The general manager, James was not helpful at all. He was not willing to help me resolve a problem that came up in the midst of our transaction and bordered on rude. If it wasn't for him, I would recommend the shop highly, but his attitude was condescending and offensive.

I did not check it, I took the u-haul employee's word for it that everything was working. When I started to load I found the cargo light out. Also there was trash behind the seat in the cab. The cargo light cost me two nights of loading. They did not charge me for turning in truck late in Scottsdale because of U- haul causing me inconvenient. Thank you Joel at U-haul in Scottsdale. I will use U-haul again. U-haul is cheaper than Budget! Thanks!!!'

Clean the truck and at the very least clean the windows.

We put in a gallon more than the instructions said to, and it still registered less than the 3/4 tank that we were told to return the truck with. We explained and showed the gas receipts and were not charged. Great! The people were helpful both when we picked up the truck and when we dropped it off. Renting this UHaul was effortless. After a long day of moving that was appreciated!

Happy with the service - Despite having a number of customers in front of me, the team expeditiously had me off and running so I could complete my move with time to spare.

Have employees tell customers the hours of operation so one can be sure to rent where cash can be exchanged for services. Give info about vehicles; no dolly in truck, no ramp etc. It might be nice if the employees walked around the vehicle & inspected it with you instead of sitting behind the counter like they were being punished and couldn't leave their chairs. Also, I didn't appreciate being told there was no room for my car when the customer spots were empty and being told to go park a block and a half away! I am so disgusted with Uhaul I'd never reccomend this company. I'll use Budget or any other company first. Never again!!!

General Manager was like a machine and disingenuine. I asked a simple question on how the car carrier operated and he said he had no idea and told me to read the paperwork. After 3 times he called a yard hand over who told me the basics in less than a minute. GM said "thank you" at the end of every sentence. Through the check-out process I was told thank you at least 20 times; so there's this appearance of politeness, yet he was actually rude and not very helpful. He was also demeaning to the yard help in front of customers when they came in the office. That really looks unprofessional. I'm sure it would be a nightmare working for him there.

Everyone did a great job. The store was very busy during pick up and the staff accommodated customers very well. During drop off one staffer was dealing with a very disruptive customer and did a fantastic job working through an insurance issue. Kudos to all staff working at the location.

First let me say, I walked in to rent an open trailer to move small furniture items. I have, in the past, reserved many uhaul trucks, trailers and moving vans. On this occasion, I was given the paperwork to go inspect the trailer for any damage. I saw none so I returned to the office with my paperwork and was just about to get my truck to hook the trailer to when one of the other employees came in and said one if the four tires in the trailer was flat. Now even I can tell when a tire is flat but since there was a second tire on that side it was not obvious since the inflated tire held up that side if the trailer, I guess. It was not said why or what caused that tire to go flat. So, now a different trailer after changing all the paperwork. Hooked up the second trailer and drove off the lot. I went home, loaded up the trailer, drive to the storage unit, unloaded the trailer then returned the trailer to the same uhaul location I rented it. A different employee helped unhook the trailer. As he did, I saw him kick one of the tires on the right side. He made his notes on the ticket then asked if I'd tske it in to his manager, the same manager that rented the trailer to me. He then announced what I owed, including an additional $24 for a nail in a tire. I want to point out that this additional cost is not my reason for this post. My reason is the following explanation the manager have me. He told me that all equipment is inspected before it leaves the lot and when it returns. My issue is if this is the case, how could he be renting me a trailer, from off their lot, with a flat tire, that supposedly had been inspected when it was returned. If that trailer he wanted to rent me at first had been inspected and had been checked out ok, then that means that tire became flat while on their lot so what makes him think the same thing didn't happen with the second trailer he rented me. I did not see any employee take a floor jack, lift the trailer and spin each tire to make sure there were no nails in any of the tires. Because this is what the employee did when I returned the trailer. Now $24 is not going to make or break me but I am fortunate to know a place I could have had the tire fixed for free. I was given thst opportunity by the manager only I had dropped the trailer off while on my way to work do I didn't have the time. My suggestion to anyone renting any equipment with wheels is to insist you get them to lift and inspect the tires with you standing there looking as well.

The only complaint is that they didn't have a furniture dolly available, which I had reserved. Turns out my moving helpers had one, but I didn't know that until I met up with them. Other than that everything was perfect.

The salesperson on duty when I picked up the trailer was rude. It was not the manager James. It seems like whenever there's more than a few customers, that the slow speed of a transaction is more apparent.

I was not allowed to leave my car parked in the UHaul lot while I used the UHaul truck. I was forced to move my car down the block and around the corner to park on the public street. I had my 5-year old with me so he was forced him to walk and I had to carry his car seat back to the UHaul lot after moving our car. I'm sure a good percentage of your customers also would need to leave a car parked on the lot. seems like poor planning, you should have enough parking on your site for your customers. your customers should be number one (you would have no business without them) and you should anticipate their needs and provide for them. there are a bunch of RV's parked in the back, seems like some of those could be moved out to provide parking for your customers. I have seen other UHaul lots that have no parking, this seems to be a company wide issue. I did visit one UHaul lot in Las Vegas that had lots of parking but that's the only one I've seen like it. thanks for the opportunity to comment.

If they are renting a large truck may I suggest you provide them with a little instruction about the emergency brakes, air conditioning, etc. A comment about not using the air conditioning when climbing a grade, etc.
