before and she couldn't figure out what it was, so she put in a request to have a manager at the Shoreline location call me to go over the charge with me, this was suppose to happen within 3 business days... 5 business days went by without a phone call so I called back yet again and got transferred around a bunch until I got in touch with a regional manager who just did a refund for the amount for me since clearly the manager of this location has no idea what customer service is. An hour after this, the manager found the time to call me (I'm assuming because the regional manager called him), and even then he sounded bored to talk to me and I had no interest in wasting any more time with this issue. The moral of this is not that U-Haul is a bad company, but this location is a joke. There is a serious lack of customer service and I would NEVER recommend this place to another person.

We barrow u haul there so that we will save from millage coz we are moving to auburn which we have nearest uhaul but we rent from aurora where we are going to get our things and just plan to return the uhaul to auburn but they did not allow us to do so which we know uhaul does allow that uhaul policy and that cost us double our millage coz we have to go back to their place when we are already here in auburn, now we waste time, money and effort and a car for the driver of uhaul to drive going back to auburn and that is quite distance and the reason we barrow uhaul at the first place is we know we can return it to any uhaul location nearest to us location, if we knew that they are scam we never should have barrow from them but its too late for us near closing time and needed to be done. and also they charge us 2 days when uhaul policy is 24 hours, so that is double scam, we return the uhaul 1 hour before the 24 hours duration uhaul pilicy and they just keep over charging us. We are loyal customer, this branch is cheating the uhaul customer with their very demanding rules just so they earn to the disadvantage of us client. This happen to us before too, same Aurora Shoreline location, if you will see all your records of us, the one before this and we just ignore it and I say no review comment, the last time before this we like to return it where it is close to the place where we are bringing the things but they will charge us higher and give the amount and it is cheaper for us to return the uhaul to them place and I just let them get away with it co'z I trust uhaul and I thought this will never be done again by them but it happens and defying the uhaul policy and I gave that uhaul branch a really bad reputation.
